Description
The Gladero tank is designed to take on any other armored vehicle in the world. It accomplishes this by having a powerful main gun, advanced armor, and all the latest technology.The turret on this tank is unmanned with only the autoloader and ammunition being kept inside. The rounds are kept in five rows of 10 and are loaded horizontally. This allows for a quick, reliable, and simple feed into the barrel. In the event of turret destruction, the crew can replace turret in less then two hours. Just below the turret is the crew compartment which contains the driver, gunner, and commander. The driver and gunner are seated next to each other with the commander just behind them. The crew is separated from all flammable and explosive material by armored bulkheads are blowout panels. The engine is placed in front of the tank, this allows for a more spacious crew compartment and armor in the rear of the tank. The engine allows forms a "shield" for the crew, as any penetration through the frontal armor would be stopped by the engine. One feature of the Gladero is the many exits, the main hatch located on top of the hull, the rear exit, and the bottom exit. The bottom exit is especially usefull in the case of rollover or sinking. The Gladero tank is very small and allows more armor to be added because of less tank to armor. The Gladero is fully capable of deep fording and negotiating gradients of 60%.

Self Protection
The Gladero is protected by the latest innovation in armor technology, electric armor. Electric armor provides maximum protection against ATGMs and HEAT rounds. Outside the main passive armor is a layer of thin steel plates surrounded by non-conductive ceramic. When a HEAT or ATGM hits the electric armor, a large electric charge is applied to the plates and the HEAT or ATGM jet. The electric charge disrupts the jet and makes it lose almost all of it's penetrating power. The electric power is provided by the powerful hydrogen engine and has shown to be 90% effective agaisnt HEAT and ATGMs. This armor also makes long rods lose 3-5% of their power as well.
Because of this resistance to HEAT and ATGMs, thick and heavy Chobham armor is no longer necessary. This allows for the passive armor to be more suited to long rod penetrators. The main passive armor of the Gladero is 10 inches of ceramics, Depleted Uranium, high quality steel, and titanium which are layered to provide maximum protection from KE rounds. This armor is very similar to the armor on the Leopard 2A6 only much thicker.
Also protecting the Gladero is the classic Kaktus-10 ERA. This ERA is designed to defeat rapidly moving long rods by inducing large amounts of penetrator yaw. This ERA has been tested against 135mm rounds and has shown to reduce their power by 30%.
The APS on the Gladero is the Arena-5 defensive system. This uses the tank's integeral radar to track incomning ATGMs and destroy them using grenades. 15 grenades are carried in a rotating rack. The system can engage an ATGM coming in from any angle. The system has been shown to be 90% accurate and effective. Also equipped are the Shtora-4 laser jamming system.

Weapons Systems
The main gun on the Gladero is a 120mm hyper-velocity electrothermal rifled gun. The gun is made of electro slag refined titanium and can fire APFSDS, HEAT, or air bursting HE-FRAG for use against infantry and buildings. The muzzle velocity on a APFSDS round is higher then normal cannons and can achive velocities of 3500m/sec. This cannon can pentrate Abrams and Merkava frotal armor at 5km. The rate of fire on a tank is one shot per every five seconds. Turret swing time from front to back is 2 seconds. The cannon is kept within a heavy thermal sleeve and fume extractor to reduce barrel wear. The electrothermal velocity effect can be turned off for HEAT and HE-FRAG rounds to save energy. Ammo storage is 50 rounds or 30 missiles. The cannon has a cooling system which sprays the barrel with liquid nitrogen to cool it down on the command of the commander.
The cannon can also fire the Common Modular System. The CMM system consists of different guidance packages, warheads, and motors all which can be configured to specific mission. Configuring a warhead is very simple and can be done by a trained person in less then 10 minutes.

Also mounted next to the cannon is a 25mm OSCW grenade launcher. This weapon can lob air bursting grenades out to 2,000m with accuracy. The ammo capacity is 250 rounds. Also mounted is 7.62mm machine gun.

Fire Control and Observation
The Gladero uses the EYES observation system. The EYES system uses five camera placed around around the tank that provide a 360 degree view of the surrounding area. Each camera has thermal imaging and a x15 zoom which provides incredible situational awareness at all times.
The JoHn fire control system takes in all necessary factors and adjusts aim on the fly. The Gladero is fully capable of engaging targets on the move which are moving at ranges in excess of 5km with pinpoint accuracy.
Also equipped are is the J-RAY communication system. The J-RAY system can track the location of every other system on the tank's on board GPS and map using it and allows instaneous IVIS or radio communication. The tank also has a intergral radar ground scan radar.

Propulsion
The Gladero is the extremely powerful 2250 horsepower hydrogen turbine. This engine gives enough power to keep the tank moving for 600km, keep the gun firing for 500 shots, and power all onboard systems during this run. The Gladero's engine also puts out much less heat then coventional engines. This gives off only 30% of the heat of the most invisible diesel engine.

Cost is about 9 million USD.
