The Merkury-M class patrol/spec ops boat
As regards Mercury-M's performance characteristics, in its class it surpasses the world's best boats. Its high speed and efficiency are attributable to the use of an air cavity that reduces friction drag by almost 30% and draws not more than 3% of the power generated by the main propulsion plant.
With few exceptions, these boats are outfitted with domestically produced equipment, due to which their construction and maintenance costs are relatively low. However, upon customer's request, foreign-made equipment can be installed: engines manufactured by the MTU and Deutz firms, electronic equipment produced by Furuno, etc.
The baseline platform can be developed into various boat modifications outfitted with various weapons suites.
