In the Bridge of the Catfish Gunboat, The BRS jalepenostarted out as an ordinary day. The boat had being assigned to patrol international waters just to the North of Bristle for drug runners. The Crew were becoming restless after 2 weeks of continuous patrol in the area. The captain of the boat, Commander Klinger was often viewed by his crew as a crazed hermit. He was very reclusive and had often being passed over for promotion due to his past mistakes when he was a leiutenant. He had eventually recieved the promotion to commander not from merit but because the officials had become so annoyed at continuous rejection of his application letters that they thought they could just shut him up by promoting him.

The Jalepeno was one of the oldest ships of the fleet. She was dank, damp and was only a few years away from compulsory retirement when she would be sunk to make an artificial reef. Like all early model Catfish Gunboats she was badly setup for battle outside harbours with extremely cramped quaters which before had resulted in Mutiny.

On a stormy day around midday the port officials in Lapse recieved the following message:
"Mayday May..... ayday. This is the Br...tilian regional services Catfi.. gunboat the BRS Jalepeno on pat... north of Lapse In int....al waters. We went to inter....................were boarded by 100 men. They .......... bridge where they capt.......... Klinger. They have now tak.............crew b.......cks. I esc......ure to make this call. oh no, they are com[bump, 3 gunshots followed by voices conversing in foreign language bafeore transmision ceased]"

The officials have sent 2 Catfish Skirmish shipas and a Bristilian Corvette to investigate what has happend and who captured the Jalepeno.

The Lapse officials have asked for any assistance of the international community.

Did your vessel not have GPS? (global positioning system) No matter we have a battle fleet in the area, on routine excercise, as notified to UN security council.

We will immediatly call off our excercise and order them to sweep the horizons for any sign.

It does seem that your vessel has been boarded by pirates/smugglers, and must I say that a warship of your renowned navy could be boarded in such a way!

It may turn out that the crew had something to do with it!

However, be that may, we will assist youre Govt. in any way to track down the culprits and bring them to justice.

Please advise your Nation's military command that our ships and aircraft are only on a search and rescue mission and will need to enter your Nation's Territorial waters.

We take a very dim view of both piracy/smuggling and mutiny, the only three crimes that our nation uses the death penalty so if you want us to convict (sorry typo) try them in one of our courts then let me know

Deffence Minister Huberd didn't like the report he was reading. Piracy was up and they have even started to hit frigters flying the Marno flag. He flipped further on in the report, it seems that Lapse was having prolems of their own. The Catfish Gunboats were old and decriped, at least by Marno Standards.

He stood up and looked out his window to the shipyards below. There he saw at least a dozen Blue Knight PT Boats being completed. Futher up was the new frigate, corvette, and battle carrier that were beinging finished up for sea trials. He smiled and a thought came through his head. Captain Markus Waller of the MNV Blackjack, the first manned Blue Knight, walked into Huberds office without knocking.

"Just the man I was wanting to see, you must be a telepath Captain."

"Been accused of it sir. I thought that you may want to here this, we have been pushing the Blackjack. We have that engine proformance finial maxed out. We were able to take her up to 59 knots for two minutes before bringing her back down to 45 knots."

"Good work Captain, have you read the latest on pirate active."

"No sir, why?"

"Lapse is have major problems and we are going to help them out. I'm sending you as task force head along with five other Blue Knights. You have had two months with her, I think of nobody besides the techies down there who know those boats. Two of them are going to be unmanned though, don't let those two be destroyed.

We are going to try and get you premission to use Lapse Miltary docks. If are unbale to, we will send you resupply ships. Your dismissed Captain."

"Yes Sir." He snapped to attion and saluted before walking out.

Huberd got onto the secure line in his office. He would have the people on the other side conect him to his Lapse counterpart. 'This would be easer if we had a embassy their' he thought while being conect. He would explane his request and what the Blue Knight PT Boats were. He hopped that his counterpart would agree to them useing one of there military docks.

When the squadron of ships sent out of Lapse reaches the last known position of the Jalepeno they find nothing. When they test the water they do find high amounts of fuel deposit of a different sort the Catfishes use.

Scanning the horizon and radar they find nothing at all.

The lapasian government has set aside a number of ships to help find the Jalepeno. These include

1 catfish aircraft carrier equiped with surveilence aircraft
3 Catfish Skirmish II ships
1 Bristilian corvette
5 Catfish gunboats

From the aircraft carrier we will launceh a number of surveilance craft to hopefully find the Jalepeno or any traces of it.

The Lapasian Government is also Thanking all nations assisting in this venture. They will all be properly rewarded at the end of the crisis.

We will also make it known death is too good for and pirates or mutineers. We instead prefer to keep them in jail for life.

We are sending the following to help in the search. If possable we would like the use of a secure military dock for refuling, tech work, and a place for the crews to sleep. We are sending the following:

6 Black Knight Patrol Boats
- MNV Blackjack
- MNV Quick Draw
- MNV Qun Slinger
- MNV Lighthouse
- MNV Myst (Unmanned)
- MNV Riven (Unmanned)

2 Triton Support Vessles (Modifed Kresta II Cruisers)
- MNV Restoration
- MNV Constant

We will be needing bed space on dock for about 50 crew men, each Black Knight has a crew of 11. The crew of the Tritions can stay onboard. All of the spare parts and weapons can be keeped onboard the support vessles. If need be, I can have our 4th Fleet pulled from their current station if major hostilites with the pirate forces break out.

We can confirm that there was indeed fuel floating around and on sending one of our deep water explorer subs to to search the sea bed, found it was leaking out of a decrepit old hulk that had been very recently, and obviously, scuttled.

On another note, our Intelligence chaps have been hearing(as yet unconfirmed) reports of a ship very similar in appearance to your lost one entering a natural harbour on an island off the west coast of Africa.

Further reports state that the local militia has cordoned off the area andd has been seen partying on the beach with the crew of the said vessel.

The (as yet undisclosed )island has no navy of it's own other than a few rusty old freighters converted to military use.

As we are now almost certain these reports are accurate, our navy has been ordered away from the area and are now leaving the search to continue with their exercises.

We will keep you updated on any progress regarding identification of ship/crew/location/perpetrators

I hope this has been of some assistance.

The surveilence aircraft of The BRS Lydia continuously patrol the saters near where we last knew of the Jalepeno. For the First two Days they found nothing. Any ships spotted of any description were reported and boarded looking for any trces of the Jalepeno. During these exercises we impounded 3 drug running boats and 1 slaving ship but found no evidence of the Jalepeno or her crew.

On the Third day one of the surveillence aircraft reported a small ships boat floating with visibly no one on board. The pilot identified the little boat as the sort that the catfish ships use and radioed into the flagship of the squadron, the Catfish Skirmish II ship BRS Adobe. The captain of Adobe immediatly ordered away a helicopter with 12 Swordtails in it.

When they were in range the swordtails dropped down from the helicopter into the boat, a quick searchproved that it was empty and it was also one of the safety boats off the Jalepeno. A bristilian Gubnboat, The BRS Directions picked up the boat and took it straight to the closest port at Lapse for a better examination of the Boat.

You have permission to enter our port at Dedrige. It is the clostest port to where our current actions are taking place. Be careful to readio in to the port first because the port defenses are on high alert after recent events and have being told to shoot anything that moves if it hasnt recieved permission

We can make a section of a waterfront resort available for your crews use
