BREAKING NEWS
WNN, LENINGRAD
In its new program to disarm all weapons and take apart the last parts of it's military in strides towards Pure Communism, Leninist Workers has hit a roadblock which could mean its demise. A nuclear weapon was being dismantled in Leningrad, unwisely, and apparently the weapon was believed most likely harmless by this point, however, this became a clear mistake. The weapon detonated, leveling the capital and miles of suburbs around it. Millions are believed dead, and the state of the Soviet Worker's Councils unknown. The heads of outer Soviet districts further from the capital have issued a State of Emergency, and are asking for any international help available.

*A broadcast by Soviet Worker's Council #11581 is made*
"We need food, supplies, water, shelter, the likes. We have not entered the affected areas for fear of radiation. We expect millions to be dead, and have little military forces to maintain order. We fear they might take advantage of this situation, we *cut off*.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE
WNN, LENINGRAD
The nuclear weapon detonated inside Leningrad seems to have been the result of traitors affiliated with the "Church of Ilshenar Democracy Now" group, which is the remnant of the Church of Ilshenar, before it was disbanded by the communist separatists, and the nations of Leninist Workers and Ilshenar went their seperate ways. "We believe that the extremists, who were posing as workers moving the weapon to an isolated zone, detonated it to basically destroy the center of our government, and they may now be trying to restore the old bureaucracy" stated a Soviet Council spokesman. "The bomb may have been set off as well as a tribute to the Holiday 'Gafsa Seuporri' which is celebrated every four years by the Church of Ilshenar, as the holiest day of the religion, which worships the teachings of the teacher Letzoki, who was supposed to rise in the year 1988, but never did, hence the revolution took place to purge the 'relgious liars'." Nearby English teachers pelted the spokesman with memos and documents upon hearing his run-on sentence.

We second Johnistan's comment.

Y'know, why couldn't you have just moved the nuke to an unpopulated area of the countryside before dismantling it? I mean, sure you thought it was safe, but wouldn't you want to take that extra precaution?
