The Drop Pod 2.0
Big enough to fit one person in, the Drop Pod 2.0 is a huge upgrade from the DP1. Now in an anti-radar green color, the DP2 is overall, harder to detect than the shiny gold DP1. Anything can be put in it, people... animals... explosives, ect. It can land in water when being dropped from altitudes of 10,000 feet or under, safely, then float back to the surface. Any altitude above that, or when dropping on land (If you want the thing inside to live, or depending if you're using explosives or not), requires a parachute to keep the G-Forces in an acceptable range. This version also has the option of a shiny new confortable seat to sit in!

Outer Radius: 10ft
Inner Radius: 7ft
Construction: 1.5" Steel Inner Construction, .5" Kevlar, 1" Foam Padding
Cost: $30,000 USD Each (Re-Usable)
Parachute: $500 Each (Re-Usable)
Reverse-Engineering: NO! YOU WILL BE CHARGED IF I FIND YOU REVERSE ENGINEERING!

Edit: Window added.

*gasp* You have a mild understanding of physics now!

Only one problem though: green paint won't make it invisible to radar.
25-09-2003, 20:43
LOL!!! It's anti-radar/absorbing paint... you can get it in multiple colors :P.

25-09-2003, 20:45
Ah, so what's in the paint that makes it anti-radar?
25-09-2003, 20:46
Its small enough to be anti radar anyway.
25-09-2003, 20:52
Heh, thank you FC.

Benderland, you do know what Radar is, don't you?

Forget it. You're not understanding my question.

Forget it. You're not understanding my question.

Yes, I am understanding it. But, tell me, do you know what radar is?

I really don't have to dignify that with an answer, but I am anways just to hear what you have to say.

It's a method of detecting an object using high-frequency radio waves. If the waves come back, bingo! You found something! If they don't, nothing's there. However, just because you painted it green doesn't merit it as anti-radar technology.
25-09-2003, 21:47
I DIDN'T SAY JUST BECAUSE I PAINTED IT GREEN IT WAS ANTI-RADAR! I said it was coated with a green anti-radar paint. THAT COUNTS AS GREEN PAINT THAT HAS ANTI-RADAR PROPERTIES!

Lead makes paint radar proof

And very heavy. And very toxic.

Oh c'moon, bitching about someone having an anti-radar one man drop pod with green paint doesnt really have a point in it. There are atleast 10 stealth things in a week announced/presented and the creator rarely knows how is the thing made stealthy.

Anyways, nice idea Xaser. I can figure that thing working very well for inserting covert ops teams etc.

DROP POD? CALL THAT A DROP POD? IF IT DOSN'T DROP A FULL SQUAD OF MARINES WITH FULL EQUIPMENT ITS NOT A DROP POD IT'S AN EMBARRASMENT!!!!!!!!

We happen to have at our disposal (and to the right people at the right price) Imperial drop pods with retro rockets capable of dropping from high orbit 1 full space marine squad (equates to 15 fully equipped normal soldiers). Each pod has full guidance and adamantium armour plate proof against all weapons in the 15th to 23rd century time frames..... obviously anyone interested in such kit must make a suitable bid........ offers please?

Reserve price starts at $750,000 dollars ovno

Good for you, but this isn't your thread. This is meant more for an emergency eject pod, andways, or to get some special ops in.

(and to drop new clear waste on NYC)
