pic to big... leader's name... too long...
01-10-2003, 02:39
I believe The Macabees already has a tank like this one.
01-10-2003, 02:41
Zossen: Your point?

Raysia, Reichsverteidigungsministerium isnt my leaders name, it is the Reich's Defense Ministry. And the picture is only 46kb.
01-10-2003, 02:45
umm, I mean the SIZE of the pic... it engages the horizontal scrolls, screws up text. Not all of us have that MSIE auto-picture-sizer tool.

Zossmo, I already told em that, He'd hear nothing of it!
01-10-2003, 02:48
Ok, I cropped the picture. Now, care to talk about the TANK instead of pictures or similar tanks?

 Do hope you do,at a price I could afford. After all this nation is only a day old,a great additive to my millitary and security.
01-10-2003, 02:52
Raysia: Never! I take pride in modelling the stuff myself, and I prefer to keep stuff untextured.
01-10-2003, 02:56
If you do sell it,how much would it be,in your currency speaking?NOEP uses Jade coins,so I gues "one jade coin" is about worth 1 american dollar.
01-10-2003, 02:59
We arent selling it yet. I don't know how much it would cost.

thats why i said "if"...besides,a tank so great and mobile,it would likely be out of the spending range.

Where do you get those diagrams of tanks?

The tank is too fast
01-10-2003, 03:11
I modelled it myself. How is it too fast?
Johnistan
01-10-2003, 03:15
123km is like 90mph right? Thats too fast for a 1800hp engine, I think 60-70mph would be the top speed of any tracked vehicle with a reasonable engine.

What program do you model those with?
01-10-2003, 03:23
Milkshape. I will use a diff. engine then :/
01-10-2003, 15:13
Production has begun.
01-10-2003, 19:02
OOC: What would you consider a fair selling price?
01-10-2003, 19:03
I will take 5.
01-10-2003, 19:06
Umm, you do not know the selling price yet.
01-10-2003, 19:07
Yeha but when I find the price I'll still take five.
01-10-2003, 19:08
Ok, price is 40 trillion dollars :)
01-10-2003, 19:08

I have to say it, sorry, but thats too fast for a tracked vehicle. That sort of speed is better suited to wheeled fighting vehicles.

Otherwise, very cool, and consider us interested in the design, with the intent to purchase some to act as scout tank divisions, or support for normal scout divisions.

McLeod - our tactical officers feel it might be well used as a raider vehicle, quick strikes on MBT lines. Plus it's TOW missiles help it act as anti-tank artillery.

Hmm, could have been useful against your Leopards/King Leopards int eh FPC thing. Oh well.

Keep it up. And check the wargames thread.

Are you Rob McLeod? The guy who wrote the article on ERA?
01-10-2003, 19:21
Well, against a King Leopard, it's cannon is near useless. It's TOW missiles would pack a punch against it. It's cannon would take several shots, in which time the K. Leopard would have killed it.

Another advantage is that it can airdrop. Try that with a King Leopard and you would have a big crater.

Electrothermal cannons have rendered armor obsolete, at least in NS.

Afraid not. Why?
01-10-2003, 19:24
How does electrothermal-chemical weaponry work?
Johnistan
01-10-2003, 19:25
I was just wondering. There's a guy who wrote on good article about explosive reactive armor named Rob McLeod.

How does electrothermal-chemical weaponry work?

A piece of light metal is placed at the base of the tank shell, say a APFSDS round. Then the light metal is subjected to a large electric charge, this would happen so violently that the metal would turn into plasma. The expanding gases would propell the shell to a much higher velocity then with regular propellent.
01-10-2003, 19:30
Metal cannot turn into plasma though. At least transition metals, since they cannot reach the gaseous state.
