The funeral procession marched down the long streets of Danube, the capital of Communist Likon. The glass coffin of the LEADER was covered in flower petals from the many mourners lining the streets.
Finally the procession reached the Parliment house, where the ceremony would be conducted. As the ceremony of mourning began, two men stared across the coffin at each other.
On one side, was Winston Romonova, the minister of Foreign Affairs, and deputy leader of the Party for Progress! The program set up before the LEADERS death set up to install a democratic system within Communist Likon.
On the other was General Nilats, the leader of the IDF (Internal Defense Force) and a known supporter of continuance of a Dictatorial system.
Before his death the LEADER had instituted a plan that general elections should be held directly after his death. With General Theodore, General Likon's top military man and main contender to head the new government, installing peace on the colony of Justarianism one of these men must take power, or risk civil war.
Who should it be?

Are you suggesting a takeover upon his country while it is in anarchy? That's a severely low form of imperialism.

My red and black nation works great. I seriously recommend that you try it out. Dunno who of those candidates are better though.

As the Five Civilized Nations is an ally of the Communist Likon, we will not willingly interfere... What did the LEADER chose as his successor?

We don't even know these people, so how can we vote for one? Try posting their backgrounds in short.

Before his death, the LEADER intituted a plan for an election held DIRECTLY after his death. He had also planned for his m,ost trusted advisor General Theodore to supervise, and hopefully win the election.
However as General Theodore is currently supervising the re establishment of peace in the Colony of Justarisnism, and can not be back in time for the election, so it must be held without him.

Winston Romonova-48 years old, is the minister of foreign affaris and has been since the Revolution 8 years ago. During the Revolution he fought alongside his comrades and was a confidant of The LEADER. He believes in democracy, peaceful co-existance with other nations even Capitalist ones, and is known to favour giving up Communist Likons colonies.

General Nilats-42 years old, is the leader of the IDF, and has protected Communist Likon from revolutions and other internal problems for 6 years. Before this he was a Colonel in the Army who did not have any part in the Revolution, as he was overseas for it's entire duration, some believe purposefully. He has high charisma and believes in forcing confrontations with other Capitalist nations, higher spending on the military, and the retaining of current colonies and it is expected the attaining of new ones.

I suggest that General Theodore be allowed to return and participate in the coming elections... As the Five Civilized Nations is helping out in Justarisnism, we will keep the peace...

General Theodore rushed to the Parliment House as quickly as he could. His plane had just landed and he had received no news about the election for 2 days.
Sending a message to halt the election until his return via official IDF channels 3 days earlier. But as he entered the building he knew that it had not been received, that or it had been ignored.
"May i present the new and unquestionable leader of Communist Likon, General Nilats!"Yelled the presenter. General Nilats supporters cheered and yelled. General Nilats looked around and seeing the defeated look upn Theodores face he smiled.
Two large IDF men grabbed General Theodore and dragged him to IDF headquarters. Theodores only regret was that he never got to speak to his wife again.

Silently, fifty JadeOps commandos crept into the dungeons of the prison complex, intent to find General Theodore. Already they had killed several incompetent guards. Finding General Theodore's cell, two commandos blow the lock up and creep inside. General Theodore, bruised and battered, glanced up with resignation.

"My name is Captain Joshua Reynolds, 33rd JadeOps Company, I'm here to rescue you..." One of the commandos spoke up...

In utter daze, General Theodore is taken out of the complex, but before the commandos had gone far, they were met by two companies of Red Guards under General Nilats.

"Did you think, I would let him go that easily?" General Nilats said.

As he spoke fifty additional commandos melted out of the shadows using Bushwackers and machine guns on the Communist Likon troops.

As the commandos retreated into a massive park commemorating Communist Likon's war dead, a trio of J-22 Transport Helicopters decloak. The commandos and General Theodore climb aboard. Within minutes, the helicopters cloaked again and disappeared from sight.

Losses:
23 commandos killed
17 commandos wounded
3 commandos captured

General Nilats crept out from under the corpse of a Red Guard soldier. He knew that his IDF agent would complete his task and destroy the parliment of the Five Civilsed Nations.
Silently he walked down through the dungeons to the lowest cell. There stood General Theodore staring at the body of The Leader.
Standing next to Theodore, Nilats said "Father looks powerful even in death does he not?"
In a solemn voice Theodore replied. "Yes brother, he does."
