Requesting Foreign Training Space

06-10-2003, 17:13
A decree passed a while ago stated that official training of military forces would begin in the Nomadic Peoples (VERY soon to be Republic) of Amphib Guinea. After buying sufficient weaponry only a few (NS) weeks ago, Day One of AG Force Training began.
Day One was a horrid failure. The lecture on the safe use of an assault rifle had barely finished when a mob of angry citizens broke in and demanded to cease the training procedures. While the country's people only support the forming of a sufficient military precence, they feel disturbed by nearby boot camps. Also, the growing population is already straining to survive in our cramped land, and valuable land usable as living space being used as training grounds upsets the locals.
The only plausible solution the government can figure out is to send troops to train in foreign, more spacious lands. Therefore Amphib Guinea has decided to offer allegiance to a country in exchange for 4 months of military training on that country's grounds. We promise not to direct our forces towards your country during their stay in your lands. The group will be a 1000 trainees armed with AK-47 rifles, and later a 100 officer trainees with Beretta pistols. Also, if possible, after 4 months, another group of 1000 trainees with AN-94 rifles will also be sent for 4 months military service. We have little to repay for this service, but we feel allegiance is one of the greatest possible ways to repay you.

In other AG news, the government is preparing to switch to Republic. With 48% of the population having settled down, the country is becoming less like nomadic peoples, and more like a real country. Once the amount reacges 50%, transaction to Republic will begin in Amphib Guinea.

I have mountains. Lots of mountains.
Langham

We have wastelands, plains, forests, and mountains if you need them.

Freedom Country and Langham, we thank you both for your offers. The Government has debated over which country to send our trainees to, and after a load of disagreeing and agreeing, we've decided to make a compromise. The trainees with AK's and officer trainees will be moved to Langham's grounds, while the AN-trainees will be sent to Freedom Country. We hope this suits both of you. We promise not to attempt invasions and will stay in your country only as long as needed. We hope you understand that with the turbulent situation of limited space in our country, these kinds of large-scale operations are hard to execute on Amphib Guinean grounds.

If necessary, we offer the AJWC (Agnostican Jungle Warfare Center), ADWC (Agnostican Desert Warfare Center) and AUWC (Agnostican Urban Warfare Center) to you for training. These are all isolated training centers designed solely for small to huge training exercises. They are all constantly in use, however for the numbers you are proposing, sectioning of portions of the ranges will not be a problem. If you so desire, you may also be incorporated into the training already underway.

AJWC - 600 square miles of Agnostican jungle along the southeastern seaboard, providing rivers, mountains, beaches, marshes, islands, villages, towns, military outposts, POW camps and all-around unpleasantness. This center is dedicated to Arturo Gordon for his 34-yr POW imprisonment in the jungles of Anyghetto, a nation now no longer in existence. Aircraft, aquatic vessels and land vehicles are all available with prior planning and co-ordination. Participants are supplied with weapons modification kits to use simmunitions (paintballs fired from normal weapons with similar profiles of the actual rounds) or with laser attachments similar to the US MILES system.

ADWC - 2500 square miles of dunes, hard-packed sand, mountains, hills and valleys located in the western region of Agnosticium. Encompassing the training cities of Eridannea and Olumat, fourteen training towns, five military bases, seventeen airfields and two hundred live-fire ranges, the ADWC is an excellent training environment for troops needing desert training. The dunes and sand plains offer realistic open areas for tank battles, convoy training and movment as well as enabling the wind to produce occasional sandstorms to enhance the training.

AUWC - Formerly the city of Porumeia it is 100 square miles of sprawling urban layout, to include a metropolis and surrounding subburbs. Following a mysterious blast from the local nuclear power plant that radiated a neutron wave, eliminating all inhabitants fourteen years ago, the power plant was dismantled and the city seized by the government. After families of the victims claimed personal belongings from the intact city, power was routed in from other facilities and the city kep "on." 80,000 civilian contractors work the city during training rotations, occupying the buildings and carrying on as a normal city. The major stores are kept open and run as normal businesses. 5,000 other personnel work as conspirators, rebel factions, gangs and less-desireable elements of society to provide the most realistic urban training setting possible.

We thank you for your offer, but at the time are our current troops are already assigned to other countries. However, once our first dispatchment of trainees has finished their training, we might look into sending them over for further training in inhospitable environments in your land (or, if we ever start planning our own group of Spec Ops (unlikely at the moment), your training spaces would be perfect for them). We will telegram you later once we begin to seriously form an army (at the moment we're only forming a military force for defence purposes), assuming that there will be space left in your training spaces then. The numbers of trainees will be larger then, but I'm sure we can find a way of fitting them in, or if that isn't possible, then just send a portion of the trainees to your spaces.

We also have many air centres, as since our country is mountainous, air is the best way to go.

Other than mountains, air and urban. We haev an excellent urban warfare centre, based around a mock city (the failed city of Balerno)

Offer accepted, please take up our offer of Urban, as our Commando's train here.
