Today, while touring the countryside of Hobbiton today, our leader, Thain Bilbo Baggins IX was assaulted by a platoon of orcs. Bag End was, in turn, also burned to the ground by the Orcs. The Mayor of Michel Delving has delivered the following address to the people:
"Greetings! Greetings to my fellow Hobbits. It has not been since the Battle of Bywater have we Hobbits seen combat or brutal warfare. But today, sadly, our leader, Thain Baggins, was assaulted by a platoon of ravenous Orcs and slaughtered. Though we know not who sent the Orcs, we are preparing a counter-strike and immigration laws have been tightened. Do not fear, my fellow Shire-folk, for I assure you that our sovereign borders will remain secure and that the Shire will be green and beautiful for many more years to come."
Soon after the address was delivered, the Mayor sent an international plea to the world and has demanded those who sent the attack to come forward.
