Following a decision by the Elias Air Force to procure the EA-160 Wolverine (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=71886) over the EA-148 design, Elias Aerospace has decided to scale back the original design and produce the EA-148 as a jet trainer instead of a mutlirole fighter. It was beaten by the other Elias Aerospace design because it was a cheaper but not as capable design. Two qualities that make it ideal for training.

In order for this type to be devoloped a ceratin number of pre sales must be achieved. Pre orders will involve a 20% deposit with the rest to be paid upon delivery once development is complete. The pre sale price will be significantly cheaper than the standard price.

Certainly it produces about an extra 1000lb of thrust so it would give it slightly higher max sppeds.
BTW The Flygmotor RM12 is just a licensed copy of the General Electric F404-GE-400
