Regulus withdraws from the Klonor Empire! (Space RP)

Klonor

Alarms blared throughout the bridge of the GDD Aquitane, capital of the fleet stationed on constant guard in the Regulus system. With horror the captain recognized the unique signature of these alarms, a mutiny!

With a blast of static the intercom sprang to life, confirming the captains fears.

"Attention all loyal crew, this is 2'nd lieutenant Jiggers in the engine room, we are under attack! Members of the crew have attempted to seize control of the engines, and are now trying to cut through the doors. We wont be able to hold them out mu"

With barely split second different a new voice comes on, that of the captains former second in command.

"This is Commander Dempsey of the Regulus Space Force. That's right, Regulus. For to long has the Klonor Empire grown weak and decadent. The GA does nothing but drain us of our strength and arm our enemies. We will no longer be part of the pale mockery of our once great nation. I call to all natives of Regulus, stand up and gain our independance!"

With the end of the communication a loud noise drew the captains gaze from the now silent intercom. He whipped around just in time to see the three Regulus bridge crew unload their entire magazines into the back of their former comrades-in-arms. The captain felt nothing but sorrow as they turned their aim towards him.

OOC: Okay, this will be a combat RP with me and some allies attempting to destroy or capture the traitorus fleet and then defeat any ground forces (with ground combat, I don't just want an orbital bombardment) on Regulus and the other planets in the system. There will only be 5 players since once more join it all goes to hell, and you must ask to join before you join. I do NOT want this turning out like my other invasion RP's, okay?

The defenses of the system:

Every planet has a detatchment of Harbinger Cannons defending it

There are 4 Orions, 20 Fenris's, 10 Leviathans, and 6 Aeolus's stationed in every system.

Finally, there will be a fully stocked Carrier in each system, with over three hundred fighters, bombers, and interceptors on board.

Was that all because of his n00bish actions, or did he just lose a war?

Sorry for asking, it's just that my other greatly planned (in my opinion) RP's were shot straight to hell because of so many n00bs.
McLeod03

Mostly for n00bish actions. Claiming ridiculous weapons, massive numbers of forces, posting others losses, that sort of thing.

Welcome Arbra, I appreciate you helping me stop a secession from the Empire!

(Even if you did just secede)
28-09-2003, 01:47
[When did we secede?]

A call awoke Commander Mike Burchfield. He was just this day annointed Captain of the first Delta Command Ship commissioned. HE answered the call, which told him that he was to take the Delta on her maiden excursion- to assist Klonor in a mutiny, and to put down the Regulus rebels. Mike sighed, and got out of bed. He looked at his clock, as it read 3:18 AM. He got dressed in his new Captain's uniform, gathered his blaster pistol, and began to walk to the door as his commlink went off again. He sighed angrily as he answered it. The other end of the line told him that the situation was slightly more drastic than before, and he would be the Commander of not only the Delta, but also an Imperator Class Carrier, two Regork Class Battleships, two Hiigaran Marine Frigates, one Delphi Crew/Cargo Transport, and four Overlord Class Dropships. This did not include the fighters in the ships. Stunned, mike gathered himself to acknowledge, and walked out the door.

He made his way into the shipyards, where, even at 3:20 AM, things were still buzzing with life. He got over the intercomm, and announced the mission and all the details. Suddenly, men and troops began to load onto ships like wildfire. Mike smiled, knowing that he was finally a Commander. He walked over to a small ship vehicle, which carried him nearly to the other end of the shipyards, where his pride Delta was waiting, fully stocked with its crew and troops. He loaded into it, and began his trek out of the atmosphere, along with the others in his small but versatile fleet, to help with this Klonor situation.

Klonor Fleet Command, Gamma Draconis Military Base, Gamma Draconis System

"Sir, the reoprt from the Regulus fleet is 7 hours over do."

"Probably just a transmitter failure. The Orions have been having them a lot lately."

"No sir, since we have received one partial message. I'll bring it up, sir"

A fuzzy image appears on the screen and a beaten and scarred man whispers his vital message:

"The Regulus system is rebelling. They've captured the fleet and killed everybody. I'm hiding in an engineering compartment. They'll find me soon. Send help!"

The screen fades to black.

"We thought is was a hoax, some kid hacker playing around with military communications. But in light of the communications black-out...."

"Oh f***. Get the 4'th fleet there immedietly! I want to know what the hell is going on NOW!"

Slowly, the Klonor Empires Heavy Fire groups engines warm up and launch them into the unknowns of Sub-space on their way to Regulus.

Commander Burchfield aboard the Delta, along with all the other ships in the rather small fleet, exited the atmosphere. Once in the dark beyond of space, Burchfield sent a holo-message to the Klonor head base.

Klonor, this is Commander Mike Burchfield of the Arbran Military, aboard the AMS (Delta) Forager. We are ready to make a jump to hyperspace upon receival of coordinates to help with your current situation. OVer.
Klonor
28-09-2003, 03:35
"Commander, it's the entire freaking system! Jump in wherever and start shooting. I'd advise sending in your smaller vessels in first, those Harbinger cannons will rip your larger vessels to shreads. Our support ships will get there in approximately 4 hours."
28-09-2003, 03:47
"Klonor, we copy that, and receiving coordinates right now. We recognize weapons free on all located vessels. Entering hyperspace in seven minutes. Expected to arrive at designated location within twenty."

Mike turned off his commlink, and thought for a minute. He realized what he was going up against. He was just above Arbra, and then radioed back to Mythos.

"Mythos command, this is Commander Burchfield. We are going up against more than originally planned, and request additional ships to be joined, over."

"Howard that, Mike, what do you need?"

"I'd say a Nebulon-G, three more Y-86 squadrons, two Kodiacs and a Revelation."

"Howard that. You are dang lucky we are keeping up production. They will be up there with you in less than an hour."

Commander Burchfield got back on his commlink, and sent another message to Klonor.

"Klonor, this is Commander Mike Burchfield again. We are going to be delayed an expected 1.5 hours. We are expecting reinforcements. Will be on our way as soon as possible."
Klonor
28-09-2003, 03:53
"Roger that. And good luck."

As the transmissions zoom across space and time the Klonor fleet continues on its way.

OOC: Why do they keep saying "Howard that"?
Klonor
28-09-2003, 03:54
OOC: Do you want the actual stats of the Nebulon-G? The Imperial Center site used to have the specifications of it and a whole bunch of toehr ships. That part doesn't work anymore, but I printed the specs out. Do you want them?
28-09-2003, 04:00
[They say Howard that as their form of Roger that. SC uses Howard also. I just get bored with Roger. Roger is so popular... anyways, yeah, I got pics and crap from IC, but they are too freaking huge. Could you TG them to me?]

After sitting around above the atmosphere, the other ships arrive with the fleet. Now over twice as strong as they were to begin with, they began to prepare for hyperspace, which would take them nine minutes. They did not know what to expect, so prepared to send in a Regork and Kodiac in first to semi-clear a locale, and the rest of the fleet would follow two minutes later.

The Regork and Kodiac took to hyperspace, as the others stayed behind, ready to go in two minutes. As the Regork and Kodiac came out of hyperspace, everything was quiet. Ships were everywhere, but nothing was firing. The Regork and Kodiac took quick advantage of this, and began opening fire on the Harbringers to make way for the incoming ships.

The Harbinger cannons absorb the first volley from the attacking ships and release a round of Harbingers, 10 targeted on each ship.

(That's 50 gigatons worth of explosive force for each ship)

Capability of launching a Harbinger Warhead every 4 seconds at .9999999999999999 of light speed. Each warhead unleashes a 5 gigaton explosion. 20 in orbit around every planet.
28-09-2003, 04:29
The Regork and Kodiac kept their fire up. They saw that the Harbringers were still under main construction, and were not immediately firing. The two ships were glorious under the magnificent lights of the laser bursts and pulses. The crews watched as Harbringers began to explode. The Kodiac assumed fire over the Harbringers, as the Regork then went after the largest ships in the location, mainly targeting any carriers.

Actually, forget that. After all my invasion RP's went down the **** whole I put in the Harbingers so that those plots would never come up again. They basically make the planet nearly impenetrable. The 20 Harbinger cannons in orbit of Regulus (the colonozed planet) tumbled to the surface in a grand blaze of flame (Great, there goes 20 trillion florens). The Fleet, spurned into action, spreads outward. The cruisers and corvettes concentrate in the center with the Destroyers on the outer ring. They all open fire at the Regork, slicing it in two (hopefully) with the Heavy Beams as the lighter beams shoot around the ship, keeping it hedged in.

The Regork was split in half by the total concentrated fire, and soon, the Kodiac was done the same way. Just then, hundreds of small capsules jetisoned out of the two ships- ejection pods. Just as it seemed hopeless, all of the space around them filled with the magnificent blue auras. The Trailers ships moved in, firing. Suddenly, also, a rather large aura appeared all around the pods. The Arbra fleet came in through it, and just seconds later, began firing on the enemy fleets. The Nebulon-G began rapid fire on the smaller, corvette sized ships, while the Delta, Kodiacs, and Regorks began firing lasers, torpedoes, and the like at the larger, more powerful ships. Behind all this was the Carrier, which stayed silent for the time being.

As the ships already in system continued to pummel each other the Klonor 2'nd, 3'rd, and 4'th Fleets suddly flash out of sub-space with all Guns blazing.

At the center (of course) was the Colossus. However, the forward Beam Cannons were not firing. Instead, the Main Cannon, used only once before since the construction of the Colossus, slowly charges up. As the surrounding ships absorb and return fire with the traitor fleets the Cannon continues to charge until, at peak power, it unleashes a blast at the lead rebelling Orion wider than the ship itself. The Orion doesn't explode. There's no burst of flame. Instead, it fizzles straight out of existence with only a small bit of dust left in its wake.

The commander (Ed?) opens up his coms to the Klonor ships he's practiced with so much, "Klonor ships, I have an idea, I need than Collosus gun again, soon. I think you can use that to super ignite Ministar vent gas, it would toast the enemy quite efficiant...*Boom*...ly"

[Screw you guys, I was at a Cross Country meet.]

The ships continued to fire their torpedoes and guns, until the Collossus and other ships arrived. Mike Burchfield looked at the Collossus, in anger. His Delta was just as powerful as that flying hunk of metal, simply minus that big gun thing on it. He was utterly pissed. He ceased all fire from all ships. The other were taking good care of the situation. He opened his commlink to Mythos.

This is Commander Burchfield. Situation near controlled. Requesting Delphi Dropships to bring in troops and armor. We are taking the initiative on the planet. Over.

Minutes later, the reply from Mythos came in, confirming. THe Delphis would be at their location in roughly two hours, when the assault on the planet would begin.

The Delta took occasional pot-shots at enemy ships, who were now dwindling. Y-86 Rex fighters took their usual runs around the fleet. The Regorks and Kodiacs ran their runs protecting the Delta, while the Carrier simply sat in the back, with an occasional fighter bursting out as lightning. The Albatross, not the Flagship, took its occasional shot at an Orion, few of which remained in the vicinity.
30-09-2003, 03:40
The JImathon Commander smiled in his comphy chair, "OK then,, you see what he's doing? It sounds like fun to me... Deploy Lander Sheba's!"

On his command 1000 Sheba, loaded to the brim, set course for the planet. Each one loaded with Powerful infanry, and the new JEJ Uber-Mech. These men were more than ready to show the traitor the time of thier lives....
30-09-2003, 03:53
[Sure, cheat me out of the first land battle...]

The Delphis finally arrived, soon after the initial movement of the Sheebas. The Carrier then began to move, as it went towards the planet. Suddenly, 120 Y-86 fighters burst out of the hangars just as a badger out of a snake hole. The Delphi Dropships, along with the fighters, made their way into the planet's atmosphere. The dropships were loaded down with Troopers, along with nearly 200 hundred Mechs and MBTs. They were ready to rock.

OOC: what is the status of the enemy in the cities? Wanna minimize civilian casualties you see.
Klonor
30-09-2003, 03:58
Figure multiple thousand of Klonor Marines are stationed in the cities. However, they number will not be to high, since all the marines from Deneb and Epsilon Pegasi have been killed by their traitorous bretheren. Also, assume that a minority of the civilian population will be fighting against you.
30-09-2003, 04:02
The mechs began bombarding the cities defence, firing high energy bombs at the military outposts. The infantry charged forward with the energy of a Zebra on speed.

"This is Commander Ed to all infantry, Give them the GUSTO!"

"YEEE HAAAWWW!!!"

"Considerable gusto indeed..."

The fighting in the streets was a joke as the men sliced the rebels to pieces. Very odd shaped pieces at that.
30-09-2003, 04:08
As the Delphis landed, they watched in disgust at the way the Jimathon idiots handled things. No tactics involved, simply pure overwhelming force. Deciding not to get too involved, several Delphis were called back, leaving only twenty to drop their cargo. As they landed on a large plainland, several miles from the nearest settlement, which happened to be a small town, numbering maybe 17,000 people. They began unloading their cargo.

[8,000 Troopers; 58 Mechs, 70 MBTs]

OOC: So the fleet has been destroyed and now there's a ground invasion? Okay. Question, how thick is the armor on Jims mechs?

IC:

As the Jimathon troops push throught the Klonor lines the specially reserved forces stationed in the cities buildings open up with their fully automatic weapons (I have yet to actually name the guns that they use, although I do have the specs), targeted at the joints of the lead Jimathon mechs.
30-09-2003, 22:36
From the plains far away from the fighting, the Troopers could see the harsh fighting nearly four miles away. The Mechs and MBTs waited in a defferent staging area. Troopers were split into Platoons of fifty, and told to wait for the order to move in from Commander Burchfield.

Overhead, Y-86 fighters buzzed around, occasionally firing on buildings confirmed to hold enemy troops.
30-09-2003, 23:10
OOC: The armor is of Emperor Joe design (I.E. I'm not sure, let's say heavy)

"Aggg, we got men in the buildings!"

"My leg!"

"AGGG!!!...Uggg"

The screams of the unprepared mechs filled the air, they weren't trainded in urban fighting, especially when dealing with the unorthadow methods of terrorists, not to say they were incopitant, merely ignorant in many cases of what to look for.

"Sector 3 buildings evacted, open fire!"

___________

In space General Tunas looked on.

"Prepair Sheba's for helping the evacuation."

"Yes, sir."

"Terll them they have 2 hour to get everyone out tof the cities, then we..." He hezitated, "Have to begin firing back at the buildings, full or not."

"Oh, and open a channel to Arbra. Tell him we need some kind of weapon to get the people out of the buildings, all we have is basic riot gear. And if he gets smug, flip him the bird."
30-09-2003, 23:50
Commander Burchfield received a comm from down on the ground. However, it was from Jimathon. He opened the link, as it requested for assistance in the manner.

Yeah, what do you need? Air support or ground? We can send Troopers in, or we have just a few Mechs that can drive them out from a good distance. Elaborate, man, elaborate.

Down on the ground, the Troopers and others watched as the Delphis returned to orbit. They were alone on the ground now, just with the Mechs and MBTs to keep them company, along with the flying Y-86s.
30-09-2003, 23:57
"Air support, We need you to incinerate the power source of a few buldings, to smoke out the bad guys."
01-10-2003, 00:04
You got it.

A R-24 Norseman bomber took off from the Carrier, loaded with two EMD-44 bombs. It headed into the atmosphere, and flew over the city. It released the two EMPs, and took back to the Carrier, without giving another thought.
01-10-2003, 00:14

Switching from armor piercing rounds to full auto (faster rate of fire, less power) they ex-Klonor Marines switch from the downed mechs to the Jimathon infantry.

OOC: Their guns can pierce 3 inches of titanium from over 1,000 yards away, that's how they were able to take down the mechs using just hand-held weapons
01-10-2003, 00:26
Realizing that he was now in control, Mike Burchfield immediately called Mythos.

We are now in full control of the situation on the ground. Requesting additional help. Say, five Pontius Persuit Destroyers, and a Hiigaran Gunship.

Request acknowledged. Sending ships now, should be there [by my next post].

The fighting on the ground greatly intensified. On the holographic map in front of him, Mike simply watched. After seeing what seemed like hundreds of Jimathon troops get slaughtered, he immediately called them back to a safe zone, two miles outside the city. The enemy was giving more than they had thought. He kept his men at the original gathering point, not too quick to send his men in without a proper plan. He was waiting for the Jimathon troops to withdraw first.

IC:

As the Jimathon troops begin to withdraw the renegades spring their surprise.

With a scream and a howl a lone Ursa bomber climbs up from the launch pad, circleing over towards the so-called "safe zone". As the Jimathonian troops settle in for what seems like a brief respite the Ursa launches 4( that's right, four) Tsunami bombs directly in the middle of the formation.

Arbra said they were massacered, and sent them all to a place where I launched a bomber
01-10-2003, 01:18
The five destroyers and Hiigaran gunship arrived, and joined forces with the others. By now, Mike had received word from Mythos about the Parthenon and Crimson Blades conflict, and he knew his orders. He watched his holographic map, and saw that the Jimathon troops were all located just about 500m from the 8000 Troopers, 58 Mechs, and 70 MBTs. He gave the order to the Mechs, MBTs, and Troopers.

On the ground, everyone received the order. They had a feeling that it was going to happen, but were not sure when. They all turned to face the Jimathon soldiers. The Mechs began to open fire with all they had, and the XMB Mechs opened up with their [Extremely] Heavy Gauss Cannons. The MBTs began to move out in front, firing their Cannons and Lasers at the Jimathon troops. The 8000 Troopers immediately opened up on the very unsuspecting Jimathon troops. The automatic lasers, gauss rifles, and explosive charges opened up on the unsuspecting troops. The Jimathon troops began falling dead, hell being poured onto them by their allies.

At the hearing of the successful surprise, Commander Burchfield made two very important calls. He ordered all ships in the location to open all firepower onto the now enemy Colossus. Suddenly, all ships shot out bright lights off laser cannon, as torpedoes and other cannon ripped at the Colossus. The Carrier, silent until now, ripped open with seventy-two Y-86s screaming towards the Collosus. At the same time on teh Carrier, twenty R-24 Norsemen bombers took off, headed down to the planet. As they came over the Jimathon troops, they dropped their ROAR Incendiary Bombs over them.

The next call Commander Burchfield made was to Mythos.

Operation underway. Have everyone by surprise.

The message was received by Mythos, at which everyone at the commanding post was relieved.

As the enemy ships jump out. Shouts of joy are heard around all the ships. Commander Mike Burchfield stayed silent, but a small smile came across his face.

On the ground, the decimation of the Jimathon troops continued. Burchfield ordered 17 Delphi Dropships to go down to be ready to pick up the Troopers. The surprise attack by the rebels helped the Troopers greatly. As they continued, the Delphis dropped in. They landed, and the Troopers loaded up as quickly as possible. About fifteen Delphis took off to the fleet, leaving the Mechs and MBTs to keep the battle going.

OOC: Dude, you really crossed the line. You're about to get your *** kicked.

IC: As the Arbran troops prepare for debarkation they meet with a rude awakening. 30 wharehouses in the coporate district slowly slide aside, revealing the hidden nose cones of 30 Harbinger Cannons. As two target the incoming dropships the rest aim high and launch a full salvo (a total of 140 gigatons) at the Arbran fleet.
01-10-2003, 01:40
OOC: Yeah, I plan on it. Tired of space, and me and Parthenon just decided to make Arbras last days cool. And did you launch that 140 Gigs at the Delphis?
Klonor
01-10-2003, 01:42
OOC: No, only 10 gigatons at the Delphis (those are the dropships, right?) Two shots at the dropships, the rest (the 140 gigas) were at your fleet in orbit.
Klonor
01-10-2003, 01:44

01-10-2003, 01:58
[What would be the fun in that?]

Four Delphis were hit by the huge blasts, as they stood still for a second. Huge blast craters were located in the rear of the ships, with men falling out. The total losses from the four ships was estimated at 2140. The shots fired towards the upper fleets flew like crazy. The Regork and Kodiac were hit, as pods flew began to fly out. The two ships began to tumble towards the surface of the planet. The Imperator Carrier was hit, as several evacuation ships flew out just seconds after. Another shot hit the Nebulon-G, the only one of its kind in the Arbran Fleet. The Delta immediately called up a hole back to Arbra; the ships took through, headed home.

The Mechs and MBTs kept their fire on the Jimathon forces, who were now dwindling with losses. The Delphis that escaped the horrific fire from the Harbringers exited the atmosphere, and entered the wormhole just before it closed.

The rest of the Arbran dudes died.

At Arbra, the rest of the troops arrived. The Delphis went on and landed. As they were entering the atmosphere, they saw the massive ammount of ships exiting the atmosphere, obviously headed out to give the assistance to the Delta and others. Everyone knew that Klnor was mad, and were headed over to the planet as they spoke. The Defender Cannons, all three of them, were ready to fire on the enemy ships, as all other ships in the Arbran Fleet were headed out to give the Klonor ships everything they had. On the ground, all Troopers and Marines were scrambled, and placed in a huge set of underground bunkers, and the Mechs were all placed in the semi-underground hangars they were always in. Blast doors were all shut, and Watchers watched the skies.

OOC: There are many fighters inside the ships, but I don't feel like listing them
01-10-2003, 22:16
The attack was renown. Of the 12 Regorks at the location, six were totally destroyed. The ships which were firing were verily almost ignored, except by maybe a few of the Revelations, who fired back with their Cadium Torpedoes. At the sight of the Colossus, Commander Mike Burchfield knew they were in for it. He directed all firepower at the huge ship; they were determined to take it out. The Intimidator (capital ship) charged up its Super Ion Cannon, and directed it at the Colossus. The Delta (command ship), a match for the Colossus, began to fire with everything it had- Cadium Torpedoes, Ultra Beam Cannons, Twin Plasma Heavy Pulse Cannons, Particle Beam Cannons, Pulse Laser Turrets, and Fusion Missiles. After just a few seconds of fighting, the first volleys from the Defenders, down on the ground. They were namely targetted at the Collosus. The next volley would come in just minutes. The Albatross (capital ship) moved out in front, to take any of the main damage, as it fired on the enemy Orions. The Leviathan MKII (capital ship also) moved out and began its concentrated fire on the Collosus. The four Heavy Ion Beams burst out of the Leviathan, striking the Collosus [super cannon or whatever you call it]. Out of the back of the fleet, the huge, majestic Kuun-Lan (capital ship) emerged. It charged up its Electric Pulse Disrupter Cannon, and fired it directly at the Collossus, already under Godawful fire. The Kuun-Lan continued to move towards the front of the fleet, slowly but surely, showing no fear in the eyes of a great enemy. Also out of the back, the two Imperator Carriers burst open, nearly 150 Y-86 fighters emerging to go on their mission- to engage enemy fighters . The 12 [i]Hiigaran Gunships moved from the right side of the fleet, and began their deadly barrage to keep the Volition ships at bay. Soon enough, the six Vengeance Assault Frigates moved out to assist the Albatross in its firing on the enemy Orions. [I think I will stop now, my arm is starting to hurt.]

On the other side of the planet, Delphis were loading up with citizens, thousands at a time, and taking off towards Jedi Warriors.

OOC: Man, your ships and guns have much better names than mine. I hate you!

IC: The Colossus, caught between the other Klonor ships with very little maneuvering room, is blasted mid-ship. As the massive firepower from the opposing vessels continues to pore in the armor slowly begins to fail. With a crack almost felt even through the vacuum of space the ship splits in two, drifitng apart.
02-10-2003, 04:14
In awe, Commander Mike Burchfield gazed as the Colossus began to fall apart. The two huge main chunks slowly drifted apart, lights going out everywhere. After just seconds of awe at the massive amount of destroyed debris, the fighting was rearoused. The Defenders on the ground released their second set of volleys, still targeted at the remains of the Collosus. The Albatross, now weak from the constant hits it was taking, simply let everything it had go on the Orion Destroyers. The Kuun-Lan made it up to where the Albatross had been ,and began opening tremoendous fire on the Orions. The Y-86 fighters headed towards the Volition.

[I gotta go now..]

OOC: gotta go meaning for now, or forever?

IC:

The Volition Pirate Ships (I really love that ship. Just look at it and you can't help but laugh), after a brief pause from which the shock took time to wear off, turned to encounter the incoming Y-86 fighters. Forming an old-fashioned staggered line (picture the way the redcoats and colonials line up in most Revolutionary War movies), using the overlaping fields of fire to keep each other clear. As the fighters close in the 400 Flak anti-fighter Cannons (20 on each ship) lock on and launch a crippling volley.

As the Albatross and the Kuun-Lan (where did you get these names?) exhange fire with the Orion Destroyers a small wing of Medusa's sweep out of the lead Destroyers fighter bays. Flaked by a squadron of Ulysses's Interceptors they swoop in and launch their Tsunami bombs at the opposing forces.
02-10-2003, 22:04
[Not forever...]

The 150 Y-86 fighters, caught in the massive onslaught, maneuvered their way around as best as possible. The flak was heavier than lead in alcohol. Eighty of the one fifty burst into flame, several more simply disappearing into the vacuum of space. The other seventy left proceeded, dodging volleys of random flak, and released Photon Torpedoes and Pulse Ion Lasers onto the Command Bridges of the Volitions. However, with such heavy flak, during this process, another eighteen fighters were destroyed. The others, weary, quickly made their way back to the Imperators. On the Albatross and [/i]Kuun-Lan[/i] (they are just random things in my little head, I guess), 15 Mk.5 Interceptors and 40 Acolyte Heavy Fighters hurriedly ran out of the two ships. They engaged the enemy Medusa's and Ullyses'. The Pulse Defense Turrets on the two major ships activated, targetted at the incoming Tsunami bombs. Several hit the sides of the Albatross, but very luckily, the armor and shielding on the Kuun-Lan protected it from the barrages. The Pulse Defense Turrets now targetted the incoming fighters and interceptors, as the Arbran fighters and interceptors began the dogfight. Suddenly, a shot from an Orion hit dead center of the already weakened Albatross, as it split mid-side. The lights on the ship all went out, as it slowly began to fade away. Pods from the ship began to burst from the sides, with people trying to escape the dead ship. Another shot from an Orion put the ships out of its misery, as it exploded in a fireball and huge explosion. The Kuun-Lan proudly stepped up. The 12 Hiigaran Gunships, still firing on the Volitions, kept their fire up. With the tight formation they were in to thwart the fighters, they were making easy targets. The six Vengeance Assault Frigates kept their vicious fire up on the enemy Orions, determined to take them out. The Leviathan MKII, now finished with the decimated Collosus, began to fire its Heavy Ion Beams at the Orion Destroyers, assisting the many other ships. The Delta moved out towards the middle of the fleet, and began to unleash its fury upon the Deimos Corvettes. It opened up with its Pulse Ion Cannons, along with the newer Rankin Photon Missiles, all onto the enemy Deimos Corvettes.

On the other side of the planet, Delphi ships continually loaded civilians to take them to Jedi Warriors. One Mythos, Troopers, Marines, Mechs, and MBTs continued to wait underground for the bombing runs that would begin as soon as the space fleet was destroyed. Little did they know of how well the Arbran Fleet was holding its own.

Little did they know of how well the Arbran Fleet was holding its own.

OOC: Not for long......

IC:

The Volitions, having survived the fighter attacks but now taking fire from the Hiigaran Gunships try to regroup. Unfortunately, being designed as anti-fighter ships they are extremely under-gunned when compared to any capital ship and they were mainly just trying to escape. With a brief flash 13 jump into Sub-Space, leaving seven frozen in space with their trivium sails (used to capture the solar wind for propulsion) aflame and their hulls ruptured.

With the Vengeance Assault Frigates focused on the Orions they are taken by surprise by the upcoming Fenris's, closing in from both above and below (relative to the Frigates) with a blistering crossfire from dozens of Beam Cannons meant to slice the Frigates in half to give the Orions a chance to break out from their close formation.

Unfortunately, even the best made ships can't hold up indefinitely. Three Orions, the focus of the assault by the Frigates and the Leviathan (you bought that from Peguina, right?), slowly begin to break up and drift apart, their hull lights dead and the guns slowly dying.

However, Klonor crewmen don't take the deaths of their Comrades lightly. All seven remaining Orions (with power greater than the Colossus) turn the full force of their anger on the Leaviathan. 35 Beam Cannons, 168 Laser Turrets, and 5 Harbinger warheads all lock onto one point and blast as if they were trying to send the ship straight to hell.
03-10-2003, 02:57
After seeing the Volitions fleeing for their lives, and seeing several simply erupt into death, the Hiigaran Gunships noticed the fierce fighting going on betwixt the Vengeances, Orions, and Fenris', the Gunships turned and began to focus their fire on the Fenris ships. The six Vengeances, caught in between the massive crossfire, with scant hope of survival, simply continued their fire going on the Orions. Suddenly, two burst into flame. The other four were taking serious damage, but kept their repetitive fire up, firing directly onto the Orions. The Kuun-Lan, seeing what was happening, turned its attention to the Fenris'. The Delta, immediately taking its attention away, continued its barrage of high-packed weaponry at the enemy Orions, taking the place of the others. The Leviathan, caught off guard by the enemy shots, broke into three uneven parts, as one end slowly decended towards Mythos. The other two chunks floated around mid-space. Another Heavenly barrage from the Defenders shot up, striking at the Orion Destroyers.

OOC: Sorry, I seem to have forgotten what the Defenders are. They're panetary defense guns, right? You used the Ion Cannon picture from The Empire Strikes Back for them, right?

IC:

As the Hiigaran Gunships turn their fire towards the Fenris's they are, in turn, fired upon by the Leviathans. With the attention of the Hiigaran Gunships fixed squarely onto the Fenris's the Leviathans can drain their countermeasuers and other defensive technologies dry of power, to add that juice into the deadly barrage of Heavy Beam Fire raining down upon the Hiigaran Gunships.

And with the destruction of the Vengeances the Orions are finally free, spreading out to be above, below, and beside the Delta, finally giving it back a piece of their own. Barrage after Barrage of Beam & Laser fire lances towards the ship, pummeling the vessel with all the hate that the Klonorians felt at the Arbrans betrayal.

And suddenly, with a bright blue flash, a Sub-Space portal opens and the Volitions leap right back in system, directly behind the Kuun-Lan and pouring concentrated Laser fire at its rear quarters (13 ships with two Laser Turrets leach gives them a total power of about one Orion)

I didn't mean free as in no longer being shot, I meant free as in physically open. Ships were no longer physically blocking their way, they could now move. And you're right, I forgot to post losses. My bad. I'll do that now.

IC:

*NOTE* this takes place before my previous post

The Hiigaran's took the Fenris's by surprise, disabling the engines of 8 curisers and knocking out the weaponry of 3 more before the Leviathans intervened. As the Heavier ships tok care of the gunships two of the disabled engines went critical, disabling 2 more Fenris's near by.

The Delta, having moved into position, destroyed the bridge of the rearmost Orion, causing to to begin a long, slow orbit around Arbra (I needed to at least keep it intact, I want to have some ships left at the end of this).

As the Orions begin to surround the Delta two shots from the Defenders strike the straboard power core of one, immedietly knocking it out of alignments and causing a small (only about 100 ft. in diameter) but powerful explosion the removed the rest of the engines.

Hey! You didn't even say the Intimidator was there! That is cheap!

IC:

The Fenris's, designed to be quick, have no troubel avoiding the destroyed half of the Hiigaran hurtling towards them. Unfortunately, they weren't quite quick enough to avoid the last volley of torpedos sent from the Vengeances. With a flash and what would have been a bang (but we're in space) the top (relative to the Vengeances) Fenris's all go "Bye-Bye". Fortunately, the bottom Fenris's are undamaged (at least by this volley) and they head out towards the front of the Kuun-Lan, using their massed Beam Fire & Laser fire to drive it backwards towards the Volitions who are reflecting the Hydrogen particles back at it, concentrating them to such a small center that they form quite a little "death beam".

As the armor of the Orion's absorbs the attacks from the Delta they each prep one last Harbinger and focus them on the Ion Barrage Cannons, hoping to take out the guns and the ship all at once.

As the low-lying Intimidator moves forward to destroy the Orions with it's Super Ion Cannon the Dreadnoughts swoop in from all sides and abosrb the blow on their shields, each blowing a generator but bringing up the backups in time to prevent any further damage. While the Super Ion Cannon recharges (I hope) the Dreadnoughts use their PBC's to (hopefully) put the Intimidator out of comission.

OOC: You did? Huh. I guess I just forgot that.

IC:

As the Pulse Formation Barrages smash into the Dreadnoughts three ships have their Ring Cores rupture and vanish in a small puff, but the rest move into a closer formation and use their overlapping shields to reinforce each other and prevent anything more than superficial damage.

The Fenris's fighting the Kuun-Lan, relatively undamaged up to then, begin taking hits from the Particle Beams. Fortunately, their electronic countermeasures (which the Fenris's have in excess) were enough to prevent the majority of the Photon/Ion Torpedoes from hitting.

Behind the Kuun-Lan the Volitions were fighting a battle more to their liking. As the hundreds of Arbran fighters swarm in their Flak Cannons open up, launching thousand of shots at the attackers, dozens of Flak shots targeted at each ship.

However, they had not completely forgotten the larger ship towars their bow. While their Flak guns kept up fire on the fighters their Laser turrets kept up fire on the rear of the Kuun-Lan, keeping it trapped between them and Fenris's.

Finally, as the Arbran reserve ships move in to take out the Dreadnoughts they are met front on by the Leviathans. With barely a plit second difference between the ships they all unleash the full fury of their Heavy Beam Cannons, supplemented by the slightly smaller fury of the regular Beam Cannons. What a light show those guns put on.

People do this constantly for multiple reasons. One reason being that they have a specific RP planned out with another nation (maybe a small war, or a negotiation, or a marriage, etc.) and it doesn't involve other nations. Another reason being that to many nations would make the RP unfun and idiotic (that's why I put the limit on). One more reason is that maybe they just don't like someone and don't want them in their RP.

Guess what, the third reason now applies. Get the hell off my thread before I report you to the mods.

OOC: You can still shoot at the Orions, don't feel you have to completely abandon any attack on them

IC:

As the Kuun-Lan begins to lay into the Fenris's a large objects seems to slide out of nowhere. An Orion Destroyer, the GDD Galatea, positions itself between the Kuun-Lan and the smaller vessels. Shielding them from the brunt of that attack (although not from the Defenders) it still allows the Fenris's to fire above and below, while adding its own massive artillary to the fray.

The Fenris's, while now shielded from the Kuun-Lan, are still open to the massive shots from the Defenders. As they wheel around to better position themselves for attack against the Kuun-Lan three Fenris's are struck mid-ship by the massive cannons. One, merely damaged by the attack, quickly slides back behind the Galatea, under cover now from both the Defenders and the Kuun-Lan (but now also unable to attack the Kuun-Lan). The other two, struck with more direct shots, pop like punctured balloons. Their shatttered huls slowly begin to drop down through the atmosphere, heading for two main population centers.

Behind the pitched batle raging at the bow of the ship is another struggle of equal proportions. The two Intimidators, destroying Volition after Volition (4 down so far), are suddenly set upon by the now unoccupied Orions. Two swoop (as much as any such massive ship can) in at each half, giving them each of little bit of what makes the Orion the pride of the Klonor navy. Beam Cannons, Laser turrets, and Harbinger Warheads flash through space to detonate against shields and open hull in a fireworks display to rival any in existence.

Meanwhile, the fighter squadrons stationed in the fighter bays had not been idle. Whilst the massive ships slugged it out with each other, they had been secretly forming up and preparing, with dozens of Valkyries and Ulysses guarding every Athena bomber. Suddenly, as if on cue, they all dive straight for the atmosphere, targeting the three seperate powerful Defender cannons, hoping to take them out once and for all. They split off and head after their individual targets.

Okay, I still think it's a bit much to launch 28 three gigaton explosives at one ship (there's no way in hell that the Orion, or any ship, could survive that) but at least they're less than 13 gigatons

IC:

The GDD Galatea takes the Neutron Fusion Missles full in the side and is enveloped in one giant, roiling ball of flame and radioactive destruction. As the explosion fades away all that is left of the Orion is a few scraps of metal and some twisted mechanics tools.

With the destruction of the Galatea (Flagship of the 2'nd fleet) the Fenris's come back with renewed force. Each launching their sole Harbinger they target their Beams at a single point, hoping to blast a hole for their warheads to enter and tear the ship apart from the inside.

Near the Kuun-Lan a combined for of 4 Orions and 7 Deimos Corvettes begin pinpoint destruction of the Intimidators weapons and external systems, hoping to take out its offensive capabilities so they can destroy it at their leisure. Suddenly, with the re-appearance of Delat, their starategy must take a brief detour.

As the Delta barges forward, all guns blazing and pounding into the armor of the Orions, a freakishly huge Sub-Space node opens up right behind it and the 20 J'Adorien Destroyers, kept in reserve for this very occurance, burst into normal space and fire their Heavy Partical Lasers at point-blank range at the Delta's rear.

As the Delta began to fire upon the Volitions the Dreadnoughts swoop up (is it just me, or do my ships do a lot of swooping?) and cover them with their reinforced shields. As they continue to get pounded they add their fire to the shots going at the Delta forcing it to divide its shields.

OOC: WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! I think this is the first time I have ever won a large scale space battle. YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!

IC:

As the Kuun-Lan erupts in flame and death the Fenris's dart backwards to avoid the shockwave. As the explosion fades away they move forward (minus three damaged in the explosion) to add their fire to that already pounding on the Delta

The Intimidator's barrage, it's final barrage, catch the rear of a pair of Deimos corvettes that had come to close. As their mini-Ministars erupt the explosion disables another one nearby.

Finally, the entire Klonor fleet turns its eyes towards the Delta just in time to see three objects launch from its side and the entire ship drop towards the planet.

The lone warhead launched towards the J'Adorien Destroyer moves closer, detonating right in the middle of the Destroyer formation. Four ships, caught in the explosion, sprial out of control and smash into neighboring ships, leaving eight Destroyers out of comission. The two launched towards the oriond meet with less success. Seeing the oncoming threat, 2 Volitions swoop (again with the swooping) up and catch the missles. The explosion, almost reaching a Harbinger warhead in power, is caught and reflected by the solar sails, sent harmlessly out into space as the crushed hulls of the ships tumble down towards the planet, accompanying the Delta on it's final plunge.

The Elysiums and Apollos burt through the cloud cover withing 1 mile of their touch0down sites. Taking heavy fire they set down and the Marines and technians leap out, the former setting up a perimeter while the latter begin to construct the phase-gates that would be the stepping stones for the main Klonor invasion force

OOC: The Marines are set up in a circle around the landed transports. There are relatively few of them, but they are armed with powerful, fast firing, long distance weapons (I love those guns). The Apollos are still in the air, ready to provide fire support once the Arbrans show themselves.

There's also a slot on the bottom capable of being fitted with either a shotgun, high powered rifle, or grenade launcher (depending on the mission). And even though it looks cumbersome and heavy it is actually quite lightweight due to recent discoveries in synthetic materials.
