Sunrise in the Tower (new RPG)

He wakes me, the young scribe who I can no longer see. I have slept away the night and it is morning. I was far away, dreaming of the lands that stretch away below this tower; the lands I traveled through in my youth.

But now I am awake, I become the High Priest of Auz once more. I rise from my bed and see an orange glow: the sun is rising over the Emerald mountains. I raise my palms to it and give the scribe the morning’s blessings.

May our lord the great and powerful Auz find Dorthena's golden thread in the mornings offering. May his Helios barge fly across the heavens: may its tidings shine on you, friend Thomas of Kansas.

My mind is not on the words. Dreams of the past still haunt me. Today Thomas and I will finish the final chapters. Time has come full circle, in my end is my beginning: this story began in this tower. Now it will end here too.

I was twelve when I first came to this place, carried half-dead from the western badlands of Stryenta Lusmo to these heights where everything beneath, the Emerald Palace seems far removed as if from another world.

For many years my only compainons were this worm-eaten desk, these dusky alembics and retorts, this narrow cot and the three books that my master Alevar gave me before he died.

They stand propped on the mantel over the fire-blackened hearth, catching the light of the rising sun, in the exact same place where Iplaced them when my time came to leave.

All those lands that I visited as a youth are described in one of the books. Srowland, Metallis, and the Nations of Henna and Grimdale. But my traveling days are over, it is the other two books that draw me to them.

OOC: Feel free to jump in! This is intended to be a free flowing role play. :D

The first book is dedicated to my God: Lor, Lord of the Wind. The Book of Life. I hold it close to me; it corners are tattered and worn. Four opals adorn its corners and glimmer iridescent in the morning sun.

OOC: I may just need to give it more time, or move to a more war based RP. I thought going with fantasy might be a nice change.
