Our 3rd landing probe has verified the landing site is suitable and 4 astronauts will be on thier way to the moon, as soon as the rocket is assembled of course. it is currently in 32 large pieces, they will be connected as 8 sub-assemblys and then launched, unfueled by 8 seprate Alpha-Proton XII rocket launches. Two shuttles will bring up fuel. For saftey one will bring up a cargo bay full of hydrogen rocket fuel, the other will be full of nitrogen tetra-oxide. When the rocket, lunar exursion and command/return module are assembled, the large rocket will use electric thrusters to leave the station (loaded with its 4 crew and all supplies inculding a rover) and then dock in high earth orbit with the shuttles one at time recieveing its fuel. The rocket will then ignite and propel the space craft at tremendous speeds toward the moon. The moons gravity will not catch the spacecraft at the speed it will be traveling, so in the "nose" of the space craft is another rocket which will serve as the brake.

More info to come.

~~Caras Copernicus, Menelmacari Isil~~

"Mama," said little Mallenfaigliel, pointing out the window of her family's apartment, out past the curving arch of the dome. "There's another one!"

Orindiel laughed softly, tousling the hair of the ridiculously cute little elf-child, her daughter. "I see it," she answered, peering out at the lunar plains. Indeed, there it was, a small probe, descending to the surface only a few kilometers from the crater-spanning citydome itself. "That's the third one this week. I'm sure the viceroy has it all under con--" But then the oven beeped, and the Elf went back to the kitchen to check on her chocolate-chip lembas. No more was said about the probe.

* the rockets have all been launched into orbit and they are being assembled now.*

Nice moon shots. Any possibility of a lunar rover mission or lunar sample return mission?
24-09-2003, 05:24
Yes as stated in the first post the manned mission which is on its way now includes a rover and will be returning with samples. 2 other missions are planned for the next year.

6 missions have now been completed after taking a 2 year break we are launching a 1 year long duration team to set up a foward base and study the affects of long term moon habitation.
(ooc: any help in this research from current moon dwellers will be appreicated)

Well we could really use some dome building technology
and some detailed scans of the moon's surface and some information on
soil density and composition, it would save us alot of time.

Seeing how my entire nation lives in domes of some type or another, I would suggest that we could offer you the technology you seek. As you can see we have many diffrent types of domes clear and opaque, large and small glass and composites, airtight and breatheable. If you provide specifications, we could construct and test the dome here at the south pole, and then disassemble it and transport it to you in small pieces.

Yes I will take 3 domes with a 5 mile diameter and 2 with an 8 mile diameter, please telegram me your price and deliver them as soon as possible to our launching area.
