*Veris awoke with a scream, the linnen wet with his sweat. He was breathing hard, it was the same dream again. His beloved wife dying in the explosion at the FTL center, as he moved the rustle of paper made him look down. It was the letter she had written before she had gone to work that fateful day*.

"My love i will do as you ask of me and accept the cheif of research postion at the hydrogen labs, don't wait up for me as we will be working late today. With all my soul"

*A single tear rolled down his cheek and he tossed the letter on the bed as he got up, somehow he had to get back to his old self again*.

Ofcorse it will work *Yvesse smirked getting really annoyed with the director or research*, it's the fith time you have asked me this.

*The director resisted an urge to wipe that smirk of her face*
But it looks really small, no bigger than a torpedo.

Director.. *Yvesse began, but was interupted by her more diplomatic college*.

Yes it looks small but we can not produce a bigger engine, we simply do not have the technology for it. And it is the only way we can in a controlled way test the FTL engine, and yes director we have made sure that it will not be a hazard. Nothing can go wrong in such a controlled environment, *Enna smiled at the director and wished he would be satisfied, the hour was late and she really wanted to be home with her husband*..
