(( T-gram one of the Alliances to join, the current is
Allies - Sword and Sheild, Canadian Princes, Padmasa, Swirhirr, Five Civilized Nations
Island Power - The Isle of Tortuga ))

Several Allied Naval fleets have set sail, along with the III Army Corps (70,000 troops), II Marine Corps (80,000 troops), IV Marine Corps (80,000 troops) and I Army Corp (90,000 troops) are heading towards their targets. This is the preperations for the invasion of one of our enemies who has recently pushed us too far in attacking our oil shipping.

Here is the ANS Wasp one of our Marine LHD's in the open waters heading for Tortuga.

I meant 5 years from modern day

OOC: I know, the three trillion part refered to my space fleet and I've spent this time trying to figure out how to tell you that in that case, my army just became a bunch of really really organized guys standing on the shores of Eigo in my standard leather uniform with swords and crossbows, and not sound like a whiney little N00B. Hmmmmmmm... that worked. Yeah, I arm my men with swords crossbows and a whole lot of future tech. Now if only I had accounted for the modern times I'd be fine.

IC: I ask my allies to please help transport my men... drasticly under-armed as they are I will still attack, though my general and his elite men will not be coming. :D If not I will simply begin construction of longboats, we hope to arrive in about two years.

The Allied Air Force and Allied Navy have begun preliminary bombing missions over the Isle of Tortuga. The fleets I sent were the Formosa Battlegroup, the 1st Carrier Group, the 18th Carrier Group, the 5th Escort Carrier Group, the 13th Escort Carrier Group, 15th Naval Detachment, 4th Anti-submarine Naval Squadron, 2nd Minesweeper Group, 7th Naval Squadron, 24th Naval Squadron, 2nd Marine Fleet, 1st Marine Fleet, 8th Marine Fleet, and 20th Transport Flotilla.

B-1B Lancers have taken off from Allied States Air bases on the Allied States and are bombing the Tortuga-Port Royal Maglev line, and have also been noticed seriously bombing the areas around the Regus Air Force base.

About 230 Fighter planes are on a rotating patrol of about 60 planes in the air at every time to ensure Air Supremacy, and the Naval Air Arm has begun to launch strikes to eliminate the air bases.

The Naval Air Arm is about 385 Planes and Fixed wing aircraft strong, not counting the Marine Air Arm. It's central command is on the carrier ANS Ark Royal and is made up of about 136 F/A18F Superhornets, 104 F-14 Tomcats, 46 Vikings. The rest are ASW or Fixed wing, plus a complement of about 20 AV-8B Harrier II's.

These planes are either flying Air Supremacy missions or on strike missions aimed directly at the hangars and runways of Regus AFB and Bofors AFB. The Kirov's, Ticonderoga's, and MKDII Missile subs are preparing to launch missile strikes on inland targets including forts in the Port Royal area, and the nearest supply depot to it.

Also several large formations of Paratroopers have been spotted loading onto transports at the Formosa Air Force Base in the Allied States.
24-09-2003, 23:42
The Tortugan Air Force has suffered severe damage, our AA and SAM network has fired at anything it sees moving but munitions still make it through, Regus Air Force Bases' defenses have been hit hard. The outer defense lines are having trouble being re-supplied and the base proper is in ruins. The Maglev line has been seriously damaged but the railroad network is still operational, we are sending 200,000 soldiers to reenforce Regus and Nothern Command from Southern Command.

Losses:
24 Tanks
192 Aircraft
44 Helicopters
294 AA systems
45 SAM systems
43 Ships
4,650 soldiers
11,540 wounded

The 1st Marine Fleet has taken up a bombardment position 30 miles up the coast from the city of Port Royal and are currently bombarding the beach while fighters from the 13th Escort Carrier Group (2 Athena class AC's) are patrolling the skies about and lending assistance where required.

About 16 Miles south of Port Royal (Beachhead 2) the 2nd and 8th Marine fleets are bombarding the coastline while the 5th Escort Carrier group (3 Athena-class AC's) supports that particular landing. The Wasp class LHD's at both of these locations are fueling their Cobras and Harriers to support the troops, which are loading onto the AAV's inside the hull of the Wasps, the 2nd and 8th Marine fleets combined feild 5 Wasps and 1 Raptor (A Wasp with several upgrades) while the 1st Marine Fleet features 2 Wasps. The first wave for Beach head 1 is about 450 Marines with the AAV's which will soon withdraw half the AAV's to transport the rest of the marines to bring the total up to 4,000 Marines until the Army barges begin unloading Army soldiers (40,000 within the week, including 400 Armored Vehicles, 2,300 APC's, 6,000 Supply Vehicles, 5,000 Peices of Artillery) to push to Port Royal.

Beach Head 2 will be hit by 2,000 Marines in the first wave, and a repeat process with the AAV's until the total of Marines comes to 10,000 with about 200 Armor, once again to establish the beach head until the Army barges land and send out an additional 80,000 troops, 560 Armored Vehicles, 3,500 APC's, 3,000 peices of Artillery, and 15,000 supply vehicles supported by the Carrier groups to in a pincer movement, take Port Royal.

The Bombardments are beginning now and are aimed at dispersing the Tortugan defenses, the aircraft will support the landing and ensure Air Supremacy.

Current Losses:
1 Cruiser damaged, force home for repairs
1 Wasp lightly damaged, not participating in invasion
43 Aircraft lost (Only 4 Strategic Bombers)
234 men lost
340 wounded

On the fields of Inclirk Air Force base a flight of some 20 odd SU-25's spread themselves out. One by one they launched themselves into the sky heading for the South. The Air force base had been one of the few not devestated by the Allied bombing campaign, no Canadian bombers had been sighted.

The SU-25's were armed with Exocet and Silkworm missiles, and heading straight over Port Royal, past the major areas swarming with Allied fighters to hit the Allied Carrier Ark Royal and Allied Carrier Illustrious operating in the Borrea Sea.

After about half an hour of flight they finally passed over Port Royal, they had nearly been targeted by the cities meager AA and SAM's, the crews down there were on edge. The SU-25's came around the final bend and leveled their course, the Allied ships would be tracking them and fighters inbound, if these missiles were to work it would have to be fast.

Still after awhile no fighters or missiles inbound, they must have caught the Carrier group off gaurd somehow. They continued forward, then the fighters started coming, three frogfoots were lost immediately and the others were dropping fast. Lt. Archer waited for his sighting to click red, indicating he had a lock, then fired 2 silkworm missiles at the largest targets he could find, shortly after his plane was consumed by fire, 6 Exocets and 3 silkworms had gotten off.

Currently if you would like to support the ground invasion Telegram Padmasa to ask if he needs help, the Southern Force (Led by Canadian) and the Northern Force (Me) are already overwhelming him, Padmasa might use the help. As for the F/A-18's and the watercraft, if you can ship them over by all means do, add in with our attacks nuetralizing his air force and air defenses.

On board the ANS Formosa Admiral Hart watched in horror as flames jetted out of the carrier Ark Royal. A little over an hour ago picket fighters had intercepted the previously unknown fighters inbound and jumped on them, however some missiles had gotten off. The Monumental failure of the AEGIS systems is still unknown but picket destroyers are now being used.

The ANS Illustrious, the other carrier, had used it's CIWS Phalanx guns to down the two missiles coming at it, but the Ark Royal had been experiencing problems with replacement parts, and only one missile had gone down. Two Exocets got through however, one slamming straight through her superstructure, the other grazing along her deck before it finally hit something enough to explode, ripping a hole through her flight deck. The fires' on the Ark Royal were contained now, but she was useless for air operations and would have to return back to Formosa to be repaired.

Hart had ordered the Canadians to begun pounding that Air Force Base but so far nothing had come of it. But in the meantime the beac assaults had been going well, the two beachheads established and the units preparing to encircle Port Royal. With that in their hands nothing could stop their tide.

Prime Minister Ravion stood on the podium of the Tortugan Royal Palace, shouting words of support for the Tortugan people. The Canadian Fleet had stood outside the port isolating it for sometime. He told them to stand tall, the Allies could not hope to take the Tortugan people down, he told them to work together, if they were all united there could be no possible way the Allies could get every one of them. He told them to exercise patriotism anywhere they could, and spread it to neighbors, the Allies could not defeat the Tortugan spirit.

The crowd jumped into massive cheers as he bowed and went back into the Royal Palace. The Royal family had fled the Capitol for Inclirck Air Force Base, which he guessed was not the safest place, the Frogfoots that had attacked the Allied Carrier Group had launched from there. As he was walking with his advisors down the Grand Promenade a soldier came running up to him.

"Sir....." He was out of breath. "Sir, message from General Actung in Port Royal." The soldier handed him a peice of paper, scribbled on it was a copy of a message from Port Royal, it read simply: Allies land, overwhelmed, Port Royal untenable, declared open city, retreating to join with Mountain Command.

He passed the message around, "Well what do we tell the people, our second largest city fell without so much as a token defense"

One of his aides, "Sir, the loss of Port Royal is a blow, but with those forces joining Mountain Command the Allies cannot hope to break a line that strong in our Northern Mountains. With the more concentrated AA and the loss of one of thier Fleet Carriers I assume they will not risk their aircraft so easily."

"Yes sir, I concur, the Allies cannot hope to breakthrough our reenforced Mountain Line so soon"

General Yamak "I believe you are both forgetting the Cassara Pass, if they can take that road they can simply bypass our mountains and flank them, we have to weaken our lines somewhere else for a short time to mount a massive battle to blunt thier assault there, they must be heading for it as it is the only viable option through the Mountains."

"Yes, if we can blunt thier assault there, they should start digging in awaiting the Southern Front to begin"

The Prime Minister turned to General Biso, the commander of the Southern Defenses, "You can hold the enemy off down here correct, if I am to weaken our Central Command you will have no large viable reserves"

Biso straightened, "Yes sir, we can hold our own against the Canadians"

"Very good to hear, soldier..." He wrote a message on the back of the peice of paper, signed it, and handed it to him folded. "Send this to Central Command, and Mountain Command, they will know what to do"

The soldier saluted then hurried off to the Communications room, Ravion turned to his aides, who didn't look as sure of themselves as they did a minute before. He watched them for a moment, they avoided his eyes, then he turned, snorted, and walked away to his office.

Two Rapid Deployment Divisions have been parachuted into the Mountainous Region of the Isle of Tortuga. They are being supported by 60 Mi-24 Hind Attack Helicopters and 24 Harrier Jump Jets...

Tanks and other equipment have been also parachuted...

The greatest news is that the test of the Aerial Jump Jets were a success... A lance of four Raptor BattleMechs were dropped into Tortuga to support the paratroopers... Additional drops can be counted on...

In addition, two squadrons of twelve Virginia Class SSNs have been deployed on standby around Tortuga... They have orders to launch Tomahawks and possibly SRBMs into Tortuga when the surface fleet arrives...

The Formosa's massive cannons opened up hurling shells inland, the Allied Invasion Force on the mainland now conisisted of over 560,000 infantry, 45,000 Marines, 2,200 M1A2 Abrams Tanks, 3,500 Challenger II tanks, 11,200 M2A2 Bradley IFV's, 32,000 peices of towed artillery, 7,000 peices of towed rocket artillery, 1,200 MLRS and similar systems, 4,500 SP guns, 140,000 supply and transport vehicles, the 1st Air Force, 2nd Air Support Group (230 AH-66 Comanches, 192 A-10 Thunderbolts, 450 assorted support jets and helicopters), 12,000 Paratroopers (On planes heading for Tortuga), and the accompanying fleets.

The force had marched into the open city of Port Royal and the freighters were now offloading even more troops and the food and ammo needed. 14,000 troops were left while the others began to fan out towards the Cassara Pass, the artillery and naval artillery were pounding the surrounding areas indiscrimately while most of the Allied Air Force was pounding Regus Air Force Base. The IV Army Corps (650 M1A2's, 700 Challenger Mk.II, 3,500 M2A2 Bradleys, 65,000 Infantry, 8,000 peices of artillery) is the main force of the assault and is beginning down the road to Cassara to breakthrough. The 9th Airborne Division (The paratroopers) are about to be dropped in about 12 miles from Regus Air Force Base (Padmasa, this would be a good time for your attack). The II Army Corps (Similar Makeup) is to push past the IV after the break is made at Cassara and bolt to the city of Havana at the tail end of the Mountains, secure it, and began moving troops through to assault either Regus, San Juan, or Tortuga City.
26-09-2003, 06:02
The Canadian fleet began bombarding the fortified shores in front of Tortuga City, the Fleet Carrier Essex (Our only) has begun launching sorties to bomb the forts along the beachhead. The 2 Wasps loaned from the Allied States have begun to discharge the AAV's that will carry the first wave of 2,000 Marines on shore, following them will be the entire Canadian Offensive Army, some 700,000 soldiers to overwhelm the beach. The first wave will discharge, then a second wave will in a similar fashion, following that barges will begin unloading the Army troops and additional Marines to break into Tortuga City.

(( The Southern Invasion was decided over several telegrams of movements, tactics, and a rather langthy argument, so here is the result, seems you all cannot defeat me so easy ))

The Final shot rang out of the coastal guns, the Canadian Fleet was in ruins, the torpedo boats had zig-zagged between them raking them with Torpedo hits, they lacked any defined doctrine to deal with the Tortugan ships. Hundreds of thousands of Canadian troops were still sitting on the beach, having never gotten past the second line of defenses becuase of great Air support the Tortugans enjoyed becuase of lack of any attack on Inclirk like there had been at Regus when the Allies invaded. The bulk of troops were surrendering now, over 450,000 troops, the only who had survived the Torpedo attacks. Small pockets of resistance continued but the Tortugans quickly eliminated them.

Now forces, some 560,000 with accompanying heavy armor are moving North to engage the light divisions deployed by The Five Civilized Nations, these forces, cutoff from the Allied lines, cannot hope to win. The defense line at Cassara is being held by a huge force of nearly 950,000 soldiers and heavy armor and artillery at just this point.

The Commands have once again been re-organized, this is the following organization

Southern Command
640,000 Soldiers
450 Tanks
3,400 APC's
15,000 peices of Artillery
1 Brigade of engineers

1 Squadron of C-130 Spectres
2 Wings of Phantom II's

Northern Command
1,870,000 Soldiers
1,990 Tanks
16,800 APC's
31,600 Peices of Artillery
3 Brigades of Engineers
1 Wing of F-22's
1 Wing of F-16's
1 Wing of Tac B1 Lancers
1/2 Squadron of B-52's

The slow to deploy reserves are finally becoming somewhat active and are beginning to reenforce Tortugan positions, the Reserves are still traning and equipping however the force stands at about 2,000,000. The entire force is expected to be deployed by the end of the RL month. While not as well trained or equipped they still serve as good a defense as Regular troops, an additional 50,000 Regulars are added to my Army standings every 3 NS months as they are trained.

The CSS Tyranna limped through the ocean listing to port. She had been struck with two torpedoes but had made it out of the slaughter, the entire fleet was destroyed. They had watched as they scurried away, the troops transports sunk with the men inside, and the troops on shore watching in horror as the fleet went below the surface.

The Tyranna was the sole survivor, this was the largest debacle in Canadian Princes military history, not even the Surrender at Acheron could compare, an entire Army and Fleet had been utterly decimated. The Allied Forces in the North were on their own for the moment, the Canadians would have to recuporate before they could do anything further, they had lost significant equipment along with our best troops.

In the middle of the ocean, heading back for the home they would never reach, the Tyranna finally curled over and slipped beneath the waves. The Canadian Princes Military was out of the fight for the time being.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN GONE!!" Admiral Hart screamed at the soldier.

"Just what the message says sir, the entire Canadian force has been destroyed, there will be no invasion of the Southern Coast."

Hart turned away from the man to the veiwports out to sea, the entire invading force, destroyed becuase of incompetence. This couldn't be happening, the Northern invasion had gone off flawlessly why the Canadians could not duplicate that he didn't know.

He turned back to the man, "Alright thank you, return to your duties"

The soldier left the room, closing the door behind him, Hart turned to the others in the room, the commanders of the Army and Marine Corps fighting on the island. "Your analysis?"

"Sir without the Canadians pressing them from the South they have drastically reenforced thier mountain lines, we will need more troops to breakthrough."

"More troops....... by the time we could get more troops they can have up to 3,000,000 troops on the other side of those lines and smash through us."

"So we shorten our lines, fall back, we can only wait for reinforcements from the homeland now, we have around 800,000 soldiers against 1,800,000 soldiers."

"What about the paratroopers outside Regus, if we don't break through they will be surrounded"

Hart interjected "Alright we'll retreat to the Port Royal plains, from there we can hold them off while more troops come in. Tell Command we need the 10th Airborne, and the 6th Airborne to reenforce the 9th Airborne outside Regus, they will take it, then we fly in armor and infantry to hold that base and supply it from air. If we can occupy the Tortugans with that for long enough we can breakthrough them in the Port Royal plains with our new forces and scatter them so they can't form up in the mountains again."

No one in the room spoke for it or against it, which he took as a positive point "Alright, start pulling back your troops, we'll establish a new line around the city and wait for the Airborne to complete thier mission, and tell your families you won't be home in time for Christmas, dismissed"

Because of the destruction of the Canadian Princes, the Five Civilized Nations has decided to parachute reinforcements to its Rapid Deployment Divisions in the mountains.

At 0700 this morning, an All Terrain Warfare (Armor) Division and one Mountain Warfare Infantry Division were airdropped to reinforce the beleaguered 5CN troops in the mountains

A further ten Rapid Deployment Divisions and four Mountain Warfare Infantry Divisions are slated to be dropped tommorrow RL time...

In addition, two Amphibious Assault Armies, each consisting nine Marine Divisions and six Amphibious Warfare Divisions have been moved up to begin a amphibious attack in the weakened South. The two armies totaled about 450,000 troops.

The 5CN Navy has deployed the 9th Fleet, consisting of sixteen Arleigh Burke Class Frigates, Six Tsunami Class Fleet Carriers, twenty-four Fox Corvettes, four Aegis Class Carriers, and twenty Virginia Class SSNs around the isle of Tortuga...

At 0730 this morning, as the warships of the 9th Fleet began bombarding the beaches, aircraft from the carriers and from distant land bases began attack runs. By 0930, the beach had been taken with minimum casualties. Both armies had been landed. By 0945, supplies began to be landed.

At 0930, fifteen Avatar Mini-SSNs moved into the the fleet of over 100 Tortuga torpedo boats and tore them apart using Harpoon Missiles and Mk-54 Torpedos. Over 83% of the torpedo boats were sunk at a loss of twelve Avatars.

(( Umm..... your not supposed to be able to do all that unless you've fought this invasion over T-gram, not to mention your troops *suddenly* appeared, but I'll let it go this time ))

The Southern defense artillery began firing onto the strangely deserted beach, hundreds of Howitzers rained down shells on the massed FCN troops. The 1st Armor, 2nd Infantry, 4th Mechanized, 5th Mechanized, 13th Motorized, 84th Infantry, 96th Infantry, 1st Reserve, 2nd Reserve, Capitol Guard (Elite troops), 3rd Reserve, 4th Reserve, and 5th Rrserve (All division size) have encircled the beach head by filling in the Hammerlein Line, the extensive fortifications around Tortuga. The Air Force at Inclirk, once again untouched has begun to fly in the air once again, taking the fight to the FCN planes over the beach while C-130's circle overhead adding to the bombardment of the beachhead.

To the North the Mountain line was weakened by 650,000 troops, 250,000 were sent to add into the troops attacking the FCN paratroopers (Which being paratroopers, are obviously light, unless you've developed a heavy armor stuff or something, which if you have could you post please) and the rest have been sent South to add into the counterattack of the FCN beach head.
27-09-2003, 16:34
Also the beleagured troops at Regus Air Force Base, facing an attack from Allied paraforces, and the constant aerial attack by Neroland and Allied Air Forces, have been pulled out to add what is left of them to the Mountain Line and the attack on the FCN troops. The Air Force Bases' runway was mined and the hangars destroyed as the troops madea quick retreat ahead of the 9th Allied Airborne.

"Sir, we have bad news... Our troops on the beaches are being slaughtered..."

"God damn't... Move our warships closer... Use the warships' guns, save those men!!!"

"Yes sir."

The warships of the 9th Fleet suddenly began firing on enemy artillery positions, using Tomahawks, Hellfire Missiles, and Vulture Napalms.

"Sir, their positions are softening..."

"Good, land some AAs..."

"Yes sir..."

As the warships continued firing... Three Container Ships drew close to the beach. The hold opens up and from each ship twenty Gatling AA Platforms and fifteen Phalanx Missile Platforms.

In the Mountains of Tortuga

"Sir, the enemy is getting reinforced."

"Again... God damn't..."

"Sir, they're attacking our left flank..."

"Move some Lynx MBTs over there..."

"God damn the air force. If they could drop MBTs in, why couldn't they drop more troops..."

As the battle wore on... It became evident that the beleaguered 5CN troops couldn't hold the line...

"Sir, we have new orders..."

"Let me see them... Finally the brass see the situation... Captain, prepare for withdrawal... Don't forget to leave some nasty surprises for the enemy..."

"Yes sir..."

Slowly, the 5CN soldiers began pulling back, leaving large amounts of booby traps and mines. 240 Mi-24K Attack Helicopters hovered overhead, covering the retreat. One division of 5CN troops trained to become guerrillas, detached from the main body of retreating troops and headed north...

"Admiral Hart to all forces, Operation Anvil beginning, prepare to move out" Thier plans had been sped up some lately with the FCN troops fighting for thier lives, the Allied Navy was invincible, they outnumbered all of thier allies combined but thier Navy could do nothing sitting in the water, so it fell again to the Army to prove itself. The Excelsior Battlegroup, 15th Naval Squadron, and 11th Naval Squadron were moving to reenforce and aid the FCN Southern Invasion.

With Tortugan forces attacking Regus and the Southern areas he could finally make his breakthrough and encirclement, he had only recieved around 150,000 reenforcements bringing the forces he had close to 1 million. This represented almost 60% of the Allied Army (I focus on my Navy for reference, I've only deployed about 230 warships for operations concerning Tortuga, and that is only about 25% of my fleet not counting PT boats, so go figure). Command could spare no more troops and further weaken the home defenses and possible troops for an operation, but they had sent him the best of equipment.

He had divided his forces accordingly, keeping the two Marine Corps together on the left, combined with the III Army Corps they would simply make feints at the Tortugans the entire time, the right was held by the IV and VIII Army Corps which would do roughly the same. But the Center was where the blow would come, the Allied Air Force, which enjoyed total air domination in the North, had been bombing those lines for the past week. From here the V Corps, XIV Corps, XXII Corps, The Neroland Expeditionary Force, and the IX Corps would break through the Tortugans then fan out to encircle the Tortugan left and right, forcing them to either retreat of surrender.

He enjoyed total Air and Naval Supremacy, and the Tortugan lines were close enough for Naval Artillery to help out, and he also enjoyed much much more advanced and better maintained equipment then thier counterparts, but the Tortugans had around 1,400,000 soldiers out there, and if the encirclement didn't work he would have to fight through the mountains and lose more and more troops.

Regus could not hold forever, and he was unsure if the FCN forces could either, but he had no doubts if he could breakthrough here the North and Central parts of Tortuga would fall quickly, and he would meet the FCN and the new Canadian Exp. Force being assembled to help FCN in Tortuga City.

He turned as he heard the massive naval guns opening up, the land artillery had been going for nearly 6 hours in the massive pace, and the air cover had picked up, the Tortugans could only hope it would end sometime. If this didn't work it was likely the Army would get it's way and he would be replaced by an Army commander, that was his other nagging problem, was he making all these decisions and false assumptions of clear victory becuase his career was at stake, was he going to lose unnecessary casualties becuase of this, only time would tell.

The lead Challenger of the IX Corps, 2nd Armor pressed forward the begin the assault, following behind it were nearly 650,000 soldiers.

27-09-2003, 23:13
"Get Down!!" the Captain yelled as he ran back and forth across the line, they had been shelled and bombed for days, and now they were under direct attack.

He raised his M16 up and fired at the advancing Allied troops, his company taking them down, he watched as one of the dug-in 120MM AT guns blasted a hole straight through an Allied M1A2. The line had held for the past hour and a half of fierce fighting, Allied troops reaching his line twice.

The companies MG's fired at another approaching tank as a Tortugan AT peice once again opened fire destroying it. He couldn't speak for the whole line, but he was barely holding, less then half his company was still here and out of 5 heavy AT guns he had one left working and low on ammo. The ground in front of his forces were littered with Allied troops, and he could hear heavy fighting down the line.

Then a fresh Allied force came up, one of thier tanks fired and the AT gun went up in flames, several Allied planes flew over and then the explosions came, when he recovered his troops were panicked falling back, this was the full allies thrust now, the troops coming at them were more then ever before. In these plains he could not hope to beat them with thier more supplies and air power, they would have to retreat.

No order was needed, the Tortugan center was a confused panicked mass running towards the Northern Mountains, they had been defeated and lost many soldiers, thier only hope was to reach the mountains in time to make an effective defense.

Center line broke
230,340 soldiers wounded

Alright, cut the act. We both know each other in RL, and I DO know that both Neues Sibirien and Czechingrad are run by the same person, YOU. Further I am just helping you becasue some of us realists like to help others not get called for Godmodding. Futher, my friend, I am usually not such a "hard-ass" but such blatant disregard for logistics ruins it for those of us who take the time to work that sort of thing out. Further, If you do not stop implying that I am a homosexual nazi I will happily report you to the mods. I don't want to do that because we know each other in RL, but will if you refuse to stop.

Seriously guys, stop the hijacking, and he only said 4,500 troop boats, he didn't say tactical boats, perhaps he means troop transports, which can carry in the upwards of 4,000 soldiers each, I doubt he would send a force over an OCEAN in tactical landing craft.

60,000 soldiers were left in the rear to handle the overwhelming POW's over 800,000 Tortugan troops, the largest force to do so in Allied history, surrendered to the encircling Allied forces. The main army has continued to push on the heels of the retreating Tortugans while more and more trucks and transport helicopters are struggling to keep them in supply.

The Fleets sent to help out the FCN landings have arrived and are providing air and artillery support. To the North planes direct from the Allied homeland have begun to land at Regus AFB and along with the carrier fighters are bombing the supply and fallback lines of the Tortugan troops.

The Army has been ordered to push as fast as it can past Cassara Pass ASAP.

Reinforced with an additional force of 60,000 Sword and Shield troops and 75,000 Five Civilized Nations soldiers launched Operation Nebula, an attack through the broken 2nd Tortugian defense line into the 3rd defense line. As the Allied troops marched forward, rear-line artillery and carrier aircraft attacked the wavering 3rd line...

Spearheading the attack is the 54th All Terrain Warfare Division (Armor), utilizing Lynx MBTs and 155mm Self-propelled Assault Guns pierced the 3rd line.

(( Could someone please telegram me like S&S did when he said my troops surrendered and get my permission, I don't care too much since I would have let those troops surrender but still ))

The captain held his position at the outdated PIAT II as the Allied troops advanced on Cassara Pass. For a week they had been attacked and harassed by the advancing Allied forces, in the South all he heard were rumors of another battle.

He was outnumbered, this he knew, but the fortifications at Cassara pass had held the Allies on the other side for two days, but the Tortugans were exhausted from the long marching retreat and the battle. He had less then fifty men to hold a 200 yard front, most of the lines probably had similar numbers.

Both the PIAT II Positions fired as an Allied halftrack ran back and forth spraying MG fire at the troops, no doubt Allied infantry was behind it. The two projectiles slammed into the APC, not destroying it but flipping it over and inoperable. He didn't even bother reloading the PIAT II, instead grabbed his rifle and began firing with his soldiers at the advancing infantry, at least the tanks were still moving in a flanking attack and not supporting the infantry.

As he and his men desperately held off the superior Allied numbers, similar actions took place all along the line, outnumbered Tortugan reservists and regulars fighting hand-to-hand with the Allies. Then a message reached General Attucco, the commander. The Army of the South had been destroyed, Cassara Pass could no longer be held, Allied beach heads all around the country, retreat for final stand at Tortuga City.

The orders to fallback reached the captain as soon as they had beaten off another Allied infantry advance. He pulled his 22 able bodied men out with him, leaving the wounded and dead to the Allied soldiers.

The next week was the worst, most cruel, and tragic week of the Tortugan Army, for the entire week the Army retreating just ahead of Allied advances from all sides, only making a few stands at places like Kingston and Berbery, all of which fell. The Army was harrased continually by Allied Air power flying from Regus, most of thier armor was gone and artillery destroyed. Some 560,000 soldiers had retreated from Cassara, and when they finally reached the outer defense lines of Tortuga City, only 240,000 were ready to fight.

But now they had a glimmer of hope for a negotiated peace, Tortuga City was heavily fortified, there wasn't a block in the city that didn't have at least 3 AAA or SAM sites, any parks where taken up with artillery or storage dumps, 12 seperate lines of defense existed around the city, the last two of which were more then trenches and pillboxes, they were a string of forts and all thier accompanying artillery. To the South the trench lines were following along the Wa'ma'gon River that wound itself around the fields to the south of the city, heavy artillery and MG's watched river crossings, all bridges were destroyed, and more infantry was spread out along the river. To the East the line continued along the Wa'ma'gon until it leaked into the Feiren Lake, then the line turned North, these were the heaviest lines facing the Barren Plains, and finally to the West the line rejioned the Wa'ma'gong River.

The city was bolted down and they prepared to withstand the seige. All told there were some 8,000,000 civilians stil in the city, guarding it was 450,000 Regular Army, 1,280,000 Volunteer Militia, and 1,800,000 Reserve Army. Over 15,000 peices of artillery were strung about the city, and an efficient supply network established.

The Allied Army finally reached the outskirts of Tortuga City on May 21 (The war started June 2). By May 26 the final elements had arrived and by the 28th the Allied Army from the north had made camp and dug lines opposing the Tortugan Northern Lines. No one was sure if they had reached there yet but it was speclated FCN troops would arrive on the oppisite bank of the River and dig in oppisite Tortugan positions.

300,000 troops were sent to dig in on the West Banks of the River, while the East banks were given to the soon to be arriving Canadian Exp. Force. The northern lines were some 960,000 strong, having been reinforced from Port Royal and now from Kingston and Azore. The engineers began construction on the newly won plains of air bases where helicopters and planes could attack from, but for now the aerial attacks came from Regus.

On May 27 Allied Invasion Command, Port Royal sent thier plan to Allied Command, Philadelphia. It called for the construction of seige lines which was already underway, followed by paralyzing artillery and air strikes. Then for a message to be sent to the Tortugan government to surrender within 3 days or evacuate all citizens. Following this, if hostilities were still open, then the Allied Air Force would firebomb the city for 3 straight days, followed up by massed artillery strikes and further bombing, and finally a massive thrust across the Barren plains and into the destroyed city.

On May 28, Allied Command, Philadelphia, met with the President and discussed the plan. On May 29, Allied Command sent a message to Invasion Command, the plan was approved. On May 30, the message to capitulate was sent to Tortuga City. The bombers are being loaded with napalm and incendinary ordnance, the final deadline days are passing...........

The Five Civilized Nations moved its entire Tortugian Expeditionary Army Group to the North side of the city. A total of 730,000 men were arrayed for the final attack.

Captain Braden held the controls of the B-52 tight, the skies ahead of him lit up in an eerie red by the bombs that had alread fallen, the AA tracer fire, and an occasional longer streak from the SAM's in Tortuga City. He was in the middle wave, of some 820 bombers, mixed B-52's and B-1B's.

They had flown over the front lines, seeing the explosions of the massive artillery bombardment that had been going on all day. He would hate to be a Tortugan soldier down there, or anywhere in Tortuga for that matter.

"Captain, we're coming over the target zone now, Echo 4 and 5 are dropping thier ordance, should we begin"

"Copy that, open the bomb bay doors, empty her"

The B-52 streaked across Tortuga City, and deadly droplets fell from her stomach towards the earth. As they hit they ripped through the streets and buildings in a random line, adding the massive attack already happening, the heat generated from so many bombs falling in a relatively small area literally lit the atmosphere on fire, huge firestorms rampaged through the city destroying everything in it's way.

In the trenches the IV Army Corps and II Army Corps (Stats posted before, minus about 25% from the original stats for wounded, destroyed, killed, or on garrison duty) prepared to attack across the plains into the city in daylight, and the artillery continued to fire as more tactical bombers prepared to soften up the lines. Tortuga had to be taken.

The Five Civilized Nations Army brought out heavily modified V-2 Rockets and began launching them into the city...
07-10-2003, 05:54
As day broke on May 12, the once sparkling port city of Tortuga was in ruins. Huge sections of it were simply chattered remains, the Allied bombers had turned it into a hollow shell. No longer could the Tortugan Army be supported in it, but they were not about to give up. Initial estimates put the death toll around 890,000, and that was rapidly growing as the limited rescue forces continued to go through the rubble.

Hundreds of thousands of AT guns and soldiers were brought up from the River lines to the Plain lines to engage the advancing Allied Army Corps. The fighting there had been dragging on all night and into the day, and showed no signs of abating, losses on both sides had to be tremendous. But the Tortugans were rapidly falling back to thier major fort lines as the forward trenches crumbled under a blistering air-land attack.

The last Tortugan fighters and choppers had been blasted out of the sky, the Navy was in ruins sitting in the dockyards, and the final helicopters were being used for transport deep inside the city. AA defenses were severely short on ammo after the bombing run last night, and some sections of the Army are said to be on the verge of Mutiny seeing the impossible odds facing them.

Three refitted Yamato Class Battleships moved into the harbor of the Tortugian harbor, ready to blast the survivors to kingdom come...

Admiral Hain stood in the Command center of the ANS Excelsior, the command crew running about around him as they watched the 3 massive FCN ships move into the harbor.

"What the hell are they doing, that's suicide, the Coastal Guns will rip those big targets to shreds"

"Sir, the Tortugan defenses are swiveling around to target them, sir those cannons will blast them to peices"

"Cease shelling of inland targets, order the Athena to launch a flight of AN-4 scouts to relay the coastal guns coordinates"

"Yes sir, sending signal now"

The command room came to life again as the sailors began to recieve data from past flyby's and the ones launching. But the din of the room was drown out by the sounds of the electronic gears swiveling around the 4 turrets.

"Sir, we're beginning to get a good enough picture of the general layout, the cannons are beginning to fire on the FCN ships"

"Target the cannons from here and fire"

Several more minutes went by as ballistic trajectories were calculated, and each cannon on each turret set.

Then the ship roared and tilted to one side as 2 at a time, the massive 17''/60 cannons of the Excelsior fired from 9 miles out into the harbor. (The Excelsior class BB's are modified IRL Montana-Class BB's).

The four triple turrets took turns, two cannons on a forward turret would fire, then two on a rear, and so on as the shells were hurtled the distance and onto thier designated targets, the Tortuga City Coastal Guns.

Near the Excelsior the ANS Borellia, a G class Heavy Cruiser, was turning it's guns to fire into the harbor from afar as well. The rear turret had completed it's swivel, and the cannons were raised, for a moment all was still on the ship, finally a thump as the projectile began to fire. Then a massive roar as the turret exploded and threw itself up into the air, a large gaping hole left in the ship.

The G class having been designed for speed unlike the Pegasus class Heavy Cruiser, had thin protection against such accidents. The explosive force reached the batteries ammunition stores, setting off several of the rounds in there. The middle of the ship lifted up and the deck splintered in half, followed by an exploision of fire from the middle, and the two sections of ship came crashing back down to the surface. In several minutes the Borellia went from one of the newest ships in the Allied Navy, to a wreck heading for the bottom of the sea.

***Aboard Yamato Class Battleship, the Isoroku Yamamoto***

In Fleet Admiral Fitzgerald Forrest's stateroom. The Captain runs hurriedly into the room.

"Admiral Forrest, we've got a situation..."

"What, Captain..."

"The Sword and Shield warships have foolishly decided to join the bombardment, they are being torn apart..."

"God damn't... Move the two Executor Class Battleships, the Sun Zhongshan and the Aurora along with their escorts to protect them..."

"Yes sir..."

The Captain leaves the stateroom.

"What in damnation are the Sword and Shield doing... Don't they realize that the Yamato Class Battleships are relatively impervious to the Tortugian harbor defenses!?!"

As the Admiral is speaking, he is looking through the window as one of the Five Civilized Nations' Heaven's Will Class Aegis Cruisers exploded...

"Damn..."

The Admiral walks over to the bridge. And orders the Captain.

"Signal the fleet... Order all vessels except the Battleships to withdraw.
09-10-2003, 04:47
(( Umm...... you are aware his BB's are doing what your's should be. Your Yamato's are huge targets sitting right in front of my 650MM Main Coastal Artillery (Your BB's cannons are 400MM for comparison) Those cannons will slice straight through your BB's at that range. I only have to sight target your ships which are inside my harbor, to hit his I have to sight them from radar or air, both of which I don't exactly have to spare. Now to borrow from you guys' format ))

Commander Clippart stood in the "harbor Command" room, what it really was was a room on top of a crane in the docks with a few maps and radios.

"Sir the FCN BB's are the only ships left in the harbor, CG guns Concordia and Echo are out of commision from farther out Naval Artillery (FCN and Allied ships farther out), but CG guns Abore, Fieren, Dora, and Ghana report targets sighted, all secondary batteries (120MM, 150MM, and 250MM cannons) report they are sighting targets now"

"Very good" He walked over and picked up the radio on the Main CG Harbor network.

"All Main Batteries, targets sighted....... cannons ready....." The harbor sat silent.... "FIRE!!"

The entire harbor shook as the 4 working main guns fired their cannons, the huge shells streaking to rip through the Yamatos', then the secondary batteries fired, 120MM, 650MM, 150MM, and even small arms fire all joined together to turn the harbor into a hellish crossfire of metal, all aimed towards the FCN BB's.

***Aboard the Isoroku Yamamoto***

On the bridge, the crew is working feverishly piloting the massive vessel to evade enemy fire. Explosions and water geysers surround the mightly vessel.

"Admiral Forrest, we've been hit thirty times..."

"It doesn't matter... Yamato Class Battleships are very heavily armored to weapons fire... And because of the recent refit, those shells won't penetrate beyond the first armored layer... Now I want all guns to target those harbor batteries and blow them to kingdom come."

"Aye sir..."

The vessel shudders as all nine of its 18.5 inch guns fire at once. Nearby a Trinity Class Destroyer explodes hit by eight 120mm shells hit the vessel... The warship disappears...
10-10-2003, 01:09
(( No offense but a ship with armor that could stop 650MM and 150MM shells would not be able to float and if it could there is no way in hell it could get inside my harbor, and Yamato's aren't that fast, and with me accepting defeat don't you think you could at least admit I destroyed one of them, Canadian accepted I destroyed his invasion force and Navy, and S&S admitted I destroyed one of his fleet carriers ))

The artillery shell slammed down into the rubble beside what was once the proud marble and stone government headquarters. Inside military men and women ran all about around the President, gathering up files, ammo, supplies, and anything else as they evacuated in the face of the Allied Advance.

"Sir, the northern parts of the city are rapidly falling, Allied tanks are providing cover for thier advancing infantry, we're giving them more then we're taking but we cannot continue to hold them off"

"So we advance to the South, try to breakthrough the FCN lines and make an escape to the east heading for the mountains..."

A runner ran in at that moment with a message "Sir, General Bach reports that FCN troops have broken through the river shallows and are entering the southern sections of the city"

"What!?"

Then his aide spoke up "Sir, we're surrounded, do we need to die"

"What is this talk, treason is what I call it. In this our greatest hour of need you would have us abandon our country becuase fortune doesn't favor us at the moment. If we can make it to the mountains we can continue a guerilla fight, and ensure Operation Swiftsure is never successful. It is your duty to do this, and it will be your childrens duty, and so on until we win back our homeland. Now who will stan....."

A shot rang out and the President doubled over, and collapsed down the stairs, finally coming to a stop in front of the still standing Statue of Justice, he died staring up at the symbol of Tortugan pride.

Back in the rubble of the Great Hall, the Presidents' aide stood there, pistol in hand, staring at where the President had been standing.

No one moved.......

"Alright, I'm.... I'm taking charge h-here. Send a message to the Allies, Tortuga surrenders, ask for a cease fire and time for us to disarm our forces"

Still no one moved....

"Go!"

The room exploded into action as radiomen sent messages to all commands to cease firing.

In the south of the city the snipers and ambushers held thier fire at the advancing FCN troops, in the north they ceased thier raging battle with Sword and Sheild troops, in the harbor, the massive coastal artillery fell silent. The Battle of Tortuga was over
