Villa Sumerai, 1-OCT -- With the official campaigns for regional delegate to the Reformed Alcardian States beginning in seven days, President Nicholas Everdale, the leader of Reformed Alcardia has begun his mad dash to collect any final campaign contributions.

"It's important that we get out and let everyone know that Alcardia is the greatest state within the RAS, and that the world is going to know it," President Everdale said as he darted by train between eleven speaking engagements across the midwestern Alcardian plains. "No one ever won an election by sitting back."

Official election rules prohibit Everdale from campaigning outside his own nation until after midnight on 7 October. There are no statutes banning intra-national campaigning.

Reformed Alcardia currently holds the spot of incumbent United Nations Delegate. However, the world has been shocked in recent weeks, and the Alcardian campaign tripped up by the fact that Alex Baron, the U.N. Delegate appointed by President Everdale, has been mulling over resignation for several weeks.

Baron was traveling with Everdale on his marathon of midwestern speaking engagements. "Would now be a good time to resign? No. However, when we win the election, and I have faith we will, I will decide whether I want to continue on as U.N. Delegate."

Currently no opposing RAS nations have risen to challenge Baron and Reformed Alcardia. The second most influential RAS nation, Kelanthia, and its leader, President Gordon Grath, is considered a strong possibility, as is The Federation of Eternal Flame's Reiko Hidama.

Since Everdale's burst of fundraising last week, his campaign has raised roughly *16,000,000 cyra, shattering former President Arden Rana's *10,000,000 cyra record.

The Bakshiveck Union has decided to back the current Regional Delegate in his campaign to retain his job for another term.

100 Bakshiveck Eurofighters and other air force fighters streak across Bakshiveck skies letting out red, white and black smoke trails in honor of the RAS.

The Bakshiveck Union president announces;

"We are glad to be here to witness the first democratic election of the newly formed RAS. We shall continue the festivities for the new election in the Bakshiveck Union until after the inauguration of the new Regional Delegate. As a gift to the newly elected delegate, we will invite him/her to stay in the most expensive Bakshiveck hotel and tour the most exotic spots of the Bakshiveck Union, such as Cantrell islands, Wiki trails, and New Britain Castle."

NEW ATHENS, Kelanthia -- President Gordon Grath of Kelanthia officially announced today Kelanthia's candidacy for RAS Regional Delegate at a fundraising luncheon.

"I believe that Kelanthia has the vision necessary for the great task of governing our region," he said in his prepared remarks. "We are home to the largest single economic entity in the RAS, and with our strong emphasis on security, we have both the will and the means to defend the RAS from any potential enemies."

Grath's campaign officials have announced that for the race to become RAS delegate, a respectable $12 million Kelanthian kaupangs have been raised. Already television and newspaper ads have begun to run in top news sources all over the region.

When asked whether he thinks he can oust incumbent Nicholas Everdale and the Alcardian UN delegation, Grath merely replied, "Well, I don't want to speculate on something like that, but I will point out that in my opinion, Alcardia cannot offer the RAS constituents as much as Kelanthia can."

Reiko Hidama, leader of the Federation of Eternal FIame and close friend of Grath, was unavailable for comment on the rumors that he plans to enter a delegation from Eternal FIame in the race. Analysts have noted, though, that the recent increase in economic activity between Eternal FIame and Kelanthia may be an indicator that Hidama may support Kelanthia's bid instead of adding a separate candidacy.
