Tadjik State Television News

Several men, including 7 government soldiers, wer killed during a shootout in the mountains in the north.

The gunfight occurred when members of the Basmachi movement found a group of PF(Peoples Front) supporters in their village looking for support for the communist cause, the Basmachi appearantly took their weapons, which they keep at home, and opened fire upon them.
The PF supporters carried some weapons themselves and returned fire.

When an army unit tried to intervene, they became a target themselves and 7 soldiers died after getting hit, 5 others wounded, the PF members retreated from the village after losing 9 comrades. The number of Basmachi killed is unknown.

Islam-fundamentalists al over the country protested against what they call "aggressive communist provocators". The president urged both parties to resort to a more peaceful solution.

Mr Budimir Loncar, leader of the People's Front speaks to his followers on the radio:

"Fellow marxists, today 9 comrades died when they tried to bring civilisation to poor people, they wer shot by a gang of criminals who prefer to threat those that dont 'believe' as second rank citizens."
"After their death other 'believers' attacked us again by demonstrating against us, against US, the victims."
"And what did our government do? They ask for peaceful solutions because the army cannot handle those criminals... comrades, we must react."
"Therefore i ask you all to take up arms and support us in our struggle to bring back civilisation."

These types of revolutions never end well.

If I can get some basic information (how far from coast? how large of a country?), I will hopefully be of some assistance.

"Today president Rahmonov gave the order to mobilize the army"
"We see this a necessary move to bring back order to the country"
"We ask the revolutionaries to turn in their weapons and return to their homes"
"Anyone who refuses to comply will be arrested, or shot if they choose to resist."
"Furthermore we would like to ask neighbour countries to cease their assistance to these revolutionaries."

During the night of 2 to 3 Octobre, in the forest near Khujand, an army brigade prepared itself for an assault on the city, the brigade was under command of Col Sadirov

Col Sadirov: "If everyone is ready, you can give the signal"
Major Govorov: "Yes sir, are you sure about this assault? There might be other better targets later."
Col Sadirov: "No, tonight we will give them the surprise of their live, give the signal."

As the assault signal was given, 3600 infantrymen and 86 vehicles moved towards the city and the compound, at the distance of 500 yards the group split up, the 1st regiment took the military compound as target while the 2nd regiment with most vehicles moved into the outer edges of the city.
a T-82 of the 2nd rgt opened fire upon a local policestation, the shot and impact could be heard troughout the whole city. immediatly the other vehicles fired upon every government building or person they could find.
The unit stationed in the base was alerted by the shooting in Khujand city centrum and a number of soldiers hurried to their vehicles, but they never got away from the base.
The soldiers of the 1st Rgt opened fire upon the men and vehicles with RPGs when they tried to leave the compound. With the gate wide open and panick alover the place the attackers took their chance and infiltrated inside the base, killing every enemy soldier they encountered.
Al 1260 men from the unit died, their weapons al removed and loaded in the vehicles captured intact, the number of attackers remained unknown as they took the bodies of their fallen comrades with them.

The government is outraged by this surprise attack, especially because the attackers are (assuming the witnesses in the city did not lie) military themselves. the position and identity of the attackers remains unknown.

During the early morning of 4 Octobre the First Brigade, sent out by the Tadjik General staff went out looking for the renegade unit that previously attacked an Army compound in Khujand
Everything was calm until a recon unit found fresh tracks of a tank, the army was the only party that deployed tracked vehicles and no armyunits wer reported passing there.
The Brigade followed the tracks that lead the to a small village East of Chkalov, and there they found the enemy unit

http://www.math.hr/links/war/storm/o6.jpg
Men of the First brigade looking for tracks in the high grass
"General" yelled a sargeant "General Mirzoyev, we found them"
"Where Sargeant, show me" replied the General, the sargeant, the general and several other officers ran over the recon unit that discoverd the tracks.
Gen Mirzoyev took out his binoculars and examined the town "Let me see, some of trucks are unmarked except for that one at the town hall"
"What do you make of it Captain?"
The Captain to looked trough his binoculars: "Looks like the 11th, sir, under command of Colonel Rezvon Sadirov, he unit is one of the few that we could not reach. And know we know why"
The General put his binocs away and turned to the captain "Prepare the men, Captain, we're to pay them a visit"
The Captain answerred "Yes General" and returned to the brigade.

It took only minutes to get everyone ready, most men wanted a revenge for the death of their comrades
At 8.37 the 4200 men of the First brigade and its 120 vehicles assaulted the village, the surprise among the defenders was complete.
Mirzoyez gave the order to work as a scissor and keep the enemy disorganized for as long as they could.
A tactic that worked well, the brigades 2 battalions moved around the town while 2 regiments entered the town from the West.
Some of the 11th brigades men ran for their vehicles and fled the scene while others tried to resist.
Unfortunatly they stood no chance as they wer encircled by the time they finally regrouped in and around the town hall.
A short fight, in which Mirzoyez used his tanks as artillery (11th brigade had only 2 tanks left) and his men slowly moved on while the enemy wasted his ammo, gave him the final victory.
At 8.45, 8 minutes atfer the 1th engaged the enemy, Major Baimatov and his remaining 533 men surrendered to the Government troops.
The First brigade lost 87 men and 108 wounded against 860 dead, 738 wounded and 533 taken prisoner.
Sadirov had escaped together with atleast 1400 men but their morale would be down to zero by now. The threat remained however and the First brigade continued looking for revolutionaries and deserters.

General Saladin

General Samblevski explains

Strangely enough this is not a normal civil war, there are 3 sides in the conflict.
first are the Islam fundamentalists fighting both the government and the communists, there are an alliance of clans led by the Basmachi, an extremely agressive clan (the word Basmachi comes from the Turkmen word Baskinji wich literally means "attacker")

second we have the People's Front, communists who try to create a communist state, i cant give much information because there is not much info. They have many supporters, among the public aswell as within army ranks (some officers fear democracy will put them out of a job). They fight both the government aswell as the Islamists

And third but most imported there is the government, we still have most of the army under our control and enjoy support from many civilians, more than the communists.

I hope this helps you understand the situation, i apologise if my gov't made things to complicated or simply forgot to mention stuff

We are democrats, muslims have as much rights as catholics or atheists do.
We even get support from local imams and aksakals.

Forces Mobilized. Your location due south of us is unnerving. Your bombing attacks have almost hit us. We have fighters in the air 24 hours a day. If you come close to Fergana Valley again, we will attack.

Fergana mobilizes its forces.

This is a warning.

The Armed Republic of Syr Darya has concerns with the current issue. We demand that Tadjikistan honour our indepencence.

Twice Tadjik armed forces crossed into our territory, Accidently of course. we had to wale them back to your territory. Three times our Air Force was on alert and escorted your bombers from our territory.

Do not let this happen again.
05-10-2003, 16:30
It would seem some of our members have some situations with Tajikistan. However, the Far East SSR's official position is a general support for peace. Our members are of course, free to follow matters as they might see to their national interest. The Council would ask those powers not to send combat forces to Tajikistan. We ask members to protest to the highest diplomatic level any disruptions of national borders.

Pamiristan can send a diplomat to assist in peace talks between the three factions in Tajikistan.
05-10-2003, 16:51
We'll be sending an Expeditionary Force to fight the communists. You can deal with the Islam on your own. Try not to cause a war of religion, okay.

1st Tadjikistan Expeditionary Force = Lt. General Dyne

555th Infantry Division
67th Infantry Division
11th Mech Infantry Division
73rd Mech Infantry Division
1st Armored Company
12th Armored Company
84th Armored Company
3rd Artillery Battalion
4th Artillery Battalion
7th Army Engineer Battalion

We will set up a firebase, and wait for further intel. We'll see if you can resolve this matter through peace before we make our move.

Maybe one or more bombers did go over the border by accident. But the Army and Government of Tadjikistan deny that any bombing runs wer initiated upon targets in your countries.
The only possibility is that these attacks are the work of the rebels.

I would also like to thank Vyse king of Rogues for supporting us militarily, we assure you that a war of religion is not our goal.
Intel indicates that some communist rebels are near Konibodom.

Any diplomats are welcome to try and solve the matter peacefully.

General Saladin

Minister of Interior Sharipov speaks:
We cannot agree to these terms, reducing our forces with 50% means opening our borders for criminals, psycho-dictators and other scum. It would allow the other parties to take the rest of the country since they have no regular forces like we do.

We cannot allow these extremists to gain independence, semi autonomy? maybe. Independence? never. For the simple reason that they are to extremist to govern and are now given tthe opportunity to buy weapons freeley and threaten the rest of Tadjikistan.

The peacenegotiators seem to forget what happen a few days ago in Khujand, we want Sadirov handed over to us.

Withdrawal of foreign troops would mean withdrawal of Vollmerian forces, another request that we cannot and will not agree to, the Vollmerian helped build this country and stationed those troops to defend us, the Tadjik army is to small to fight a big war (except the airforce wich is quite well equiped).

And last but not least, Tadjikistan does not believe in the UN, so we do not allow troops on our country under the UN flag.

Your first offer is only helping the rebels and weakens the Tadjik state.

5 T-55s and 2,000 peacekeepers today moved into the front line of the communist sector and are stationed at one of the border cities to enforce the neutrality of this section.

2. You recognise our government as a lawful one.

3. You leave our people in peace to do as they wish.
07-10-2003, 13:26

' This was just first offer. We respect independence of your nation. We now issue second offer. This is not final offer.'

After 3 hours the secretaries and the two peace envoys come back into room. A sheet of paper is handed to the three representatives.

Second Proposal.

1. Communist forces shall with-draw from 30% of the nation.

2. Two new provances to be formed. One for Islamic Power One for Communist. Both to have full autonomy.

3. United Nations peace keepers to be stationed on borders of these new provances and on border with Fergana.

1 Communist forces are to be disarmed, Col. Sadirov rebelled against us and stole weapons from the 27th battalion that got butchered at Khujand, we demand each and every rifle to be returned to its rightful owners, rightful owners being the Government.

2 Semi autononmy can be discussed, full autonomy is out of the question. But i think i told you before.

3 If you look at our nation you will see that a UN symbol is missing, because we do not believe in the UN. We will not allow UN troops on our soil.

4 This is good, repayments for the dead soldiers and return of the weapons, we also want Sadirov handed over to us, he must be put to justice for treason.

5 We can do that, Vollmeria is the first country on that list.

I think our demands are clear now, we want Tadjikistan to be restored to its old (good and peaceful) form.

King Qudus Khan gets up and walks upto the table "Is it urgent?" he asks "I'd like to read the newspaper first, i like to know how the media thinks about me"
The officer takes the telegram and reads the headline: "Its from the Tadjik government ... it sais here that it is urgent"

"Well then" the king replies while he goes trough his papers "read it for me"

"Very well mylord" the officer starts reading the telegram
"From the minister of Interior Sharipov, Tadjik Government"
"To: King Qudus khan of the Shinwari"
" Our country is, as you might know, strangled by a civil war between us and 2 fractions fighting for power, recently..." the king looks up to him and sais "STOP, I already knew that, did it ever occur to you that there is news in a newspaper? Just tell me what they want"

"offcourse mylord" The officer reads the telegram and turns to the king
"They request troops to maintain order in the country, they await your answer"

The king takes a seat, scrapes over his chin and asks "Hmmm, they want us to fight their war?"

"no, mylord, we would arrive when the fighting has ceased"

"That can be arranged, tell General Nadir to form an expeditionary peacekeeping force and send a telegram to the Tadjiks to tell them we will help them"

2. Two new provances to be formed. One for Islamic Power One for Communist. Both to have full autonomy.

3. United Nations peace keepers to be stationed on borders of these new provances and on border with Fergana.

4. Communist to pay for damages to Central Government. United Nations can help arrange a payment schedule.

5. Tadjik to suggest a list of foreign nations to assist in peace keeping duties.

Sharipov examines the document, puts it down and answers:

Minister Zimmerman examines the reply. Momentary whispers are exchanged with President Saladin.

The two ministers and their secretaries leave the room in a recess which last 7 hours.

At the end of 7 Hours, the two ministers and their secretaries return.

' We have examined the latest reply. We are, here, using as example, our dealing in the former North and Former South Korea. Both of those nations were not in the UN until 1991. Yet United Nations forces maintained peace on the DMZ.'

Then President Saladin handed the three ministers a sheet of paper.

Third Proposal for Peace.

1. A judicary shall be set up in Bishkek. The judicary shall determine the origional owners of the weapons at issue from Tadjikistan. The Judicary will then settle the issue of ownership, using records from Tadjikistan and from the claims of the origional owners.

2. A buffer zone between Fergana and Tadjikistan shall be created along their southern border. Troops from the Far East SSR shall patrol it. Not United Nations forces.

3. The matter of Autonomy has been contested. Therefore, a statement shall be issued from this body.

'We do not feel peace can be achieved easily unless a greater Autonomy is issued to both COmmunist and Islamic forces. This can be achieved in something less than Full Autonomy

4. Those powers approved by Tadjikistan shall enforce a neutrol Zone between the Communist, Islamic and Government forces. A further Neutral ZOne shall exist between Fergana and Syr Darya and Tadjikistan. Fergana and Syr Darya shall not have military forces with-in 5 miles of the Neutral Zone, Tadjikistan will be permitted to have Troops up to the border of the Neutral Zone.

5. Agreement for payment has been approved by Tadjikistan. The Communist will pay Tadjikistan A$100,000 Australian Dollars for damages.

6. A further Judicary will be created to determine guilt of any official involved in this war.

7. Communist will turn over their leader so he maybe transfered to the Hague in Europe for War Crimes.

Islamist forces had moved closer to city and opened fire at the "invaders" with mortars and light artillery.

Members of the Jadid clan (one of the Muslim clans in the alliance) quickly moved trough the bushes and stopped at only a hundred meters for the base.

Then the artillery-fire ceased and the Jadid-leader gave the signal "Fire, allah-u-akbar", the men opened fire with RPGs and ak47's.

" Syr Darya has aggred to stand down. They agree with Tadjikistan that it was more than likely rebels that shelled their city.

Your question to number 1. To allow a court to decide who owns the weapons, which I myself can only see a favourable outcome for Tadjikistan, would mean that there is a legal backing or, more additional legal backing making the claims beyond reproach, for the claims. It gives them more of a bite.

2. We accept the forces from Vollmeria and so this issue is resolved.

3. We still feel that there should be more Autonomy but not total autonomy for the two groups. maybe 65% autonomy as opposed to our origional request for 100% autonomy.

4 This issue 4 is resolved, forces from Shinwari and CommunistPoland shall be used. Others you invite are also welcomed.

5. Very well. 100,000 Australian Dollars = 234,444,900,000 Somoni's.

6. Very well, Sadirov Must be arrested and taken to the Hague for War Crimes. Allowing the court in the Hague gives legal backing to his conviction and is more pleasing to the rest of the world because it will had been a third party, the World Court that tries Sadirov.

7. See our reply in #6.

One of the M2s took a hit on the left side of the turret, the tank came to a halt, the driver opened his hatch and ran for cover, the rest of the crew was probably dead.

But the 3 other tanks continued their attack.

Just as the sergeant had the driver in his sights, a tap from his comrade reminded him to call for the external support he had asked for.

"Taking armoured attack, requesting that air support!" he blurted, a shell crippling one of the T-55s behind his position and bringing it to a halt.

"Roger that, four skyhawks inbound in 5" Since none of his troops were armed with AT weapons he had told them to dig deep in the buildings and they were doing just that. Meanwhile the second M2 was left smouldered, leaving only two M1s against their four remaining T-55s.

He propped up his rifle just in time to see the driver duck behind a rock. "Blast it!"

---Government statement---

Coldorran Merkava Mk III's are heading to Communist Tadjikistan in a relief effort for the Coldorran/UN troops stationed there. Approx 3 tank platoons are being sent. F-20A Tigerhawks may also be stationed there should fighting escalate.

"Sir, one has disappeared into that factory" the young gunner remarked.

The commander ordered all the T-55s to continue firing at the lead M1. Just as the M1 prepared for a second shot a skyhawk screamed overhead and ripped it apart. About 10 seconds later the remaining T-55s unleashed their volley on the lone M1 and tore it to piece.

Mirwais Hotaki, commander of the leading M1 understood that the enemies superiority could easily take them out if he wasnt careful.
He decided to lure the Coldorran tanks in a trap with the other M1
"Mushki" he yelled trough the radio "pull back and hide in the old factory at the town center, i will first divert their attention and then lure them to the other side of the factory, once there you drive trough the wall and hit them in the rear"

"Good plan" Mushki answerred "lets go for it".

With the troops bunkered in the T-55s pursued the remaining M1s.

"Sir, one has disappeared into that factory" the young gunner remarked.

"Harold, pursue the other one" the commander of the lead tank barked to his driver.

The 4 T-55s approached the remaining tank only to have one of their platoon torn to pieces by the hidden M1.

The commander ordered all the T-55s to continue firing at the lead M1. Just as the M1 prepared for a second shot a skyhawk screamed overhead and ripped it apart. About 10 seconds later the remaining T-55s unleashed their volley on the lone M1 and tore it to piece.

"Get those troops down here! One of those M1s should be salvagable!"

The minister reacts to statements of the Coldorran and Pamiristan:
Destroying a policestation and killing policemen is not part of a fight for freedom, neither is butchering soldiers, killing them without giving them a chance to surrender.
Reparations have to be paid, there will be no discussion about this issue.

And concerning the new proposal:
1 The weapons are to be returned, like i told you they wer obtained trough a bloodbath and must be returned without question.

3 We do not want the country to be ripped apart, there must be control from a central government, otherwise the only law in these regions will represented by clans and criminals.

4 Comiepoland doesnt exist anymore, i was an example to show that the Shinwari once offered asylum to refugees from that country.

6 Like i said, Dushanbe is the place to be, a Tadjik officer must be courtmarshalled by an army-court.

Minister Zimmerman and President Saladin enter the negociation room

"We have agreed with the Tadjik demands. This is the final peace treaty.

1. All weapons to be turned over to Tadjik authorities at once
2. The determination of the Communist and Islamic regions to be determined by the Tadjik Government. The United Nations suggest making them provances or states.
3. Peacekeepers that Tadjik selects shall be the ones to carry out peace keeping duties
4. The United Nations drops its request that the Army officer be taken to the hague. Tadjik authorities can try him in court marshal.

This is our final offer."

The two leave the room.

We accept

Signed,

Khumdin Sharipov

"And Alam? the driver? where is he" Omar replied

"I dont know, but i believe he is still alive"

an older fighter gets up and aproaches Omar "Well then Omar, we will return our lost brother and show our last respects to the martyrs that died today"

The old man had clearly sparked the Mujahid in Omar "then we will go together, warn the others! have them bring the Stingers"

The old man smiled, and shaked Omars hand "We will show them what the fighters of Allah are worth"

Late at night the warriors of the Khudzum clan (yes another one) moved closer upto the town, one of the men on the flank reports a silhouette at the treeline

"who is that?"

"Wait i'll get Omar"

only a minute later the warrior returned with Omar, the man at the treeline went hiding in a bush

"move closer" Omar ordered
They moved toward the bush until one of the men recognized the silhouette
"Its Alam, our lost brother"

The men drew Alams attention, he looked at the fighters, noticed Omar among them, calming him down.

"Finally, you arrived"
"I have had the time to study their defenses, they brought up new tanks and they have helicopters in the neighbourhood"

Omar wasnt surprised "we heared Mirwais say a heli was coming closer and brought the Stingers along, the tanks can be dealt with: its dark and in the town they are limited in their manuevrability"

The clan moved closer to the town and small groups infiltrated the buildings taking up positions with ak47s, RPGs and PKs.
The Stingers stayed behind in the woods, ready to fire upon helicopters but still hidden. Omar was afrais of losing them in the fight.

Once everyone was in position Omar ordered them to open fire at the guards.

"Allah-u-akbar Allah-u-akbar" the men screamed as they fired their MGs and assault rifles

The Vollmerian government voted on the subject "militairy intervention in Tadjikistan"

The Prime minister talks to the media:
We, the government, voted on the request to intervene in Tadjikistan, 11 voted yes, 1 vote no and 1 neutral.
This means that a majority supports the intervention, recent actions of Coldorra and the communists are nothing more but acts of war.
They massacred Tadjik soldiers and policemen, stole their weapons and refused to return them to their rightful owners.
The man behind the 'crime' is one Rezvon Sadirov, this man is being defended by these same communists, Sadirov must be turned over to Tadjik authorities for trial.

We have also appointed General Rodolfo 'The Strangler' Roatta as commander of the 1st Army, we give him the possibility to select the units he wishes to use.
He will receive assistance from General Prior who will lead the 2nd Army.
Already mobilizing are the 1st Airfleet, 3rd Air-Support-fleet and the Iron Guards Helicopter group.
General Heller is kept in reserve and will be moved in whenever deemed nessecery.
We have proposed the National Rebirth party to supply them with weapons in return for their aid, since it is important to have an allie who is familiar with the terrain.

We ask Coldorra to withdraw from Tadjik soil, the communist rebels to lay down their arms and respect the treaty signed and offered by the peacenegotiators.

Also, I'm interestered to know the force composition for casulty purposes.

IC - Bullets richoched off the wall near Moryk's head. He had seen the guards cut down by a wave of fire. Immediately he went to grab the comm unit to radio for support, but his friend had already beaten him to it.

"We're taking on large amounts of troops! Negative! No armour needed at this time!"

Moryk got off a few rounds of his SA80, taking out two of the untrained soldiers. "Are you sure Ryanid?"

"I'm sure, they'd be no use against infantry assets."

"I suppose" came Moryk's reply. Fighting had erupted all around and the well entrenched positions and training of the Coldorran troops showed their worth against the invaders. Under his breath he muttered however "Where are those damn taddies? It's their country we're defending!"

An RPG struck against the wall knocking a usefully positioned hole in it but catching a soldier in the process. He was dead. "They have RPGs?!" Moryk would forever curse his country for not providing them with any AT weapons. But hey, he thought, he could always scavenge some!

Fighting slowed down a little as both sides created a half-block wide no-mans land. In the night fighting was very tough at this distance but the SA80s certainly proved superior to the AKs at range.

Suddenly the sound of rotors rushed overhead...

As for the battle
As the helicopters showed up Omar ordered the Stingers into action, one by one the missiles were fired at the helicopters, the first one took a hit.
If they could make the helicopters retreat, it would enable the men on the ground to deal with the situation.

Omar didnt want to make this a long battle and ordered his men to return to the forest "Move back, set some explosives to hold them for a minute. Once we're in the forest they cant follow us anymore"

One after another the men pulled back, covering eachother.
09-10-2003, 16:04
Moryk saw the first helicopter plummet with a bloom of smoke trailing out of it's tail rotors.

"Jesus, we need to take out those AA troopers" Apparently Ryanid was already ahead of him. His friend already had one in his sights.

"Already head of you!" he commented back as he topped one of them. The helicopters pulled back into the cover of the lower city.

His friend sniping at the stinger troops, he jumped down from the rubble of their 'cover' and headed over to the crash site. The crew had obviously escaped into the cover of the city as the cockpit was empty. He crouched behind the wreck and opened fire on the apparently retreating troops. He saw two drop before he got a tap on the back.

He swung his SA80 around to see a Communist soldier and Ryanid crouched just behind him. They had finally arrived!

"About time! Do you have any armoured support?" He hoped to hell they had.

"Affirmative! 10 T-80s inbound. I don't know where those MBTs you guys ordered are though..."

"That should be enough..." he was cut off by sound of a T-80 exploding. Shrapnel bounced off the shell of the crippled helicopter.

"What the hell!" The T-80s began to reverse...

"Explosives comrade! Those crafty foriegners have planted explosives! Can you not see?"

Moryk couldn't, but he wasn't about to argue. The communists set up a strong line 10 metres behind where the T-10 had exploded and opened fire on the enemy.

From VSA, Vollmeria Security Agency published parts of the Coldorra file after sending a first copy to the UN

Everyone is aware of the civil war going on in Tadjikistan, since recently the communist group went into sea with Coldorra. At first it looks like Coldorra simply wants to help people in need but investigations show other reasons:

The first time they came into the story was on Oct 7 4:44 am when they sent 200 men over the border with Tadjikistan without the permission of UN or Tadjikistan, at the same time this statement is recorded:
Special talks between the Communist faction and Coldorran officials are being carried out. The Coldorrans have proposed that they will help grant the communist state freedom if they pull out of the war and set up a socialist/communist government under the support of the Coldorran nation.
At that point the peacenegotiatons were still going on, the Communist group clearly wanted to get independence, without consulting the negotiators or even asking their opinion
Note that the negotiators were recognized by al three factions
Clear proof that they never wanted negotiatons, just independence

Imediatly thereafter they come up with
A proposal is given to the Tadjikistan on behalf of the Communist faction:

We will cease all hostilities as of now in a case fire under the following conditions:

1. You do not encroach upon our territory (ooc - this is about 90% of the territory they own at this very moment)

2. You recognise our government as a lawful one.

3. You leave our people in peace to do as they wish.

Without consulting the peace negotiators they offer a proposal directly to Tadjikistan
At this point their intentions are already clear

After a while, some fighting with one of the factions a new statement is released
The Coldorran government and Communist Tadjikistan are working together to bring about a suitable arrangement. We have agreed with most of the UN points but the Communist Tadjikistan refuse to pay reparations.
For those who forgot, Colonel Sadirov attacked a city and nearby military compound where he killed 1260 soldiers and several policemen, these men were never given a chance to surrender, they were murdered in cold blood. Tadjikistan demanded the payments for reparations.

After fights with a local clan a new statement was released
Any more incursions into Communist Tadjikistan territory through the UN peace line (which the Communist's and Coldorran's are respecting) and we will make offensive movement
How on Earth can you have a UN peace line if the negotiatons are still going on? notice that they speak of Communist Tadjikistan and not the Communist movement or party.

We go on to the next statement
The Coldorrans and Communist faction agree totally to this, on the provision that the Tadjikistan government makes Communist Tadjikistan a free state as a province of the Coldorran Empire.

As such, the weapons will be returned and the Communist Tadjikistan conventional army will be a division of the Coldorran Armed Forces.
They agree to the treaty if communist Tadjikistan becomes a free state as a province of the Coldorran Empire
It is clear that the Coldorran only want to make their territory bigger, steal the natural resources of Tadjikistan which includes oil.

And last but not least
We declare Communist Tadjikistan a free state under the banner of the Coldorran Empire!

All troops are being pulled into defensive positions to protect our nation. No offensive actions will be taken.

Consider this peace, as there will be no more bloodshed on the Communist part unless attacked.

Territory includes the guidelines requested by the UN however since you did not accept our proposal the 50,000 strong Communist Guard (newly titled) will retain their weapons.

Without approval of the negotiators (they didnt even wait for a reply by the negotiators) they declare independence, this means they become part of the Coldorran Empire. And they refuse to hand over the weapons they stole from the Tadjik government.

Conclusion: The Coldorrans are powerhungry, they annex a part of Tadjikistan without even consulting peacenegotiators or the Tadjik government about this. They retain stolen weapons to arm their local forces
They wanted to fight Tadjikistans regular army and asked for leftist countries to help them, they say they are being stabbed in the back while it was clear from the beginning what the Tadjik gov't wanted. They use lies to get what they want.
And while there wer no Tadjik or foreign forces in the North they accuse Tadjikistan of ceaseless agression (against a state that was never recognized.

Now we see that the Coldorrans and the Communist rebels want to get peace, they understand that they dont stand a chance against us and try to stop us by constantly asking for peace
Tell me, if your country is invaded and a part of it declares itself independant, would go for peace? Or get back the lost territory? I think the latter.
They try to win time, so they can get allies and invade Tadjikistan. They have already shown their intentions and will show them again in the future.
Dont believe their lies, for one day they will be stronger and more agressive than ever

1. We're strongly anti-terrorist. Read our earlier threads (alot of these we've had to pull out of due to these ceaseless attacks on the free state)

2. We have at no point attacked any armies. We have only defended aginst incursions into Communist Tadjikistan's space.

3. The Coldorran's have honoured the cease fire at every step, we have not at any point stepped out of Communist territory. We are being attacked!!

4. The Communists are happy with their freedom. We are happy with the territory. It is a sensible solution for both sides. Tadjikistan may have well lost this territory or infact, as it was shaping up, more, until we declared our borders to be smaller than the amount requested by the UN.

This is an attack against a minority group because they have earnt their freedom! I don't see why the Tadjikistans wish to kill their own people when it could be prevented simply by recognising this new state! They have not even tried to negotiate a settlement!!! They have simply ordered the Islamic Province (whom they recognised straight away!) to attack us, whilst they sit back and watch people get slaughtered!

Coldorra is not a war-like nation. Please accept that if you just recognise Communist Tadjikistan and pull out of their very small territory (about 4% for god sakes!) then the matter will be resolved peacefully! At which point the Coldorran armed forces will return to our territory and we can put our efforts to anti-terrorist use once again (all of which we have had to have pulled out of due to this!)

We have no interest in taking Tadjikistan! Should we be offered any troops support they would be used to repel the invaders on Communist Tadjikistan soil (the Islamic group sponsored by the Government) and no more. They would be removed with the Coldorran troops!

We never acused you of being a terrorist, But you did eneter Tadjikistan without asking the permission from the Tadjik government or the peacenegotiators, in our book that is an invasion. You helped a rebel group that killed Tadjik soldiers and policemen without mercy.
You make yourself guilty of harboring murderers. You protect them by giving them independence without the approval of the peacenegotiators, when you didnt like the proposal that the other factions signed, you declared independence, you quit the peacenegotiatons giving the Tadjik government only one alternative: war.
This is an attack against a minority group because they have earnt their freedom
Correction, the communists attacked government troops first.

I dont recognise your new "nation", because you left the negotiatons-table, refuse to return weapons and pay for damages.
I'm not in your (bigger than 4%) territory ... yet.

Concessions can be made, as we have said, but not whilst we are under attack! Just call a cease fire and we will negotiate peace as we have said many times!

From the last reports Islamists retreated back to their territory and yes both Vollmeria and Tadjikistan support them.

Fighting is still going on in Communist territory as ordered by the Tadjikistan government on us!

We want the Northern Region back with Tadjikistan, the offer of semi autonomy still stands, the weapons are returned and there will be peace once again.

As above, cease fire first!

Omar didnt want to make this a long battle and ordered his men to return to the forest "Move back, set some explosives to hold them for a minute. Once we're in the forest they cant follow us anymore"

One after another the men pulled back, covering eachother.

Like i said before the Islamists have returned to their territory and will not move (for now)
Tadjik army has never engaged in fighting with Coldorrans, they did sent troops North. These await the Vollmerian 1st army before they move any further.
I would also like to remind you that the Tadjik government never ordered Islamists to attack you(or can you prove me wrong?), the Islamists are semi autonomous and acted alone in this case.

I remember a fight in Khujand city to be the first battle and there Communists attacked government troops.

You cannot send troops to enforce peace without the approval of the negotiators, the Shinwari are still waiting to send their peacekeepers.

As the Islamic troops retreated into the forest, fighting died down until they were in full retreat. Moryk fired a last few shots, he predicted their farthest troops were approaching the border line.

"How are you troops?" The Communist officer asked Ryanid.

"We took around 200 casulties and lost a T-55 but it could have been worse. How does your army stand?"

"We have lost two T-80s and one..." a shot wizzed past their heads and a torrent of bullets signalled the Communists returning fire. 10 seconds later the firing stopped.

"...one attack helicopter. Troops casulties are estimated at around 1,000. These could have been averted with the proper tank support" He gave Ryanid a grave look. Ryanid looked back as if to say 'what did I do?'.

As if they had heard their conversation, three platoons of Merkava Mk IIIs, a half platoon of T-55s and an M1A2 crawled up behind them from the city limits.

The Communist Officer just shook his head. "Goodbye comrades. With our new equipment, we have almost a quarter of a million troops ready if needs be! (ooc - equipment bought elsewhere) Hopefully this will not be the case and there will be no more attacks."

The Coldorran troops pulled back into the city whilst the Communists remained at the border in case they should try to attack again.

ooc - That is the end of the battle. Pay more attention to the thread if you intend to play such a large role. In the interests of good RP.

Also, I'd like to say kudos to Tadjikistan on his RPing on this. These have been fun battles :D

We intend to call an official cease fire to allow proper negotiations to go ahead. Agreed?
09-10-2003, 19:53
We would be against the communists.

We would like to be in a defensive position, somewhere urban (where my troops specialise)
09-10-2003, 20:35
ah. then position yourself inside Tajikistan or Islamic Tajikistan territory. We are currently entering a cease fire.

Initial Proposals:

1. Communist Tadjikistan retains semi-autonomy with the Coldorran Empire as the situation stands.

2. The weapons (or an appropriate sum thereof) and a compensation of $40,000,000 will be paid to Tadjikistan.

3. UN forces will be brought in to patrol the national border of Communist Tadjikistan, with both forces outside a 2 mile DMZ.

4. Communist Tadjikistan is recognised as a free state.

5. Foreign militaries (including Coldorran) will withdraw from the geographical area of Tadjikistan.

6. The Communist Tadjikistan government will gradually reduce their military budget to at least 10%.

1. You will receive semi-autonomy with Tadjikistan. Coldorra is an outsider and must stay outside.

2 acceptable

3 no UN forces, Shinwari troops will control Communist Tadjikistan, noone else.

4 unacceptable, we do not grant independence to anyone

5 Offcourse, The Shinwari are an excellent country to maintain peace in the region.

6 The semi autonomous region of Communist Tadjikistan can have weapons, for local duties offcourse.

Freedom country: there is a map on the first page, Communist Tadjikistan is in the North, if these peacenegotiatons fail we welcome you to join our coallition forces.

We hope you appreciate how hard it is for us to make this action. It will lose us alot of support before our election.

The last troops and armour are being shipped out now.

As a gesture of goodwill, would if be possible for you to provide us some of the Communist T-80s to help replace the hardware lost in the fighting? These will put to our usual anti-terrorist activities (which we can finally return to)
10-10-2003, 15:44
all 8 T-80s will be given to Coldorra as gift to show our will to maintain peace
10-10-2003, 15:59
thank you  all our military assets are back in Coldorra.

We hope your nation retains it's semi-autonomy and your people stay happy!

The Vollmerian will slowly return all of its units to the homeland. We will see this as an exercise from wich we can learn.
So units will stay while we improve the Tadjik regular forces (more soldiers, better training and better weapons)

I dont believe i saw a single Vollmerian soldier die so for him this can be regarded as just an exercise

I just got a telegram from someone saying he is against my "left fowl and cause". Does that person know even the sligest bit about this war?
