For two weeks officials of Iraq, Saudia Arabia and Kuwait have been discussing Iraqi claims in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah. Iraq has been campaigning for a reuturn of the Kuwaiti island of Bubiyan and for Kuwait to cease its illegal drilling of Iraqs oil. However just under an hour ago the peace talks failed and Iraqi delegates walked out complaining that Kuwait was "Not taking the situation seriously'.

Saddam Hussein is not happy about the collapse of the peace talks and announced just a minute ago that "If they don't give it to me, I will. . . .Take it"

We are unsure how the situation will develop...

At 0200 hours just half an hour ago, 100,000 Iraqi troops and around 300 tanks crossed the broder into Kuwait.

Two armored divisions, one division of mechanized infantry and a special forces division are involved. The attack is being led by the Republican Guard. The special forces division utilized helicopters and boats and are assaulting Kuwait City directly.

Saddam Hussein has stated the following to the invasion forces. "Troops of Iraq. Let the desert eagle fly within you. Take back what is rightfully ours!"

Silly people fighting over oil i mean it isn't even that good a resource appart from its uses for making plastics but even that isn't nneded these.

But i suppose if its the only natural resource you have and you don't have lots of high yeild arable land to grow your fuel (ie conconuts, sugar beat/cane etc etc) then you need to try and portray it as actually having some value otherwise noone would pay you any attention.

Well it isnt JUST about oil. Afterall Kuwait DID used to be part of Iraq and they refuse to give us the other half that the traitors in this country sold to them. Its about rightful territory just as much as oil. Anyway you would not be happy if another country was stealing YOUR natural rescources would you? You know Iraq was never even a proper country it was rather a silly administerative mistake on behalf of the British Foreign office.

Anyway following popular opinion the Kingdom of Crookfur has no stance on these matters to be honest we really don't care what goes on outside our direct interests.
And if anyone tried to "steal" some of our territorial holdings well we wouldn't get mad, we would get even ;)

in 1991 Iraq had an army of 1,500,000 (the fourth largest in the world) and that was with 18,000,000 people. I have 200,000,000 if you havent noticed.

1 million is still too great. reduce to 100,000-that's a nation you size's usual defence force.
