OOC: Short post - longer one to follow - I'm on a v e r y s l o w connection from somewhere in Serbia, and doing this post on my SE P800 ... LOL to all.

IC:

AM is heartened to discover that in its absence from the field the ANZAC Alliance has prevailed, and thrown the war-mongering bugs back into the sea ...

However, we are strongly in favour of reconciliation, and notwithstanding the use of WMDs (which we naturally condemn - on both sides!!), AM wishes to profer the hand of friendship to TPA and its collective allies. We would not wish to be seen to be holding any grudge, and would be delighted to engage in philosophical discussion with TPA and its allies with a view to promoting greater understanding between the peoples of the collectives, and the peoples who believe in democracy and freedom of the individual. We should also be delighted to assist with the reconstruction of TPA to the extent that TPA would wish our assistance.

In the meantime, the government of AM has announced a national holiday - Monday to Friday next week - for celebrations of the end of the conflict.

NOTE that this is not a victory celebration - this is a celebration of the end of the conflict, and to this end all ANZAC nations and allies, as well as TPA and its allies, are formally invited to attend.

Oh, BTW, its BYO (for non-ANZACs - bring your own bottle) - we'll provide the barbies and the beach, and maybe even a few amenable sheilas, but the budget will not - repeat not - stretch to buying all the booze we're sure this will require .. !!

OOC: thread to follow on Monday ...
