The Elias Marine Corporation is proud to offer the EM-5 'Typhoon' class special operations and river patrol boat.
The design is fairly conventional and has been in service for several years with the Special Reconaissance Service (SRS) proving to be an extremely flexible type ofr a variety of missions including hit and run raids, covert insertion missions and as a river patrol vessel.
The boat itself is designed to transport up to 16 passengers and be heavily armed with small arms to rpovde self defencee and supporting fire for forces on the shore. It can also achieve a maximum speed of 52 knots for quick getaways if neccessary. The hull and superstructure of the vessel is made form lightweight alumnium but with Kevlar lining to provide protection from bullets of calibre 12.7mm or less.
The craft is air transportable in an An-124, C-5 Galaxy or similar type and can be carriee as an underslung load on an Mi-26 or CH-53 type helicopter.
Up to two inflatable boats can be accomodated on the stern of the vessel.
