The areas of Attica City affected by the nuclear blasts are immense. Cleanup has begun of debris so we may begin the deradiazation process.

Our facilities should be able to handle it. Radiation decontamination will commence after debris is removed. We plan on using carbon isotopes to attract rogue neutrons from the irradiated material.

We can't do anything about alpha and beta particles yet. Basically, we are removing the 'bang' from the radioactive substances. The Carbon plates that it uses need to be replaced every 6 hours. You see, we use neutron guns to blast neutrons out of the carbon atoms. The plates take some time to manufacture. The Carbon isotope has an Atomic Mass of 8, instead of the standard 12, meaning it is radioactive somewhat. It absorbs stray neutrons, and can lend an attractive pull, helping remove radiation. Once it fills (IE, gets to an Atomic Mass of 12, or higher), it is disposed of.

But isn't there supposed to be some sort catalyst or special circumstances for the attraction? I don't think it works by just sticking out the plate, or does it?
Radioactive substances emit neutrons. The plates absorb them. We rely on atomic forces.

With the radiation in the industrial sector cleared, the deradiazation teams move on to the residential district. In the industrial area, new factories, high tech, are being built. Half will be for military purposes, half will be for commercial.
