Padmasa has determined that SAMs are ineffecient and that a Laser or Graser would work much better. However currently Padmasa is years off from it's own laser weapons (3 days RL) and is thus looking for partners in the development of these new weapons. Partners will recieve rights to produce the SALs (Surface to Air Lasers) but not sell them.

Potential advantages with an SAL: better range, ammunition or lack thereof, does not need to be manually reloaded, potentially no need for a human to man the weapon, also usable in ground combat.

Potential disadvantages with an SAL: Massive power consumption, overheating, hard to build in large numbers, energy shielding would make them obsolete to a point.

So, will there be any takers?

I am willing to help with this development. While it may not succeed, much will be learned from the endeavour. A high-security lab is available in Gurian should you wish to work there. Protection and equipment would be readily available.

We are of course willing to send some of our scientists to work their, and will send all information we have currently created, however our main team will have to remain in Padmasa, in an unamed location for security purposes.
