In Liberia, at 7:00 pm RL.Very well. We shall meet at Monrovia, Liberia. An ambassador has been sent and will arrive in roughly eight hours. Lay down your arms and disband the military force in Liberia until then. A small fighter escort will escort the ambassador's jetliner.

IC: The small jet cruised silently through the night sky, except for the occasional humming of the engine. To the right were four F-22 Raptors and four F-22's cruised next to the ambassador's jet on the left side.

"Landing time, Monrovia: ETA - 15 minutes. This is the New Genoese Emissary Flight, requesting landing coordinates to air traffic control," spoke thus the pilot into his radio transmitter.

ATC:Clear to land.

OOC: Yes, I'm in the UNAOTO.

The special forces insertion through Sierra Leone had gone perfectly, the 3 12 man teams moving in around Monrovia to monitor the Brydog withdrawal. They heard the transmissions on their radios, and knew the New Genoese flight was coming near.

The C/V-12 Pegasus landed uneventfully at the Monrovia Airport, as the ambassador and 12 Marines waited for the other negotiators.

Mr.Carson walks to them. "Hello, I'm Jeff Carson. I repesent Brydog."

The ambassador signals for the heavily armed and powersuited marines to back off, and comes over to shake Carson's hand.
"Richard Heinkel, from New Empire."

The green and white jet landed softly on the ground and the doors unfolded serenely. A short bald man, wearing a suit and glasses, stepped out. Six Marines followed. He walked towards the Brydog representative and spoke thus, "Hello, Mr. Carson, I'm Hans Achtung, I'll be representing New Genoa in these meetings. I am hoping that forces have laid down their arms as instructed?"

"Splendid," replied Hans. He turned and noticing the New Empirian diplomat walked over and shook his hand also. "Hans Achtung, New Genoa. Yourself?"

The crowd, mostly teenagers and 20-30 year old men, was getting restless. They began advancing on the airport, waving Liberian flags, and screaming insults at the diplomats.

Brydog soldiers in riot gear start attacking the protesters.

"HALT YOUR ACTIONS, BRYDOG!" exclaimed Hans Achtung. "These protesters pose NO threat to you. They are protesting. You agreed to lay down your weapons. That truce has been broken. Either cease the attack on the innocent protesters or be annilated."

The six Marines aimed their rifles at the attacking Brydog troops, ready to fire on order.

The marines, still with their weapons at their shoulders, kept escorting the truck.

Many of the mob members pulled out AKs and M-16 based weapons, and did not fire, choosing to play a deadly game of chicken with the Brydog troops.

Now with Brydog's troops standing down, the Marines, noticing the rousing mob, kept a watchful eye as the Liberians displayed assault weapons. Achtung spoke thus to the Brydog troops, "Do not attack any protesters, unless you are attacked. Do not mow down civilians in the event of the attack. Attempt to gun down the firebrands. Remember this is only if shots ring out. Oh, Carson, how much longer until we reach the embassy?"

The warlord smiled, and got into the BMP-2, along with 2 BTR-80s, and 5 heavily armed technicals, and 100 militia members. He already knew which routes the diplomats would take, and set up a roadblock. He waited for the truck to come.

A group of M-1 tanks join the the group.
Cason: here almost there but this is a dangerous area.

The mob raised AKs loaded with blanks, and fired them into the air, and threw rocks at the truck and tanks. The militiamen at the blockade loaded Kornet E missiles, easily capable of killing an Abrams tank.

What should we do.

"Alright, NE and NG Marines, we're going to need to split up! There's eighteen of us and a crapload of them. Nine men on each side of the convoy. Keep your weapons loaded and ready. We're almost there!"

The Sergeant spoke thus, "We are here to help you. We have desposed of the 'imperialists, meetings are to be held at the embassy. Do NOT open fire."

The 12 men with Kornet Es are being sheilded by 2 or three people, and numerous others have their weapons trained on the people in the truck.

Carson looks at the warload. "Shut up and move."

The warlord smirked, and snapped his fingers. The sniper with the 7.62mm Accuracy International AE had already lined up his shot on Carson's head, and fired.

Shot hits him and the warlord is hit by a Brydog sniper. The soldiers start firing at the warlord's forces.

IC-The warlord curses as he hears a shot crack past him, and yells at the crew of the BTR. The 14.5mm machine gun swivels toward the truck, and begins firing, as the BMP-2s 30mm Autocannon joins in as well. The 12 Kornet Es are launched, (OOC2- They can kill Abrams, they're top attack missiles, and they won't miss, because the Abrams has no missile defense.). The ambassador leaps out of the truck, and pulls the Glock 20 10mm he had brought along just for an incident like this.
