Emperor Rick Rivera took the podium, this being his first appearance on state-run television since the people's revolt overthrew the Island State Legislative Assembly.
"Citizens of the Empire!" Rivera called out as the crowd before him cheered. "We are expanding our military facilities in Vulcanus, an ally of ours, to accomodate additional infantry, armor and air units."
"We established this base a long time ago to fight off an invasion attempt on Vulcanus, and it has now become a center for any future foreign operations. In order to expand, we negotiated a defensive treaty and employment opportunity program with Vulcanus (OOC: In private messages) to expand the runways to accomodate our strategic bombers, to allow more infantry and armored divisions to be stationed there, and to allow us to base more aircraft on their soil."
"This expansion will lead us into a new era! With this announcement tonight, I must also announce that we will be modernizing our designs and schematics for much needed hardware to make our fighting forces feared by those who may wish to harm us. That is all."
