OOC: Looking for online equipment sources

23-09-2003, 02:29
Hiya.
In character, my country makes all its own hardware, from tanks to fighters, from pistols to missiles. I intend to open up my arms industry to trade.
However, I know pretty much diddly about wepons specs, so I would like to ask any of you with experience in this sort of thing to point me in the right direction.
In other words, give me links.
I'm looking for detailed specifications on tanks, planes, APCs, ships, guns, missiles, helicopters and motorbikes of all descriptions.
Any assistance is appreciated.

http://warships1.com - detailed info on past and present systems, as well as one of the best sources of information on naval guns and torpedoes. If you look, there's also armor penetration tables for battleship guns.

http://www.hazegray.org/worldnav - World Navies Today website. Gives information and stats for the current naval forces of just about any nation worth noting.

http://www.nasog.net/datasheets/index.htm - only statistical information, but still worth a look. Has a lot of units that aren't at many other sites.

And many, many more where those came from.

Are you sure? Google has been able to find 95% of everything I've needed to look for.

It's more that I'm too lazy to sort thru 1000+ sites to find what I want, when there are obviously a whole load of people who can just look in their bookmarks and give me what I need.
It's called "resources", people!
