The Vascilian League has mobilized its massive resources to the annexation of the nationstate of New Roan. The Nation has threatened numerous times to use WMD on our allied nation of Noriegania. We as a nation have grown tired of this constant bullying by an inferior nation.
The Reserves have been mobilized, bringing our armed forces up to its wartime strength of 55 million men and women. We preffered not to seek war with the Roanian peoples but they have left us no choice but to remove them from our presence.

The Anti-Funitist Airforce will begin flying Combat Air Patrols over Norieganian territory to insure that no Chemical or Biological weapon will get through.

Eh 55 million is way too high... I have maybe some 20 million infantry (during total war) and around some 30 million war personnel total during total war. Plus, some has to go the defense or I could just attack and occupy you.

Also, where are you supplies or logistics? No trucks, no budgetary numbers, no petrol, no food?

heres the deal...when I read the post on how to build armies it said "it is possible to Dragoon a large amount of the population into the armed forces" and that is exactly what Ive been doing since the beginning of my nation, I have the 2,575th largest Defence force in the world suggesting that I have a large amount of man power, Also I have the 2,382nd largest defence budget.

Meaning I have a decently well equipped army during wartime...with a problem regarding discipline.

Imperator Kinezki recieved his orders a matter of seconds after the declaration of hostilities, he was to remove all Roanian vessels from Martian orbit as soon as possible. He had the entirety of the AF fleet at his disposal, 420 heavily armed space craft split between 8 fleets and sectors of responsibility.

"Please inform the Overlords of the circumstances, also relay my orders to them." gurgled the Imperator, he had already come up with a plan of attack, aided by his cybernetic enhancements. The most threatening Roanian fleet assets would be his base on Phobos, an immediate attack on it would be fool hardy with out first neutralizing any external threats to the fleet. So, the mission would begin in earnest, Search and Destroy. The AF Fleet would cloak itself and hunt their enemy...destroying enemy vessels in hit and run attacks.

Roania...if you ignore me, I swear to god you're the lamest person in the world. The Vascilian League is more than certain in its victory over Mars. You are far to stretched to defend it properly.

"War? On Mars? Already? Damn!"

"Yessir."

Usually, Brian Walton would not have to talk to his Minister of Defense for a week or more at a time. This was the second time today. "Yes to which one?"

"To 'damn' of course." Meyer smiled over the secure link.

"Vascilia is walking a dangerous line."

"We would have a hard time taking the entire county by ourselves, even if invading New Roan. We're simply not set up for invasion, too busy with enus, and they are too far away from our power center."

"True, but we could give them one hell of a bloody nose on our own."

"That we could."

"And we wouldn't be on our own."

"Are you sure of that?"

"Mostly. Almost entirely."

"But not enough to take action."

"No, not enough to take action, not unilateral action."

"What is your decision?"

"We wait. If they invade, they will fatigue, and they will bring themselves right out into the open."

"How long?"

"Until our friends act, then we support them. Or until we have a chance to act with our friends, if it comes to that."

"We'll be ready."

"You always have been Helena," Walton smiled, "you always have been."

They both terminated the link at about the same time, both thinking the same thing, Damnit! Why does everything have to happen at once?

The reports from the sattelites came in and spread like wildfire throughout the Nodelink. It had started. The Pilonese people began to mobilize their defence forces in preparation for the inevitable attack.

In response to this, the NGEN Corporation has mobolised its entire fleet to Mars. We would like to remind the Vascilia County that the NGEN Corporation is not above orbital bombardment.

"Anythink from Tor Yvresse yet?" "Not yet." "We will wait - they may have tossed them to the wolves after all the stunt's they pulled." Admiral Filbeck was pacing the deck of the 'Assassin' while the information flooded in from the VDA's and satillite network.

"Admiral - response from TYCS and MIDAS forces. They are raising their alert status." 'Not that they are not always at a high alert anyway,' she thought. "Planetary defense ready?" "Always. I've also got MAC shepparding civilian traffic into a northern polar orbit."

"And civilian readyness?" "Armories are prepped, and outside access is restricted to 'need' only. Civil defense is ramping up - no bomb shelters yet, but they will be ready."

"Let's hope this will just be a good excersize."

In responce to the sudden actions of other nations Pilonia also raises the threat rating of their military and calls in all deployed ships back to their home bases. In an official statement Pilonia declares that any hostile forces moving through, under, or over Pilonia will be considered an act of war.

Captain Hizerk was flying a combat airpatrol over Norieganian territory nothing seemed to be going on across the border in New Roan, it was quiet, a little to quiet. AF Forces have been incredibly nervous about the prospect of war, very few of the Ground Forces have seen any combat. The last war was almost thirty years ago and AF Participation was limited. The Fleet at least had some experienced crews, seeing action against Crimmond in the past months. But they weren't here, they weren't planetside. Hizerk would have to keep flying his patrols until High Command acted.

The Imperator had recieved a report from the New Overlord Sanian, the previous Overlords post had been filled up by his daughter Filomena Sanian. "May the Founder damn these outdated tithes" muttered Kinezki. The report came as a shock, all 8 fleets of the AFSDF had encountered no enemies, absolutely none. This disturbed him. Roania had an overwhelming presence around Mars. "This stinks" said one of the Imperators Junior officers, The Imperator couldn't have put it any better.

This was the speech played on all public adress plates through out The Theocracy of Anti-Funitism, the speaker is Overlord Rogal Kint of the Strategic weapons branch. He is also the spokesperson of the Defence Forces.

"For hundreds of years our Roanian neighbours had sought to best us, in production, in trade and in war. Everytime they have failed. It is our job as Warriors to make sure that our enemies will be defeated, to prevent the demise of our noble allies. The Colony of New Roan is the greatest threat to the integrity of the Vascilian League since the Nietchzians had power in Bajon...they have threatened to gas the peace loving peoples of Noriegania and have made troop movements to make such an attempt. It is with a heavy heart that we must take this pre-emptive action to safeguard our borders from Colonial Aggression. Many lives will be lost by the time this war is done...some of the more Liberal members of our society may sit back and claim that Roania won't use Chemical weapons on Noriegania, but I believe the evidence is clear enough that they would. The Principality of Roania has used these exact same weapons on their own people! Noriegania has not asked for war, they have done nothing to provoke conflict. Roania is the obvious Antagonist here.

So I say, for the glory of the League. LET US MAKE WAR!"

This stirring piece of Propaganda steeled the hearts of the people of the AF against Roania.

Historians would look back on this conflict as easily preventable, they would have said that the simple admittance of the Vascilian League into MIDAS would have gotten them to cooperate diplomatically with these nations but instead the MIDAS nations lead themselves into the most costly war the planet will have seen in the past Millenia.

I think the historians are correct, but you could prove them wrong. If the League were allowed into MIDAS they would become uber cooperative, OOCly me and my Allies would become more liberal as a result.

"Last we checked Roania wasn't in MIDAS. If you attack the AF or its allies you will provoke the wrath of our defence partners abroad" Overlord Kint made the statement quickly and abruptly cut off the NGEN rep. "Get into contact with Bajon and see of they'll back us." ordered Kint.

Indeed, I was planning to do so today, but circumstances kept me from being on the computer.

OOC: While we have had our differences in the past Roania, I realize this might be a hard decision and I salute you for making it.

As far as his removal from Mars, it is easily accomplished. He sends his people to other nations, and they take civilian flights to their destination. The Roanian military leaves on their transports.

I actually wanted to speak with Anti Funitism before he left. :(

The only Roanians around Mars are on Pinnacle Base on Phobos. 8)

OOC: Defending? Who said we were defending anything? IC I'd watch you get splattered without shedding a tear. We are just being cautious.

we will harbor any Roanians who need a place to live. As our allies they deserve nothing less.

OOC: Wazzu isn't exactly an ally to Roania, but as New Roan is a colony (just as Wazzu Elysium is), it sees Vascilia County's aggression against New Roan as a potential threat to Wazzu.

As it is, it looks like Vascilia County is about to gain new territory.

5 Legions of AF Shock troops burst across the borders of New Roan all under the Command of a Single Overlord, Zhukat! The Hammer of Mars was blessed by the founder himself to lead this mission. "Today is a great day for the League brothers!" exclaimed the Overlord, obviously very pleased with himself.

It took three days for the legions to cross New Roan and they experienced three days of limited combat. When Overlord Zhukat accomplished his mission he recieved a message from the Founders staff, it told him that Roania had left Mars, "Cowardice..." muttered Zhukat, disappointed in his enemy. What they neglected to inform him was that The Vascilian League of Mars and The Principality of Roania had struck a full military alliance.

The Founder could be seen from the balcony of his palace, his first appearance before the people in almost 100 years, surely the founder was great. He didn't seem to be a year over 40. "My disciples! celebrate today! for we have brought liberation to the peoples of New Roan!" the founder retreated back inside not to be seen again for another 40 years.

Imperator Kinezki recieved another transmission from High Command, informing him of victory, he was also informed of an alliance between the two nations "Together we will stand victorious as brothers!" read the communique` he knew that he would be called upon in the future to do things he would never imagine.

Im going to make a puppet nation to represent the new State of Roan...it wont be used for any purpose other than to be a place to attack if it comes down to it.

The commander of the military forces entered New Roan with trepidation. A sound came behind him. "Hello."

"Who... who are you?"

"I am but an image. The Roanians have left Mars for another world. Oh, some of us are on Phobos, but we no longer care what goes on down here, provided we are able to make some money out of it. What you really want is inside Storage rooms alpha to beta. Password is Nanook."

OOC: Why not get Roania to give you the PWD to New Roan?

Because New Roan transplanted to another world. That's the beauty of Arcospheres.

OOC: Meh. Works for me I suppose. I'll get around to altering the map in the morning.

"Zhukat! you will keep away from those facilities, we shall await the arrival of the state forces. Your troops are to pull out of the area when they arrive." explained Commissar Felps. Zhukat, confused as to the situation reluctantly agreed with the political officer. "Nanook?" he thought "what is in those sheds?" mumbled the Overlord.

State troops commanded by Imperator Xavier rolled into the facility, they had seen Zhukats men earlier. Unkempt savages all of them, but important in their own way. Xavier met up with Felps on the way, he had told him the situation, a grouping of Roanian supply sheds...there was a password for them but he wouldn't need it. Orders were destroy all Colonial presence, he was going to burn those sheds to the ground.

Confused, Look posting at the weekend is hard for me at the moment, I had no idea this went down or what went down I will need people to explain this all to me. For instance Vascillia and Roania please TG me certain details. For example Vascillia League before you rush in to claim the New Roan territory please note webgates don't move just because the colonists do. Therefore I have several Webgates there, and soldiers that I never said moved.

Roania tell me what you think is going on, both of you please contact the third Party in this, a TG would have been nice anyway, I found this event by complete Chance, if I had been online at the weekend I may have missed it yet it would have ment war for me.

Above Mars a hyperspace gate opens and three small ships emerge, the first (http://www.coreline.net/edina/4.jpg), eligent and graceful it looks like a flying sail boat, the other two, though of a similar design, are bulkier and scans indocate are pritty much hollow, transport ships,

Colonel Nommo had been informed of the presence of an odd structure that seemed almost impervious to damage, his men had used up all the high explosives trying to destroy it but nothing would work. Nommo walked to the lip of the crater and gazed down on the structure, it seemed to be a gate of sorts but it lead no where. "If you cant destroy it...bury it, just make sure its out of sight" that had been the standard order all across New Roan. These things have been popping up everywhere.

Its strange though...that there was absolutley no combat at all in New Roan. He was told that it was crawling with Roanians and possible Tor Yvresse soldiers, pitiful Xenos scum, they must have known they were coming.

"While we are supportive of removing the inhabitants of Phobos, so as to make moving the moon out of the way easier, this isn't exactly the course of action we had in mind. Any aggression against them in space will be met with Thor's Hammer. Thank you, that is all."

If you so much as touch Pinnacle Base, I fire a superlaser at your area on Mars.

Pinnacle Base is now completely neutral in all aspects of Mars.

It is a base for the Roanian Galactic Fleet. And a store where all of Roania's allies may purchase weapons and medicine.
