L-4A Future Decisive Combat System (FDCS)
The L-4A represents the next great leap forward in armored warfare technology. The L-4 is based on the new Liahona "F" series common armored chassis, incorporating several exciting features. The first production variant to use the F series chassis, the L-4A, is being produced as the successor to current modern MBTs, and offers several features that not only enhance survivability and maneouverability, but also provide a substantially increased level of lethality.
The vehicle is crewed by two personnel, a driver and vehicle commander. The commander has the ability to directly control and direct the vehicle's weapons, but normally this is handled by the vehicle's TPM-5-C Fire Control and System Integration Computer. The vehicle commander is no longer restricted to supervising a crew, but instead he is freed to monitor and direct his vehicle in battle and ensure it's integration into the total unit via 3 displays that provide vehicle, unit and target information.
Here are some of the impressive features of this new vehicle:
Crew: 2 (driver, commander)
Powerplant: Liahona BVM-SX-44-N turbine, producing 1,140 lbst
Chassis composition: Composite mesh with ceramic overlay
Armor type: Advanced composite layer with integral ERA functionality

*Vehicle also features our patented advanced visual concealment system, called the "Jasper-Type Visual Concealment Package".

This includes a layer of combination fiber-optic/liquid crystal over the exterior armor which actively blends the vehicle in with it's surroundings, although in a fluid manner which also further aids in hampering recognition. The system is layered on the armor in replaceable panels, making maintenance of the camoflage system simple.
Main Weapon: 120mm smoothbore cannon, capable of firing DU, HE and HVKAT rounds
Secondary Weapons: 1- KK-43N short range ATGM, 2- KORNET-E ATGM
Coaxial weapon: M-240C MMG

SRMAMS ATGM Suite
This ATGM system represents a clear leap in ATGM technology. Short Range Medium Attack Missile System is controlled via a ruggedized field laptop, with the firer/controller able to track and engage up to three targets simultaneously via up to five pre-placed, wireless interface automatic lauchers. Another soldier has use of the sensor base unit and optics, which identifies and processes target information for use by the controller/firer. Once an observer identifies a target with the optics/sensor suite, it is then handed off to the processing system for tracking. Each launcher can be placed up to 230 meters from the base station and still be 100% effective.
The entire system, or "suite" ships with one base station control unit, one sensor base unit and 3 reuseable launcher units, each containing one KK-43N ATGM. The system is designed to be man-portable and can be moved by a squad of troops, but the system can easily be converted for vehicle mounted applications.
