Deflection Inducers, Partners Welcome

Padmasa has begun research on deflection screens, or deflection inducers as they are commonly known. The DI works by creating a Cylindrical field of gravitational energy around the soldier at a range of one meter that will cause most metallic projectiles to to simply miss. While this does not effect large projectiles such as tank rounds or missiles it significantly increases the lifespan of any soldier. Further, higher powered weapons can easily puncture the field and the wearer, will suffer some disadcantages if they attempt to fire a weapon that uses metallic projectiles while the DI is active.

Padmasa will now be opening the field to partner nations who would like the benefit of these wonderous inventions. There are only a few requirments.

Potential partner nation's contributed scientists will work within Padmasa.
Potential partner nation will not be allowed to know where there scientists are.
Potential partner nation will not attempt to locate Padmasan research facility.
Potential partner will acknowledge Padmasa's sole sales rights.
Potential partner will donate upwards of 1.5 billion to the project.

Any nation willing to adhere to those guidelines is welcome. To show that Padmasa is not forcing it's allies in this project to make up the entire cost of the project Padmasa will donate 9 billion at the start of the project.

The goals of the project are as follows:

- create a viable power supply, that is man portable
- create a light version of the DI for standard infantry
- create a normal version for heavy infantry
- create a heavy version for powered armor
- fix any bugs that appear during creation
- find ways to make mass produciton viable
- make the designs cost effective
- any last minute work

I just want to know how this will work. Because in order for magnets to repel, the object they're repelling must be the opposite polarity. If you had a magnetic field around your soldiers, more bullets would be attracted to them.

Sorry, looking at the wrong thing. Hmmm I'll edit my first post to be more... accurate.
