MAJOR military overhall, now buying carriers, and bombers!

The Newer England
22-09-2003, 03:51
The Newer England has began a MAJOR overhall of its entire military. Due to ageing equipment, and a need to modernize, we developed the Military Modernization Act of 2001, or MM Act of 2001. This Act allows for an extra flat monthy tax on the citizens of The Newer England for a period of 6 years which will raise $205,156,800,000. This, in addition to the other sorces of income, means we have $608.377 Billion for immediate use to purchace all types of military machines and equipment from battleships and carriers, to tanks and armored vehicles, to aircraft and missiles, and everything inbetween.
No storefrunts will be looked through, only serious manufacturers wanted, and when we start to buy, pics will be required! Please feal free to post a breaf discription of anything you feel we might be interested in. If we see something we like, we will TM you a link to our post for that type of equipment where you can post all the details you wish. Again, in this thread, please only post breaf discriptions of what you have.
Some items we will be seeking include:
> large carriers able to hold at least 120 aircraft
> small carriers able to hold around 40 aircraft
> battleships, cruisers, distroyers, frigates, attack and guided missile subs, amphibious landing craft and transports, and other specialty naval ships
> carrier bassed fighters
> land bassed fighters
> long range bombers
> refuilers
> attack helicopters
> utility helicopters
> main battle tanks
> smaller tactical tanks
> APCs
> and many other items

All items must be unique peices, no basic US or British equipment as I can make those myself.
I will post links here to actual purchasing threads when they go up (Not tonight) I will be checking this thread for ideas, please post if you wish a possible lucrative contract!

OOC: Um, dumb a--, I do check my spelling. I have dyslexia and often miss things, even though I sit here with my spell check trying to check it all. If a few misspelled words make it hard for you to understand or comprehend what I mean or want, than I do not want to do buisness with you anyway.

We can sell the Newer England a number of Utility choppers, including our domestic designed Lioness(similar to the Iroquis or "Huey", can carry soldiers and gear), as well as one of modern history's most powerful Heavy-Lift helicopters, the Tarhe "Skycrane".

(Should it have interest, we also have one defunct "Daisy Cutter" 10.000 pound warhead, aboard one of our Skycrane HL choppers. It can be restored to full functionality, should you be willing to purchase it.)

General Ndelebe,

To be very honest, I don't know what you want us to place here as descriptions, so I have given specificationsof two examples of weapons I offer. If you would like more information, I actually produce everything on your list and they are based on realism, but heavily modified and use my own systems.

Basicaly what I am looking for is manufactures to post breaf discriptions of items they think I will be interested in, and when I post a thread to buy something, I will TM anyone having something I may want, and they can post a full discription on that thread. This is a way I can spread the word a little more and get a wider range of equipment.
Although I was hopeing for a little more automation, to reduce the crew size, that carrier looks possible.

We have an excellent assault gun-mortar for sale here: http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=71124
Assault guns have a venerable history. However, they have largely been neglected in recent years. They still have an important role to play, and provide excellent capabilities at much lower costs and weights than the standard modern MBT.
1.2 million USD

We also have an excellent series of assault rifles, battle rifles, and heavy anti-material rifles for sale hgere: http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=61069&highlight=

The Evil Overlord
22-09-2003, 23:18
Evil Overlord Enterprises is decommissioning the Rodger Young-class Destroyers and the Daimyo-class Corvettes as they are replaced by the redesigned Sword Destroyers and City Corvettes. There are currently 96 Rodger Youngs and 173 Daimyos available for export.

Rodger Young
- Two 330mm cannon in double barbette FWD.
- Eight 30mm Hephaestus chainguns (4 port, 4 stbd)
- Sixty 110mm anti-air/anti-surface missiles in midships VLS
- Eight 400mm Dagger torpedos in 2 quad launchers (1 port, 1 stbd)
- 4 Wotan cruise missiles in single quad mount aft.

Each destroyer can land up to 2 helicopters (hangar bay holds only 1), employs EOE's patented Multipower to drive the ship in excess of 35 knots, and is armored with 75mm of ceramic/kevlar composite armor on the main belt (50mm armor elsewhere). Due to EOE's construction techniques, the ships do not have enormous drive shafts weighing several tonnes each. This allows more armor, weaponry, and supplies than other ships in their class.

Daimyo
- Two 155mm Durendal cannon in double barbette FWD
- Six 30mm Hephaestus chainguns (3 port, 3 stnd)
- Forty 110mm anti-air/antisurface missiles in midships VLS
- Eight 400mm Dagger torpedos in 2 quad launchers (1 port, 1 stbd)
- 4 Wotan cruise missiles in single quad mount aft.

Each corvette can land one helicopter, and has hangar space for one helicopter. Armor is 50mm throughout- all composite ceramic/kevlar. Each corvette employs the same drive and construction methods as the destroyers.

Theres a good chance, I am still working on the full budget for my overhall, but the totalgoing to be huge. If you keep an eye on this thread, I will be posting every time I start taking bids on something new and you can tell me what you have. I am not going to serach through any store fronts because thaere are just too many.
As for this particular aircraft, I think that I will likely buy some for a good and cheep fighter.

Question?
I know VTOL = vertical take off and landing
I think CTOL = Carrier take off and landing
What does STOL and S/VTOL mean?
Crookfur
26-09-2003, 23:33
STOL=short take off and landing (ie like the C17 and harrier with a ski jump).
S/VTOL: short/vertical take off and landing
the is also STOVL: short take off vertical landing (sea harrier basically).
