"This is the stage we have had set for us here at the Marist 4th District High School. Somewhere in the range of thrity to fifty men, all claiming to be terrorists working on the behalf of 'the enemy' although they won't tell the authorities here who exactly that is. They are holding hostage all 106 classrooms, each with about 15 children in them. No reports of firing have been heard and to tell you the truth Darren, we don't see any organized effort here. They are still in the negoitiating process.

This what we know, just to recap: Up to fifty men, all claiming to be working for a terrorist organization have taken over 1500 children hostage and they are threatening to blow up the building. Authorites are not talking to us yet, and we will get the details to you as soon as possible, Darren..."

The Department of Foreign Affairs caught the story, and was in total shock. Elizabeth Washington, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, has sent the following message to Pilot:

To the nation of Pilot:

We are deeply concerned about the ongoing situation, and we will provide all that we can. Is there any possible way to track down the roots of the terrorists, or what country is harboring them? We will voluntarily commit an airstrike on the guilty if enough evidence is given.
In the meanwhile, we will be sending 150 troops with 20 M1A2 Abrams tanks to secure the perimeter around the school. We await your permission..

I will send the CTRU to the school. They are a highly trained counter terrorism unit.

The Foreign Affairs Minister send a message to the nation of pilot.
"Our country and our region is completely against any forms of traitors. On your word, 10 UK SAS troops will cross the border and infiltrate the school secretly and extract all hostages. We ask you NOT to give into these traitors, this disgusting behaviour against your government should not be taken lightly. The Realms of the Darkness is also completely for forging an alliance with Pilot to fight terrorism and traitorism wherever it may strike. I await your response to my alliance proposal; a telegram will be preferred."

OOC: If you want, I could have a couple of my nation's citizens be part of the terrorists. What is the cause, exactly? About 98% of my population are Right leaning capitalist Catholics, so I need to know before I commit.

If we do not see concrete evidence that this is taking place within six hours, we will execute a hostage. We will continue to execute a hostage every hour until our demands are met. Beyond that, we want safe passage, along with ten of the children to the airport. On reaching the airport, we want an aircraft without aircrew capable of taking us wherever we wish to fly it. If you attempt to enter, they will become the world's biggest Claymore mines, and moments later we will destroy the school as well." With a smirk, One hung up on the negotiator.

Nothing happens in a vacuum, especially not on the international scale. The attempt to end Marcell's crusade against heterosexuals had caused ripples throughout the world, and now Pilot, though quite uninvolved, was feeling the consequences. Fifty men, unconnected to that rogue government, had seized a school in an attempt to further the Marcellian goals. They were fanatics with a point to prove, and the children were simply caught in the middle.

OOC: Marcell's the one who declared war on the entire world, and was going to exterminate all heterosexuals in retaliation for crimes against homosexuals. I'm one of the nations fighting against him, and I thought it would be kind of cool to tie the two together.

"I think they're serious, sir. All the sweeps we can detect on the buildings say that they have the building rigged with explosions. Setting them all off would destroy the entire building. Terrorism teams wouldn't work... these people are willing to die for this, they'll just blow it up. I don't know to do... let's drag in some of the CIA guys here. The White House has to be interested in foriegn terrorists capturing fifteen hundred kids."

"We are getting it fueled and ready. It takes a while to attach... sir, they could be listening to this."

"You're right. You give updates to the Secure Phone-2, they can't intercept that. I want to know how the process is going. These people are going to be much more patient with me if I'm not giving them anything.

"Call into the building, tell them we are working on the diplomatic channels... it's getting late, see if they will allow us to send food for the entire building into it. Say it's just keeping the children healthy."

The Police Chief walked off and Shel headed back to the Command Truck. It was there where he could check the SP-2.

I don't agree with this attack I mean there just Kids. Which is proberly why they chose to attack them.

The leader lifted the phone to his ear. "This is One." he said, looking out over the school gymnasium where the students huddled, clinging to one another in fear. "They do not listen?" he sneered. "Make them listen, or else the deaths of these children will be on their heads. Should we not have results within our timeline, then people will begin to die." he paused, listening. "No. You must think me stupid! No food. Not from you. You think we will order valium-laced pizza, or that we will admit one of your assassins to the building? No!" And the phone slammed back down on the cradle. Glancing to his men, he cradled his AK-74 in his arms.

"Rations!" he ordered, watching as his men broke out the surplus field rations they had brought with them. "We want to keep our strength up in case they dare storm this place."

Meanwhile, at the doors to the school, a lethal surprised awaited the counterterrorists. Rather than electronic detonators, the entire mechanism was either mechanical or chemical, leaving nothing for the EMP to bite on. Rigged to go off should the doors be opened, they operated in two stages, less than a second apart. The first would blow the hinges. The second would blast the heavy metal doors outwards into the unfortunates, likely killing the breach team and alerting the terrorists prematurely. While it would definately be possible to disarm the charges, the doors were quite likely out as a point of entry. It would probably be a good idea to seek alternate points of entry. Whoever had set up this attack, they weren't simple crazies with assault weapons. They had some form of training...

One crouched down next to Two. Leaning over, the second-in-command made his worries known. "The windows... I worry about the windows. If I were coming in to get these people out, this is where I would go. There are simply too many to be defended."

"Keep your voice down. There are only three entrances to the gymnasium. Two are barricaded, the third we will leave open in case we must leave in a hurry." he smiled. "Our objectives will be accomplished. Have faith, my friend."

"How do you suppose we do this? They got the doors rigged. Wesley says we don't know enough about the charges themselves to carry on with the EMP attack. Commanders said that the blast might cause the Bogey's to start shooting the kids. We obviously can't have that. Thankfully, it's a school so there are alot more points on entry. Sound-proof vents, windows, sanitation systems... we can stop those and have a team clear them out..."

"What do you think would be the best way to get it? We are looking for the surprise here, of course. I don't think there would be much surprise left in it once we blow off the windows. They'd pretty much know what's coming for them. They sound trained too, so they might be looking toward the windows..."

"They've already told us how many men they have. The school has over five-hundred windows... they can't guard them all at once."

"The blast, they'll hear it. And we have news crews surrounding the damn building, it won't be any surprise. All this fucking school funding, television sets mounted in every classroom. The principle is telling us in the auditorium and the gynasium both have four in them. We need to be absolutely quiet. Tell me about these sound-proof vents."

"Another product of too much school funding. They sound proofed the vents so heating and air conditioning would make noise to disrupt the classrooms... pretty wide too. We can fit teams in there. They can't say exactly how much weight it can hold, but they are all saying it can hold a good 400 pounds for each section. We have the maps of the ducts themselves. It's absolutely quiet. Providing that no one sneezes or cough...that will echo throughout the entire system... we can capture them in total surprise when our mission men drop in and drop the motherfuckers."

"Well, we can't go through the windows, and I'm not having my guys walk through shit and get bogged down in the sewers. Unless you got some other brilliant ideas, we'll start drawing up the missions plans for the air vents. Bring those plans over here, and pull the rest of your team together. We want to get this done before they start shooting people... then we won't be able to do anything but blast the windows and shoot whoever we can."

"Got ya. I'll give the call down to Wesley to tell them that we got a plan brewing up. I think it's a bit quick to tell the chiefs here. I really can't assume that they would keep their mouths shut when they start moving back from the building. God forbid you have to ask the locals to stay away from the fucking cameras. And we'll have one of our officers direct the press in the other way when and if we execute."

"Good, get going on that. It's night, they are humans, correct? They have to be getting tired. Think three or four AM."

One was beginning to get twitchy, nervous. It was creeping past two in the morning, and still they had heard nothing. Soon, they would have to start shooting people, and he knew from his training that it was then that things began to get truly dangerous. The pressure would be on the site commander to go in once they started killing hostages. Perhaps when the time comes, he should get on the phone and bluster, curse, and swear, and then allow himself to be "calmed"... But no. They would never take his demands seriously then.

He looked around at his men. They seemed as nervous as he was, even though he hid it better. The "Go" pills they had been popping to keep awake couldn't be helping that in any way. They were conscious, but... Silently, One prayed that he had trained them well enough, that they would know what to do when the time came. If they could repulse the counter-terror team, then they would gain a whole new level of respect. And fear. he thought to himself. If we are to accomplish anything, they must fear us.

She crept through the shadows, staying low as she snuck up towards the school. It hadn't taken her much to get past the cordon, just a whispered word to a plainclothesman about what the pictures she'd snapped of him and a prostitute would do to his career, let alone his marriage. After a quick exchange, she was through the cordon, and sneaking up towards the back of the school as best as she could without any formal military training. Nonetheless, she was pretty good. She played paintball outdoors in the woods on a regular basis, and several stinging welts had taught her some hard lessons about stealth.
