Need Assault Rifles

04-10-2003, 18:42
An official decree has been passed out in the Nomadic Peoples (soon to be Republic) of Amphib Guinea that adequate training of it's armies will officially begin. However, since Amphib Guinea has no truly effective weaponry at the moment to use in training, the government once again looks towards the other nations that manufacture weaponry.
At the time, we are only training a 1000 men to test different training methods, so we wish to purchase 1000-2000 assault rifles, preferrably cheap. You all must realize that this will be required as our nation grows in size and begins to be a ripe apple for imperialists.

AN-94 assault rifle

The weapon is of lightweight construction with extensive use of polymers in the stock and receiver. The action used is very innovative: although it is a gas operated action with rotary bolt, the entire mechanism can move inside of the reciever. Coupled with a pulley and cable, the loading cycle of the rifle can be speeded up, so that when the weapon is fired in fully automatic (or in its two shot burst setting) the first two shots are fired at a incredible rate of 1800 rounds per minute! This means that the bullets have left the barrel before recoil makes the gun move off its target, which enhances the accuracy considerably. After the first two shots have been fired, the gun continues to fire at a rate of 600 rounds per minute, like a normal automatic rifle. If the trigger is released and pulled again, the first two shots will again be at the high rate of fire. Off course a single shot setting is also provided.

The magazines AN 94 are the magazines for the AK-74, and are usually of the thirty round red plastic variety.

Weight: 8.48 lbs (3.85 kg) empty.
Caliber: 5.45 x 39 mm.

Mode of Fire: Semi Automatic / Fully automatic .

Amphib Guinea thanks for the offer, but we feel we must decline. We are currently still experimenting on ways of training our forces, and we won't begin true army building until we've decided on the best training method. However, if we ever require rocket launchers, we'll look towards you first.

The design of the new Standard Combat rifle and its variants are derivatives of the Tavor Assault Rifle (manufactured by Israel) and has proven extremely effective since it was first introduced several months ago.

The Weapon

The weapon is a gas operated, selective fire, magazine fed assault rifle of bullpup configuration. It is available in several other configurations, which differ in the barrel lengths and accessories. The basic configuration is the SCR-21 assault rifle with the 460mm barrel. Next are the compact assault rifle, called CSCR-21, with the barrel 380 mm long, and the micro assault rifle (SCC-21) ,with a barrel of only 250 mm.
SCR-21 utilizes a long piston stroke, rotating bolt action, with the gas piston rigidly attached to the bolt carrier. The gas cylinder is located above the barrel and is completely enclosed by the gun housing. The rotating bolt is similar to one found in the M16 rifle and has seven lugs. The ejection ports are made on both sides of the weapon, and the right or the left side ejection can be selected by installing the bolt with the ejector mounted on the right or on the left, respectively (for either left-hand or right-hand firers). The bolt carrier rides on the single guide rod, with the return spring unit located above it, behind and inside the hollow gas piston rod. The charging handle is located at the front left side of the gun and does not reciprocate when gun is fired. The charging handle slots are cut on the both sides of the gun housing, so it can be installed on either side of the weapon, as required. The trigger unit is more or less conventional, with the ambidextrous fire mode selector / safety switch located above the pistol grip.
The SCR-21 has no separate receiver. Instead, all parts are mounted within the high impact-resistant housing, reinforced with steel inserts where appropriate. The access to all the internal parts is controlled by a hinged plate, which can be swung down for internal inspection and disassembly.
SCR-21 has no open sights. It is fitted with the standard Pi accessory rail on the top of the gun. The Standard sighting equipment for the SCR-21 series rifles (except for the SSCR-21 sniper rifle)a complicated and expensive optical reflex-type sight with the built-in laser pointer. For the night time operations the sight can be complemented with a compact night vision device.

United Elias: We thank you for your offer and will purchase 500 SCR-21 rifles for 475 thousand dollars.
*wires money*

We thank all who donated/sold rifles for the Amphib Guinean troops. However, we must inform that we have sufficient amounts of weaponry now, and training will commence soon, so we will no longer purchase assault rifles... for the time being. However, when we begin to actually form a formidable force, we will lift the offer up, and possibly start buying other forms of gear too. Thank you once more.
