As far as I recall the fastest manned vehicle in the real old world, is the Blackbird. Moving at oh, I think it was 2000mph. At max. That´s 17,000mph slower than your mech. Mhm.

Going that fast in an atmosphere turns Mr. Shiny New Mech into Mr. Flying Ball of Molten Slag. Hence, it does not work unless you are using it as a rather expensive, melty projectile. Thank you. Have a nice day.

A 'Mech' is commonly a 2-3 story tall machine that weighs around 30-100 tons and goes 50 mph(in bursts) if it's 30 tons and only about 20-30 mph if it's around 100 tons.

You see where this gives your God-Mech a distinct advantage...

If you are refering to the SR-71, then nope, your wrong. Fastest was the X-15. However, the SR-71 holds the record for being the fastest AIR BREATING vehicle, as apposed to teh X-15, which is the fstes rocket powered vehicle.

If these were published as capable of moving at speeds over 10k in or below the atmosphere, then I would call godmodding, but if the speed is the speed in space, then I think its fine.

What about the fact you'd need huge engines to do so? Like, space shuttle sized.

Well considering that the space station moves at about 18,000mph, I would think 10k would be reasonable for a space mech. Granted not for a huge amount of time.

3000mph faster? Thats alot for just lighter material. And even geneticall altered silk will burn from the propulsion system. Unless you use a fan-type system, in which case your not going anywhere near the 10k.

And if its so close to Resi's, why isnt he in here yelling at you?

i mean the same fuel and what not.... and i got my engines to the same thrust and energy use... except mayb a little bit worse...
