Atmospheric conditions are as follws:
Composition: Approx. 66% Carbon Dioxide, 30% Nitrogen, 2% Ozone, 2% Trace Gasses.
Average Surface Pressure: 60B
Average Surface Temperature: 623K

Cloud cover still at 100%

Liquid water stable, small seas have begun to form.

Ozone formation confirmed in upper atmosphere.

(OOC: Apologies to Menelmacar, but you certainly weren't doing anything with the updating.... At least, not that I ever saw.)

Atmospheric conditions are as follws:
Composition: Approx. 68% Carbon Dioxide, 30% Nitrogen, 2% Trace Gasses.
Average Surface Pressure: 50B
Average Surface Temperature: 623K

Cloud cover still at 100%, high-altitude water clouds confirmed.

With the activation of the artificial magnetosphere, ozone decomposition has reduced the ozone layer to Tellurian levels.

Small hypersaline lakes and seas dot the surface, tinted with hydrochloric and flourosulphuric acid.

The crust is undergoing minor thermal stress. Recommend carefully monitoring geologically active areas.

Meanwhile on a far flung, distant world...

The golden masked General looked deeply at the goings-on near Venus with interest. Suddenly, he heard the familiar footfalls of the Emperor entering his Intelligence office.

“Who are we looking at today Klytus?” the emperor queried.

“And obscure body in the SK System Lord Ming,” General Klytus stood out of respect, “I believe the inhabitants refer to it as ‘Venus’.” Klytus’ tone gave the impression that the planet’s name was almost dirty, or at the very least, uncivilized.

Ming the Merciless stepped up to the View-set and adjusted the magnification wheel on the control console to bring the orb into focus. “Another neighbor of the ‘Earth’ we’ve been keeping an eye on?” Ming asked.

“Yes your highness. There seems to be some activity between Earth and this ‘Venus’. The atmosphere is being altered… do you see those lakes there my Lord? It looks as though they are attempting to employ some primitive form of ‘Mongo-forming’. They’ve made little progress, it’s still barely fit for habitation.”

Ming stared at the view-set and observed the newly forming lakes and land masses. Their technology seemed antique, barely able to move about in the void of space, much less pose a threat to the mighty legions of Planet Mongo.

“Shall I dispatch war rocket ‘Ajax’ to investigate your majesty?” General Klytus wondered aloud.

“Perhaps later,” Ming ordered, “For the moment the empire has more pressing concerns. Post another one of your low ranking Intelligence officers to keep an eye on this ‘Venus’, it may prove some entertainment for us at a later date.”

Just a small outpost near Ishtar on the surface, but a few large sections of the Worldring and numerous Barges in orbit, and I'm aiming to get a bit more soon. The Guilds will never have a significant surface presence, though, due to gravity intolerance. How much is owned is somewhat a matter of opinion.

You do know that 623 K is about 662 F? How can liquid water exist on a planet whose avarage temperature is 482 degrees above boiling?

High pressure. 373K is only boiling at 1 bar pressure. At 50 bars, 623 is just straddling the liquid/vapor/supercritical regions. (Assuming, of course, that I'm correctly converting between pascals and bars.)
