International assistance required

24-09-2003, 19:59
It is with great regret that the Holy Empire of Imperial Unions announces the death of 1st Lieutenant Graham Holsten, following a mid air collision at sub sonic speed during a routine patrol over the ocean. The collision occured when 3rd class Lieutenant Jeffery Van Hofter, Lt. Holsters wingman for 18 months, reported an impact with the cockpit section of his Eurofighter Typhoon, followed immediatley with the Helmet mounted HMS system, also with various electronic failures. Van hofter ejected, and his craft veered and slammed into Holsters Typhoon. The reason for the impact with Van Hofters aircraft are as yet unknown, and thus we request international assistance into the investigation of the incident. This is the first Non-combat death of an Imperial Pilot.

(OCC: Im only wanting to see who's willing to help me out here, not an RP.)

I'll help out in any way that I can.

Thanks. Investigation will continue. The body of Graham Holsten has been removed by Imperial Navy Divers, transported in Kahta cutters, as Imperial Naval vessels are not permitted in the area where this occured. UFneral with full military honours is to b performed.

Initial investigation reveals a considerabal amount of damge to both aircraft, which lie at a depth of 75 metres, so divers are using mixed gas methods. Obviously, the most damaged aircraft is Holstens, but investigation ought to reveal more into the reason for the incident

Gigliovia has a few machines that could speed up the work. Called a sink float sending one over now. Woth operators. If you wish we shall give you sattelite video of the crash to see if that helps.

Affirm that Giglovia. I may actually turn this into an Rp, just to see what eventually happened.

Okey dokey, it is now officially RP.

Here is the scenario:

The 2 Imperial aircraft lie 75 metres below the surface, on a silty bottom. Imperial Divers are able to descend to the level of the aircraft, but for only 15 minutes. We have a Giglovian sink float on the way. One of the Kahatlian Cutters is now equipped with an Imperial recompression chamber. What we do not want people to know is the fact that there is a piece of very sensitive equipment on board the Aircraft of Holsten, 2 Imperial I166 (rather like the Exocet) type missiles, equipped controversially with nuclear warheads.

"Shit"
That word explained the attitude at the Imperial MoD. The missiles on board the Typhoon will have had their 24 hour automatic fuse started on contact with water, in order to prevent enemy agents getting their hands on the technology, top secret as it was. It was now a race against time to get the missiles up.

*4 cutter type ships appear*

"So whats the mission, sir?"
"First of all you need to hurry your ass up with getting that equipment on, and then we are to assist the Imperial navy in anyway. They need all the help they can get and until the sink float arrives. You 12 are some of the best Telliria can offer, so go down there and get the job done."
"What exactly is that?"
"Appearantly its some top secret weapon that needs to be recovered. They won't say much to me, except its pretty much like a nuclear weapon. So no mistakes, only 15 min, and be careful! Where trying to com. the Imperial Navy and see if you can enter."

*Comm. button flashes, the Tellirian sailor baisically says that 12 elite Water Troopers are ready to head over and help with recovery. Send the order and the'll be there.*

We await your command.

OOC Sorry, on the wrong timescale really

Imperial Intergrated Defense Forces command centre, Dock 1125

The helicopter took off, the imperial eagles on its belly flashing in the morning sun. The Imperial Divers onboard were the best the IN could offer, equipped with mixed gas diving equipment. ETA 56 minutes. On board, Commander Alex Sciruptus undid his safety harness and moved towards thr Radio area.

"Transmit message, frequency 141.225. Imperial commander to Tellerian cutters. Affirm assistance. Imperial Divers on way. ETA is now 55 minutes. Prepare your men."

Unknown to anyone, someone in the hold stirred, and moved towards the diving equipment of corporal Daelius Snipe.

"Ok men we have confirmation, we have to move to the Imperial ships and we'll head out with their troops. Got it? good!"

A cutter moves forward and arrives at the crash site. 12 men in full black stand around the ship looking at the scene, they talk to each other in low voices.

The comm. system comes alive again.

"Imperial forces. We are in position and await your command to head in, just give the word!"
