Viera Revolution
~~-nsn report-~~
Just recently has the nation of Viera declared its intentions toward Gurian. A faction of dissasisfied Vierans, including Lord Kilov himself, have started this revolution. All ofTeryl (http://www.geocities.com/pokigi2000/Teryl.bmp) has been affected by this revolt toward the Gurian dictatorship, which has done nothing but benevolently rule Viera. All the other nations in Teryl have followed suit and pledged allegiance to Gurian. Sources say the Vierans have a history of restlessness, but this revolt is "badly timed... already lost... and ultimately stupid" says analyst Burt Tell. When we tried to contact the faction, we received a "no comment".

The Gurian Head of Defense was in charge of this situation. A small task force consisting of three troop transports, five cruisers, five destroyers, three submarines, and a single aircraft carrier approached Viera. The troop transports were loaded with highly armed Gurian soldiers, tanks, artillery, and APCs. A small group of supply ships guarded by several frigates ensured timely arrival of supplies from Gurian. Viera would remain a Gurian colony.
Kilov was relieved. His agents had brought the evacuation fleet into orbit above Teryl. They had brought several shuttles down to the surface at both Reyn and Terre. The vieri were already being gathered. The vieri military were being brought back even as he prepared the resistance plans. He also had his technicians re-fitting the new
V-Armors with new concentrated weapons. He sent the message out for storage. Kilov frowned. There was no time to develop a true space program. They had to buy it from others. He was amazed at how his men had come up with this; it couldn't have been all just now. Great. He had men who were buying ships behind his back. They didn't even tell the public about a space program until a few months ago. He did not doubt his people, though. They were resourceful, whenever they weren't trying to kill each other.

You should put (CLOSED RP) in the title, then.
Lord Julian Kilov and Queen Petra hustled into the Manta along with the vieri bodyguards. In the other 2 dropships, fleet personnel were boarding. Manta launches in groups of three, just like this one, were going to take place at different intervals at different launch areas near the boarder. To any casual glance from a sattellite, it would be a routine shuttle flight to a space station, nothing more. All the personnel were transported on civilian trains, and were, in pairs, given a stop only to be redirected several times. Then, randomly, they were given orders to leave planetside. It was expensive, but safer for them not to know. The launches would be over a time span of a month, until the fleet could be crewed. Then they would wait for (if it came to it) the exodus. In one efficient operation, the Poseidons would swoop down, pick up the millions of vieri along with some Mantas. The remaining mantas would be picking up some of the defense. The rearguard would be left behind. Kilov shuddered at the thought but turned his attention to one of the dropships. Admiral Lin was struggling against the grip of his own soldiers. Three were on the ground, knocked out. Julian smiled. Lin obviously disapproved of his plan. But in order for his men to make it out alive, he would have to leave now.

Bennet listened to his comm officer. Commander Chen and the 4th Battalion were having a rough time with the loyalists. Good. So were they. One destroyer and a cruiser had been taken by the loyalists and the sub had managed to disable one with a low-impact kinetic torp. The other, the destroyer, was after the Pegasus, the two destroyers, and the missle frigate. Saving the fleet did not matter much anymore. With Viera racing through space development, all they needed was lives.
They were to extract the 4th, then meet with the sub at Reyn. The loyalist ship had to be neutralized, if nessesary. All the firepower was needed in Teryl.

OOC: No offense intended but all those battleships are for nations that are SPACE ROLEPLAYING. You are limited to strictly modern if you want to RP with me...
