Today the Kahtanian government announced that it will begin development and deployment of ICBMs and SLBMs to strengthen the deterent force by at least 600. 500 ICBM's are to be deployed to land bases, 150 to be deployed to the 15 Ohio Class missile subs. There will also be an unknown number of warheads built, which can be placed in a Tomahawk cruise missile. Also, about 1,000 Tactical Nuclear weapons will be built for use in torpedoes, depth charges, Air to Air Missiles, Atrillery and Anti-Ship Missiles.
The production costs are about $100 Million each for the ICBM's, $50 Million each for the SLBM's and $25 Million each for the Tomahawks.
The Kahtanian government is also according to some sources beginning a chemical weapons program to build VX and other new weapons. The government has maintained that it will not use them as a first strike weapon and will only use them when provoked or in retalliation. They also reportedly have ebola, anthrax, and smallpox for testing purposes.
The ballisitc missile defense is being developed and will be capable of intercepting up to 1,500 ICBM's and SLBM's.

The government is also beginning the development of a National Air Defense which can protect against cruise missiles, aircraft, and bombers. The entire country will be covered by X-Band Radar with operators standing by at the controls of PAC-3's, and Air Force Aircraft. Lasers will also defend the skies at airports where a missile could be confused and hit a civillian jet.
