Royal Palm names new Emperor!

Mike Elliott a leading member of the Nationalist party has been named Emperor. He takes power as interim leader Foreign Minister Andrew Rinaldi steps down. Rinaldi took power after the former Emperor Miguel de Santos was assassinated.
Emperor Elliott hopes to bring pride back for the people of Royal Palm. He also has plans to put more emphasis on military funding.

RUSCHIC LEADER ISSUES CONGRATULATIONS . . . AGAIN
For the fourth time this month, Ruschic Presidenté Rustito has sent less-than-formal congratulations to a country he's never heard of before. In a televised news conference made in front of perhaps three or four different people who were apparently lost on their way to the restrooms, Rustito said, "if there's one thing I can count on, it's that that country will have years of goodness to come. I mean prosperity. . . Yeah, goodness isn't a verb. I mean word. Man, I should have known that -- I won a class spelling bee back in '94. Do you think the populace would mind if I hired a guy to spell-check all the documents I write out on that computer in my office? Or if I had the national anthem changed to Born To Run?"
Secretary of defense Hal Allen could not be reached for comment, as he was currently in the next room with a terrible migraine, begging anyone he could see to get him away from the Ruschic leader's presence.
Isn't this the country who was invaded by our nation's allies and us 20 years ago? When I was appointed to be Head of State by the President?
