It has F-1001 superjets

These are very advanced engines.

They can be VTOL and Mach 3

Normally they are Mach 4.5....

21-09-2003, 19:11
advanced? well you might want to change the cockpit pic..looks like it came of a sabre!

22-09-2003, 16:24
fuggly?

It looks very VTOLish, and I like the look.
22-09-2003, 16:25
fuggly-F*ckin Uggly. Looks like someone dropped a 100 ton wieght on a Tornado, squished it all out.
22-09-2003, 16:30
lol

I tink it looks ace, and the cockpits roomy....

Now theres an ace looking fighter...
22-09-2003, 16:41
Tornado?

Cmon man, I flew them, I am ex RAF......

Tornado?

Cmon man, I flew them, I am ex RAF......

HAHAHAHAHA...If you are ex-RAF, then why did you just call a Jaguar a Tornado?
22-09-2003, 16:52
Because the two are almost exactly the same from the rear. Same engines on the origonal design, different front, almost the same intakes.

I flew the old style ones, which arent on FAS due to their crappy ROW section.

Its a wierd pic, wierd angle, and they are almost the same design.

RAF Leuchars

56 Squadron

And yes, I know it is a Jaguar, but it is VERY similar to a tornado.

And to tell the truth, I have only seen a Jaguar at the other side of a runway or in the air.
22-09-2003, 17:19
oh yes, and they look nothing like eachother, where did you ever see a tornado with sidewinders on the TOP of the wings?

and they look nothing like eachother from the rear as the tornado has the engines further back and on either side of the tailplanes, wheres the jag has them closer together and more under the fuselage aswell as them being further forward

what version?
22-09-2003, 17:22
Torando, I flew

And attachments exist to mount sidewinders on top of the plane.

So shut up.

I went in for 60 Squadron flying helos, but fancied jets more.

How can you be ex RAF and never see a jaguar properly?
22-09-2003, 17:25
SHUT UP!!!

U in the armed forces.

At Leuchars, the only fighter around is the Tornado.
United Elias
22-09-2003, 17:28
Isnt 56 Squadron a reserve unit?
22-09-2003, 17:33
Uhuh

We did occasional duty aswell, but I was active A LOT.

What?
22-09-2003, 18:08
Rear view please

And I have not seen a Jaguar up close

I am posted in Leuchars.
22-09-2003, 18:12
Ok, fine, you need a rear veiw:

Tornado:

Jaguar:

http://www.airventure.de/riat2002/Sepecat%20Jaguar%20%20RAF%20.jpg

And how can you have never seen a Jaguar up close? I have a friend in the airforce, crew chief for A-10s, but he's seen F-16s up close.
22-09-2003, 18:13
eh? are you dumb or something, the fastest plane in the world only went just above mach 3 and that isn't used anymore because it was too expensive, somehow I don't think vtol can do mach 4 :P
22-09-2003, 18:16
i want it and have $
22-09-2003, 18:20
Actually, a common misconception is that hte SR-71 was the fastest aircraft ever made. The truth is, the fastest aircraft ever made was the X-15, which was rocket powered. Teh SR-71 is the fastest AIR BREATHING aircraft.
22-09-2003, 18:24
yea, I just looked it up, is true, but that guy was still a n00b to say vtol could do mach 3-4.5
22-09-2003, 18:27
but that guy was still a n00b to say vtol could do mach 3-4.5

Oh, agreed there. To tell the truth, + Mach 1.5 flight for anything other than an interceptor is really pointless. I mean, modern day fighters are regulated to CAPs, so why are you gonna fly a preset pattern at mach 4? Its not like the CAP is gonna be done any faster?
22-09-2003, 19:00
This is a ground attack fighter

It is used to interept enemy ground units.

So there.

I'm talking about air to air interceptors you jack ass. Unles syou know someone who has tanks and APCs that go mach 2. Also, you have stil yet to prove to me you were in teh RAF, and are not lying.

I have to agree and 'hyper engine' actually sounds like a n00b godmodding piece of cr*p thats totally unfeasible.

OOC: Uhgly little bugger. Give me a Typhoon or Hawk any day. Planning on selling any of the above some time soon?
22-09-2003, 19:44
Ok

I will put the speed of the plane down, and it will still be a HyperEngine, but in a good sense.

And I am former RAF, left last year, now looking for a job flying Cessna's or something.

Proove it. I can say Im former Delta Force, but that dont men shit. I want a picture of you, standing in front of a Tornado, with a sign that has Screw You NS written on it. SHouldnt be to hard to get for a former RAF pilot.
