In a spat of scientific enlightenment Saskatchetoba emerged as a universally atheist nation. Small isolated groups of religious still remain however. The small, but noticable, population of catholics in Saskatchetoba's northern regions are vying for rights of worship in predominantly atheist areas and legislation for a five day work week, instead of the mandatory six. An incident occured a few weeks ago in the city of Moose Jaw Hat City where a throng of catholics stormed a politburo administration complex injuring several workers and inadvertently sending the nation in an uproar against the pope worshipping cross lovers. Many are hauled up in the politburo, and many others are dead. The government has intervened in an attempt to protect the minority group, but many soldiers are apathetic or even aiding the violence. Saskatchetoba is awaiting international response and claims no responsibility for any more deaths, but will supply sufficient and immidiate assistance in removing the group to any nation willing to accept the assylum seekers. Saskatchetoba will not accept any military presence from foreign governments and will offer financial compensation of no more than the cost of military presence in areas of unrest. ($11 million/week) The unrest has currently lasted 3 weeks and is estimated to only last a few more assuming most minority groups will flee or be killed. Why must you insist on limiting your scientific world? A true scientist would seek to gain all knowledge he could... your scientists dismiss the beginning of the universe, or other realms, other planes of existance, and you deny the fact that we are not the only inhabitants of this universe... why do you limit yourselves by dismissing some theories and embracing other even more unbeleiveable theories.

The Saskatchetoban scientific community does not dismiss the after-world or other planes of meta-physical being, but does serve to dissuade its population from adopting unelightened or conjectural untruths based on faiths and beliefs. The persecution of minority religious groups in parts of Saskatchetoba is inevitable. Their faith-based, unfounded doctrines are in violation of Saskatchetoban Atheist law that each citizen is bound to under social contract.
