Notes- The F-98 Maelstrom, while a very sucsessful fighter, was in need of replacement. The F-109 Tempest provided the best in manuverability, speed, and weapons. With 4 separate rotating canards, and vernier thrusters, the Tempest is a very agile fighter, and combined with the 30mm Rail Gatling Gun, is a force to be feared in dogfighting. With a very high speed, and advanced missile systems, the Tempest is an excellent interceptor. The vernier thrusters and thrust vectoring give it the ability to perform NVTOL (Can take off at 20 Degree angle). Already they are availible for export.

Are these just in atmosphere or are they also space fighters?

I'll take 120 of them...

A total of 660 million Nus, or about $2.64 billion, have been wired.

How does "pulse detonation" work?

All orders are confirmed and shipping.
Lapse-They are atmospheric, but can actually reach space (But they wouldn't work well.)
AE-Pulse Detonation is Detonating Fuel instead of Deflagarating it. Much more efficient, and faster.

Future tech, ya.

Yes, yes it is. Gotta problem with that, punk?

Yes.

Still looks nice.

*Itches not to make pic of wings forward swung on a F-18*

Well, I'm a future tech nation, so why shouldn't I have future tech planes? And atleast it ain't ubertech (IE space fighter, plasma weapons, hyperspace and all that cr@p).

Yes, it does look nice. And performs nice. (Forward swept wings, canards, thrust vectoring and verniers makes a very manuverable aircraft.)

With better performance, unparalleled agility, and multirole paramters, the F-109 makes a great aircraft.

Hmm. Well the F-98s held up brilliantly in combat.

Any reduction for buying them without engines? Or Railguns? (I'm more modern tech, so don't need pulse-detonation engines, i can provide my own more modern tech engines)

If so, i'll be looking for somewhere in the region of 96.

Really? Can I get a link? (I like to see things that happen to my products to look for improvement oppurtunities.)

Anyway, we'll give you the convtl. 30mm and engine variants of the F-109 will reduce it to 19 mill, note speed will be reduced to Mach 2.5.

Any of the FPC-Attican war threads (I can't be bothered to look for them, they were all made by FPC and mention seperation)

In view of the reduction, we will send funds for 96 airframes.

OOC: NE, I would like to buy one of these for testing purposes. If allowed, I want to add He3 (slush) injectors and test the trans-atmospheric capabilities. We can work something out on our forums

That's a very interesting idea... We are shipping.
Maybe you could help me with the XSF-109 (Prototype TransAtmpospheric Fighter.)
