Hainan Attacks Guanxi Province of China... (WW2 RP)
OOC: Yep, were imperialists, war-mongerers, so on, and you can't touch us because we exist in WW2 :D
OOC2: If anyone wants to RP the rabble of Chinese troops opposing me, feel free. Keep in mind that an organized atack will destroy pretty much any organized reistance, though a guerilla war may be interesting.
Until then,
Hainan Launches Assault on Guanxi Province, Encircles Behai!
While Hainan slept last night, Hainanese T-40 Amphibious tanks made landings at several points east of Beihai (a little coastal city), Weizhou Dao (a small island), and several locations southwest of Qinzhou. As heavier tank forces, mainly T-34's, landed, Il-2 Shturmoviks provided close air support while true to Hainanese Military Doctorine, pockets of enemy resistance were surrounded and shot into the ground by BM-8 rocket artillery systems (OOC: 1941 tech, just not widely used). Hainanese troops are currently racing for Nanning, the capital of Guanxi, as the big guns of the 2nd Hainanese Fleet threaten to forcefully subdue Beihai. Hainanese Troops have advanced about 40 miles on the 1st day, plagued somewhat by vehicle breakdowns.

Why is it China?
I'M CHINESE!
WW2 Tech?
Haha... Sure I'll join.
We congratulate Hainan on this swift actiosn to restore order in Guanxing and pre-empt any attack on themselves by the Kuomintang.
[OOC: and, of course, to secure vital communications ligns ;) GO HAINAN!]
The final aid shipment, containing 238 BT-5 light tanks, 84 FAI-M armored cars, 42 D-8 armored cars, 62 BA-1 armored cars, 84 BA-27 armored cars, 58 BA-3 armored cars, 24 BA-20 armored cars, and 74 BA-10 armored cars is being shipped to CHiang Mai. Armored cars have a greater potential than tanks in the Indochina region, and as most of these are armed with either 37 or 45mm ATG's, they should prove useful in the fight against imperialism (how hard is it to destroy a curiser tank stuck in mud? :) )
[OOC: And who says I wont just send Hainanese Guard units to fight under the Chiang Maian flag?]

Perhaps we have found a place for East Islandia!! I will tell him of this immediately...just becareful with this subject, his grandparents were Chinese Partisans..he may get offended if you make some rather distasteful comments
Hvan commends Hainan on their assault!

Of course Great Walmington urges East Islandia to get in there and resist the opportunist barbarians, and hopes that Walmington's Pacific allies are not too strained to lend some sort of aid (WoS absolutely can not afford to heavily involve itself in another theatre at this time, lest North Africa collapse and the Americas turn to utter anarchy).
Were it possible for Walmington to deliver greater condemnation of Hainan than has already been the case following their support of Chiang Mai and suspected responsibility for the loss of the Ajax, such would be done.

Meanwhile, the First Shadow Detachment, cross training with our Chinese allies before the outbreak of war, have been authorized to aid our comrades wherever possible in whatever ways they can.

Just asking, what year are you? I'm early 1941...
Have fun with my navy and airforce anyways :) . There's a reason my army and airforce are relatively small

Hainan Prepares to Engage East Islandia
Haikou, Hainan- To counter the mobilization of the exploiters of the people and imperialists of East Islandia, who recently dispatched a naval taskgroup and a couple hundred fighters to invade Hainanese territory in Guangxi, the Minitry of War announced the mobilization of the 1st fleet, 72 Yak-1 fighters, and 132 LaGG-1 fighters. In addition, Hainanese Guards are being ferried over to Guangxi in case of an invasion. The 1st fleet is one of the worlds largest and most powerful naval forces, consisting of 2 Fear class battlehsips, 4 Ark Royal class aircraft carriers (sold to me by a modern tech country), 2 Independnce class battleships, 2 Lanka class battleships, 2 Dend class cruisers, 3 Vlad Olda class cruisers, 1 Haikou class battlecruiser, 2 Parcel class battlecruisers, 7 Vanyukh class cruisers, 3 Morishoti class destroyers, 12 Mersy class destroyers, and 8 Tongishi class destroyers.

OOC- I'm usually mod tech, but for this RP, i will be.. hm... 1940s tech i guess?
In recent developments today in an escalation of hostilities with the imperialist dogs of Hainan, the East Banner Fleet has dispatched regular units, including the Fifth, Eighth, and Seventh Surface Engagement Groups and the First, Fourth, and Twenty-Second Mechanized Maneuver Divisions, and the Twenty Eighth Naval Landing Force. The Eighty First and Forty Second Subsurface Detachments have also been dispatched.
This consists of about three hundred ships and submarines and about forty thousand soldiers, all inbound from various bases on islands near the Mainland.

(Ach.. we're going to end up with too many people again. We needed E.Islandia to play the defending Asian element, but.. FCN as well? The Axis and their Asian allies are going to be wiped out in weeks at this rate. And Mustangs themselves ..by that name, as such.. don't even exist in this world since Britain never gave America the direction to build them. There's too much history for people to appear without reason.)

Argh, this seems just the sort of thing that Iansisle would be concerned about, doesn't it? Well, seeing as how this was the last thread to be bumped, and I need to tag it anyway, I may as well ask: did anything important happen this weekend? I'm feeling so out of the loop...)

(Please excuse the intrusion, Hainan..)
(all ooc:)
Em.. Egypt is still under Italian attack from Libya.. Chad under Ercolanan attack from the Horn.. Libya under WoS attack from Free French Algeria.. Calarca's still pressing Karachi through his Galagan holdings.. Hvan (Peru) has effectively taken out Ecuador, and doesn't look like stopping- they have signed an agreement with Hainan and are being armed. WoS is trying to arm Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, and possibly Colombia.. and thus can't spare anything for the Chinese.. or whoever.. Erco appears to be arming Brazil, but WoS can't confirm that as yet, and of course we don't trust Argentina since they sympathised with the Axis.. shipping losses to Erco U-boats are on the rise.. WoS has been moving more units into Canada and talking (privately) about something called Operation Re-vere. There seems to be a tank-based arms race on, with Hainan and Hvan parading effective armour piercing guns about, and Walmington piling on ever more armour for them to (fail to :D ) pierce.
Uhm, and I've probably forgotten tons of threads myself :?

1st of all, let us explain the situation to some of the more ignorant leaders (Well, islandia supports the Kai-shek govt I presume)
• Hainan is CHINESE, an island off the southern coast of Hainan
• China is supposedly ruled by Chiang Kai-shek, a brutal dictator who ruthleslly butchers even those he signed alliances with
• Communists, Chiang loyalists, and japanese roam the country killing each other, the peasants, and anything else that moves
• Hainan is simply trying to bring peace and calm to Guangxi- if you bothered to check we have not commited any atrocities
The 2nd fleet is also being called up (basically same thing as the 1st fleet without the carriers, it's my home defense fleet)

are you calling me ignorant? Cause i can own you in just about any discussion of Chinese history.
Besides, if you think that way yourself, let's go kick Chiang Kai-shek out. And i dont trust people who use Russian equipment in the 1940s.
OOC:
ICly, yes we are!
OOCly, no
Basically, the Soviets made Hainan a puppet state by throwing out the warlords in the 1920's, then got thrown out themselves. Besides, what am I supposed to use? Swedish ww2 tech?

ooc: No, Chinese. I know that the Chinese didn't make anything really idigenious in World War II, but they certainly didn't have KV-1s and T-34s. If you want to use Russian tech I suggest you play as Russia.

well.. Knowing that Hainan is part of China, i say we instead turn this war on everyone and kick out Chiang kai-shek, afterwards prompting americans to come swoop in and fight us since we are communist.
Or we could just fight the war as is.

(Personally, were I playing a Japanese-style nation, I'd have been happy to use Japanese armour. Most of it is as bad as Italian armour of the time, granted, and a lot even worse, but the likes of the Kyo-Go and Chi-Ha were plenty good enough against the Chinese, and nipping about along jungle trails and what not.. then later when the proper nations get involved ( :D ) production of the Chi-To would have completely turned the tables on those shermans.
(Alright, so actually I have with another nation used those tanks.. in the modern age. That went..well :( ))
