EM-140 Beluga Guided Missile Frigate (FFG)

This ship is designed to engage a wide range of underwater, aerial and surface targets and is another example of the Elias engineering corporations designing a vessel that is cost effective, capable and reliable. One of the ships main advantages is its low radar signature due to the hull and superstructure design and its advanced sensor suites.

The unique 3D scan radar system has a very long range that covers the entire range of the cruise missiles and far beyond, tracking concurrently up to 85 targets. The gun fire control system detects air and surface targets, performs automatic tracking, and computes firing data. The radar which provides the fire control systems with designation data for up to 38 targets at a time. The ship is also fitted with active radar jammers IFF radar, electronic countermeasures and chaff dispensers for self defence.

The EM-140 is equipped with the full set of navigation and communications equipment, powerful gas turbine power plants, air-conditioning and ventilation systems to provide efficient operation in any climatic conditions and NBC chemical protection systems as well as a radiation de-contamination facility. It can be operated in sea conditions up to Sea State 10.

Other key features include a comprehensive and lightning fast encrypted data transmission and receiving system that is optimized for operation in large battle groups where sensor information is instantly relayed to the flag ship and/or shore command centers.

EM-140 Beluga: $220 million

The deisgn of the EM-90 Manatee Sealift ship was created after a Navy and Army requirement for a ship capbable of moving, heavy cargo, ammunition supplies, fleet replenishment stocks or tanks and armoured vehicles. The first of the original order of two was commisioned last month and the second will be launched in several weeks.

However following approval by the Ministry of Defence Procurement and Export the ship will be marketed internationally.

EM-90 MANATEE: $200 million

Construction can begin as soon as the required funds have been wired and construction will take approximately 3 months.

OOC: Like a week and a half RL time I guess.

The EM-75 class fleet oiler was developed by the Elias Marine Corporation and subsidaries in order to fill a requirement from the Elias Navy for 4 auxilary vessels specifically designed for the transfer of liquid fuels, although with the capacity for other stores also.

There are stations on both sides of each ship for underway replenishment of fuel and stores. Equipped with 5 fueling stations, they can replenish two ships at a time pumping up to 900,000 gallons of diesel fuel and 540,000 gallons of jet fuel per hour. These ships have a capacity for small quantities of fresh and frozen provisions, stores, and other materials which will permit full replenishment of some of their customers. With a dry cargo carrying capacity of 7,400 square feet and refrigerated deck vans that can hold up to 128 pallets of chilled food, they can deliver fleet cargo, mail, and provisions via CONREP (connected replenishment) from two dry cargo rigs or via VERTREP (vertical replenishment) on the helo deck.

The oiler is offered in two different versions:
The 'A' Variant is the standard singlehulled version and the 'B' is more expensive, slightly heavier and has less fuel capacity but is double hulled for more enviromentally sensitive nations (especially UN members who signed up for a ban on single hulled tankers.)

Big Long Now will take 3 of the EM-140 Beluga's.

The total cost of $660 million has been wired.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
ANNOUNCEMENT:

The nation of Big Long Now will be downsizing their plans for a Naval Warfare Unit by about half, and instead will be focusing upon a Space Warfare Unit. The Big Long Now military officials have studied Space Warfare for quite awhile and have been rather surprised at the successfulness of Space Warfare. Construction for 3 missle guidance satellites to help better total hit accuracy on enemy targets.

Specifications for the SMGS (Space Missle Guidance System):

Height: 20 feet

Width: 14.5 feet

Propulsion: Ion Propulsion Engines

Power: Nuclear reactor/Solar

Atmosphere Penetration Technology: Using infared imaging the SMGS can penetrate clouds, smoke, etc. on planets surface

Life support: Since SMGS is mostly self-repairable we found no need to include a life support module, of course a life support module can be added if felt needed.

Why is it so sucessful? The SMGS operates on a modulating frequency, making it extremely tough for enemy forces to interrupt the signal sending the missle elsewhere than the destined target.

Price: $765 million dollars
Launch costs: $8.5 million dollars
--------------------------------------------------------
Big Long Now Space Agency is busy working on other Space Warfare projects, and will notify you once the program is completely launched.

3 SMGS, thousands of nations. Will you be lucky enough to recieve one?
