***WARNING*** Flash Press Release ***WARNING***
Medical Services in the industrial zones near Xhtmelia have reported massive casualties in several of the autonomous ore processing facilities. These are self-sufficient and fully contained living, working, and production areas that operate independently of the Uroburos Mineral Syndicate.
On closer investigation by MERT (Medical Emergency Response Team) members, the data is as follows. Total incubation period appears to be less than 6 hours. After that the carrier progresses to a sort of cellular degredation within about 48 hours. Lethality estimates are between 98-100%. Out of app. 6000 workers in one of the processing facilities, only 6 have survived, all in near death status.
Chances are that this disease will run it's course too quickly to spread. Our government has closed all access in or out of Uroburos, and has dispatched it's USG/SOG operatives to set up a perimeter around Xhtmelia and to shoot on site anyone trying to leave the city.
We ask for complete respect and cooperation of any nations that may have citizens within our borders at this time. Our soldiers are trained to the highest of levels, and you can be assured, that anyone who is neutralized was actively going against set behavior rules for emergencys. There is a hotline open to our government headquarters and to our ODC (Organization for Disease Control). We will make every attempt to get you near real time news on your loved ones. We urge you, if you are in contact with them at this time, instruct them to cooperate fully with our forces as they work to contain this horrific disease. We desire no ill will with other nations, but we cannot afford, for our own sake, and indeed, for the sake of every neighboring country to have this virus released from it's current, and relatively contained environment.
We ask for everyones thoughts and support while we work to overcome this challenge.
