Tilsitsin rebuilding the navy! (Spending billions on ships!)

21-09-2003, 00:06
In a massive effort to revitalize a Tilsitsinian economy that is going through a recession and also rebuild it's navy that was largely destroyed in the Panteran War, Marshal Nicholson, Chief of the Tilsitsinian Armed Forces High Command, has authorized a $72 billion navy request for funds that will go towards acquisition of new ships.

Listed below are what the navy is seeking:

1: Fleet Supercarrier
12: Guided Missile Heavy Cruisers
48: Destroyers
16: Minesweepers
8: Fleet Support Vessels

-Please refrain from purely storefront threads, as these will be rejected outright.
-Although those types listed above are primarily what the navy seeks, it is also willing to explore other suitable modern designs.
-This is not a contract contest to be awarded to one manufacturer or country.. The Tilsitsinian navy is planning on purchasing from as many entities as is necessary.

Nuclear sub, the only sound is that of its propellers turning, which is pretty quiet. Carries standard submarine fare, torpedoes and nukes :). One unique addition is GLACORPS docking bay, allowing the sub to carry up to two Minime subs.
Crew: 1 commander, 2 pilots, 5 radar/sonarmen, 3 engineers, 20 assorted crew
Armament:
4 torpedo tubes
8 ICBM missile launchers

Minime class minisubs
9,000,000
http://www.planetdungeonsiege.com/mercilesscreations/images/gallery1/thumb43.gif
Very small subs, about car sized. Its nearly silent, and carries quite a few weapons for its size.
Crew: 1 pilot/gunner/commander, up to four troopers
Armament:
2 micro-torp tubes
1 SAM launcher

Naval marines
10,000
GLAtroopers trained in marine warfare. They carry the GC11NI carbine, and are quite proficent in defending friendly ships. Very similar to our friendly Space marines.

We typicaly sell future tech, but most of these are 'modern' enough to not be considered godmodish, just replace 'Energy cannons' with 16'' guns and everybody will be happy

Super dreadnought- The true power in EB waters, the Super Dreadnought is unmatched in our navy. While shorter than most ships of its class, the Dreadnought is equipped with 12 15" deck guns, giving it a lot of firepower. It can turn another ship, or coastal bunkers into slag very quickly. With various AS and AA weaponry... the Super Dreadnought doesn't really need much of an escort, although it does work better in association with a normal, naval fleet.

Basic Specifications: Length- 817 ft
Speed- 35 knots max
Crew- 984
Weapons- 12 15” Deck guns, 6 5” deck guns, 2 torpedo launchers, 100+ depth charges, various AA and Flak weaponry.

Selling Price: 800 million

At full pitch, using the whole of the deck, from aft to prow, and using the 6-bladedspec-ops prop over the conventional 4-blade. They also used the rocket assistance launch pods. Once again, wing-span is the issue.

AMS-10 Oppressor systems:
-22x Mk-67 20mm Rotary cannon point defense system
-8x Hellion quad-battery AM-4 Shameless ship defense system, each with 48 missiles (12 reloads)

One stand-out system aboard the Sentinel is the FABS (Foam Anti-Breach System) breach-management system that lines all portions of the vessel where water might breach the hull in the event of attack or collision. When activated or after the compartment has been filled halfway with water, the auto-reactive foam particles are ejected into the water and instantly swell and harden, plugging the breach and filling the afflicted compartment with a light composite foam with excellent buoyancy capabilities. In the event that the breach damages the FABS console in a compartment, the foam automatically fires and fills the area.

The Oppressor also has an extremely advanced electronics suite designed to maximize survivability and information flow, as well as disrupt enemy detection efforts. The Goliath II SATDATA imaging system is the primary system for the Oppressor warships, linking in high-speed, multi-spectrum, encrypted data bursts to global satellites to provide an accurate worldwide picture with a zoom enabling the tracking and viewing of objects up to .5m in size. The David IIIS tracking computer works alongside the Goliath and uses the incoming data to create an accurate targeting display and reduces the strain upon the Goliath system. With one simply providing the picture and the other using the data to identify, track and co-ordinate targets, this array is compositely known as the Hercules IV. Each vessel has three Hercules IV tracking systems.

Do you perhaps need some Frigates?

Actually, we do! Post specs if you have them..
Korsar class frigate:
A modernization of the Neustrashimy, it features an armament of either 16 SS-N-25 (similar to harpoon) or 12 Yakhont SSM's. It also has Kahtan and Rif-M SAM. $200/$190* mil.

http://homepage.tinet.ie/~steven/images/1154ship.jpg

Korsar is intended for searching, tracking and engaging enemy surface ships and submarines. It can fight against air threats and fulfill convoy and patrol missions. The ship is capable of staying at sea for a long time and controlling large sea and air space areas.

The ship’s hull is divided by transverse bulkheads into 13 watertight compartments and equipped with active and passive stabilizers. All living quarters and service rooms are air-conditioned to provide a comfortable environment for the crew in all climatic areas the year round.

Korsar’s low noise operation reduces interference with the onboard sonar. The ship’s architecture and other engineering solutions considerably reduce its radar, IR and electromagnetic signatures. Korsar has special equipment providing its protection from fire and high survivability. Project 11541 fully meets all the requirements of international conventions on human life rescue at sea and on environmental protection.

Korsar’s two-shaft COGAG main power plant consists of a cruise component, including two gas turbine engines, two two-speed gearboxes and a cruise reduction accessory making it possible to engage any of cruising engines to both shaft lines; and a boost component comprising two gas-turbine engines and two boost single-speed gearboxes. The maximum engine power amounts to: - 2 x 6,600 kW (2 x 9,000 hp) (cruise engines); - 2 x 14,300 kW (2 x 19,500 hp) (boost engines).

The armament suite provides the ship with a multirole capability and includes target detection, data processing, targeting, and weapon management systems, and weapons proper.

The ship’s brain is the Sigma-E Combat Information and Control System (BIUS) which merges all onboard systems into a single complex and provides for automatic interaction of available assets in defensive and offensive warfare. The main functions of the Sigma-E system include: - preparation and control of combat actions, including search, detection and engagement of enemy submarines, surface ships and coastal targets; - air defense; - anti-submarine warfare; - anti-missile defense; - navigation safety; - control of helicopter on combat missions; - control and support of ship’s survivability.

Korsar’s main weapon is the Uran antiship missile system which comprises 16 missiles in transport/launch containers mounted on four launchers. The missile firing range is 5 to 130 km.

Uran can be replaced by the Yakhont system armed with 12 antiship missiles.

AD missile system
The ship’s artillery consists of the 100mm A-190E multipurpose naval gun mount and the 5P-10E fire control system designed to destroy enemy naval, coastal and aerial targets at a range of up to 20 km. The gun’s rate of fire is 80 rds/min.

Korsar’s air and anti-missile defense is provided by: - the Klinok multichannel AD system comprising one deck-mounted launcher with four launch modules (eight missiles each), and a fire control system which ensures firing at four aerial targets simultaneously. The missiles destroy various types of aerodynamic targets at altitudes of 10 to 6,000 m at a range of 1.5 to 12 km; - the Kashtan gun/missile AD system (two combat modules) with missile storing and reloading systems and a command module equipped with a target detection station. Instead of Kashtan, the ship can be armed with the Palma AD gun/missile system. Both systems can engage aerial targets at a range of 0.5 to 8 km and an altitude of 5 to 3,500 m.

The ship’s anti-submarine armament includes six single-tube stationary torpedo launchers to fire the SET-65E missile-torpedoes (range 5-35 km) and the 53-65KE torpedoes (range 2-19 km); and the RBU-6000 12-tube anti-submarine mortar (range 0.6-4.2 km) firing gravitational underwater projectiles.

Korsar’s self-defense systems also include the MR-407E ECM system, the PK-10 passive jamming system and the DP-65 anti-SEAL system.

The Fregat-MAE-3 radar is used for tracking the air and sea surface situation, detecting aerial and surface targets and supplying targeting data to armament fire control systems.

Anti-submarine weapon systems are targeted by the Zarya-ME sonar equipped with keel-mounted or towed arrays. The sonar is used to: - search and detect submarines; - position targets; - identify targets and provide for underwater communications with submarines; - classify underwater targets; - detect torpedoes; - transmit target coordinates to ASW control systems and the Combat Information and Control System.

Korsar carries a helicopter in a stationary hangar. Depending on the assigned missions, two helicopter versions can be based: a platform for over-horizon targeting for the Uran antiship missile system over a flight range of 200 km, or an ASW platform for searching and engaging enemy submarines.

The Bisonic Defense Initiatives Agency (BDIA) has announced the creation of the Tikhiy (russian for quiet) class stealth destroyer.

In the Bisonic Fleet, it will be the succesor to the Sovremenny.

http://homepage.tinet.ie/~steven/images/dd21_6.jpg
http://homepage.tinet.ie/~steven/images/dd21_5.jpg
http://images.janes.com/defence/naval_forces/news/jni/jni010529_1_p.jpg
DESIGN
Tikhiy has a "tumblehome" hull form, i.e. a design in which hull slopes inward from above the waterline. This will significantly reduce the radar cross section since such a slope returns a much less defined radar image rather than a more hard-angled hull form.

Requirements for the Integrated Deckhouse EDM is that it is fully EMC (Electromagetic Compatibility) shielded with reduced infrared and radar signatures. Measures to fulfil these conditions include an all-composite superstructure, low signature electronically steered arrays, an integrated multi-function mast and low radar and infrared signatures. Other measures to reduce the vessel's infrared signature include the development of an exhaust suppressor.

The Tikhiy has a displacement of 12,000t, with a sustained speed of around 30 knots.

CREW

Tikhiy has a crew of 105, including the helicopter detachment. This represented major theoretical cost saving compared to crew levels of 330 on Spruance destroyers and 200 on Oliver Hazard Perry frigates.

WEAPONS

Tikhiy will have a sensor and weapons suite optimised for littoral warfare and for network centric warfare. Bisonic Engineers have put forward a solution based on a Peripheral Vertical Launch System (PVLS). The solution consists of a number of four-cell PVLS situated round the perimeter of the deck, rather than the usual centrally located VLS. This would reduce the ship's vulnerability to a single hit. Bisonic engineers have developed the Advanced Vertical Launch System (AVLS) that forms the basis of the PVLS.

Missiles carried are the Yakhont-4 (18 ), Rif-M (58 ), and the 2 Kahtan gun/missile can fire various point blank SAMs.

The 152mm gun is able to fire up to 100nm at a sustained rate of 12 rounds per minute. It is equipped with a fully automated weapon handling and storage system and a family of advanced munitions and propelling charges, RADAR

The radar suite will consist of a dual band radar for horizon and volume search, an L-band volume search radar (VSR) integrated with the AN/SPY-3 multi-function radar. The two radars are to be integrated at waveform level for enhanced surveillance and tracking capability. The AN/SPY-3 Multi-Function Radar (MFR) is an X-band active phased-array radar designed to detect low-observable anti-ship cruise missiles and support fire-control illumination for the ESSM and SLAAM missiles.

SONAR

At the heart of the ship's Integrated Undersea Warfare System will be a dual (high frequency/medium frequency) frequency bow array and a multi-function towed array. The Bisonic Navy has already set up the IUSW-21 program to develop technologies including multifunction hull array, mine avoidance and shallow water ASW.

AIRCRAFT

2 Helicopters can be carried.

PROPULSION

The Tikhiy has an all-electric drive with an integrated power system, (IPS) based on in-hull permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMMs) with Advanced Induction Motors (AIM) as a possible backup solution. The provision of electric drive eliminates the need for drive shaft and reduction gears and brings benefits in acoustic signature reduction, an increase in available power for weapon systems and improvements in the quality of life for crew.

The IPS would supply power to other ship systems such as the combat systems and allow the rapid reconfiguration of power requirements.

DRS Technologies Power Technology unit has received development contracts for the PMM motors, electric drive and control system for the IPS. The Rolls-Royce MT30 36MW gas turbine generator set has been selected to power the IPS EDM.

AMS-10 Oppressor Aircraft Carrier

unfortunately, they have now forbidden remote linking. Please just go to the site for the actual picture.

The AMS-10 is the newest aircraft carrier line in the AGNOS Arms inventory. Boasting more aircraft, a larger flight deck and improvements and modernizations, the AMS-10 brings significant firepower to bear for any naval commander. The port elevators were designed specifically with the intention of raising medium bombers to the flight deck, making the AMS-10 capable of launching much larger aircraft than most other carriers. The catapults are rated to propel fully loaded AMB-1 Halo bombers from the decks although such a task is impossible due to the wingspan of the aircraft. However, AMB-3 Havocs CAN be launched and two flights are routinely kept aboard Agnostican vessels. One other improvement is the addition of a fifth catapult, decreasing the amount of time needed to put all aircraft into the air.

With five nuclear reactors powering the ship, the range is unlimited and the near-unlimited power source also allows for innovation to abound with the vessel. Heat from the reactors is collected and dispersed throughout the ship during the colder months and is also used to heat the water for showers, the swimming pool and three hot-tubs. Also, the power is used in flight operations as the four aircraft catapults are all magnetically accelerated instead of the older steam powered systems. By using electromagnetic acceleration, there are fewer maintenance issues and the reliability of the mechanism is increased by over 500%.

When not used for the movement of bombers to the deck, the rear elevator can either be used as two separate lifts, separating about 1/3 of the way, or as one larger lift, supporting up to three fighter aircraft. The deck of the AMS-10 is even larger than that of the AMS-6 Repressor being another 100 feet in overall length and almost 60 more feet wide. Once again we see the use of the FABS (foam anti-breach system) device throughout the composite hull as well as the same hydroponic farms and retractable armor plating that enable those on lower decks to enjoy the sunlight in times of peace. The library of each vessel is delivered to the buyer complete with classical, modern and popular literature as well as “stress relief” sections. This is optional and may be removed per each purchasers request. Further amenities include a mini-mall, a full-sized Olympic pool, three hot tubs and four gyms. The central facility, largest by far also has a 50 foot climbing wall.

Although an increase in size, the improvement of numerous shipboard systems make the Oppressor a more efficient vessel, giving it the ability to support the same overall crew numbers, with only an increase in flight crew.

Defensive armaments are doubled with the Oppressor and each system has an independent targeting computer that is in constant communication with the other systems to prevent system lock-ups and targeting of the same inbound threat.

Constructed of composite materials and plated with chobham-style armor instead of the usual steel and titanium belts, the Oppressor is actually lighter than most other capital ships of similar size and purpose. The hull is separated into 200 different watertight compartments to minimize the damage of anti-ship missiles and the composite materials make for effective heat sinks in the event of a fire.

One stand-out system aboard AGNOS Manufacturing vessels is the FABS (Foam Anti-Breach System) breach-management system that lines all portions of the vessel where water might breach the hull in the event of attack or collision.

These are the two ballistic missile submarines we export.

AMS-86 Apocalypse Class Nuclear Ballistic Missile Submarine
The Apocalypse class of vessel was built to meet Agnosticium's need for a long range, nuclear deterrent that only the ballistic missile submarine can provide. Able to hide in the world's oceans and then strike anywhere it pleases, the ballistic missile submarine has long been a mainstay of any major world power. The Apocalypse simply adds itself to that class of fleet missile submarines.

Built with a triple-hull configuration, this class of submersible can attain depths previously uncharted by fleet ballistic submarines. At 250 meters in length, the Apocalypse is just over 800 feet... almost three football fields long. The titanium hull is extremely flexible and strong to allow the submarine to go to depths in excess of 700 meters. The triple screws, each powered by its own reactor can drive the Apocalypse through the water at a maximum speed of 37 knots, submerged.

The destructive capability of the Apocalypse class of ships is considerable, whether nuclear or conventional. Able to carry forty AM-667 Scourge ballistic missiles, these submarines can lay waste to any nation. Each AM-667 is capped with a 6 250kT-warhead bus with independent targeting, shielding and terminal guidance, enabling a single missile to destroy six cities within a 300 mile radius. Each Satan missile can be replaced by its conventional counterpart, the AM-668 Shade which uses the same body, rocket and guidance package but only carries a single 15,000lb combination conventional/fuel-air-explosive warhead. The forward VLS system can also carry up to 16 AM-2 MAW or AM-12 CHAOS missiles for anti-shipping or coastal assault. Six forward torpedo tubes with a basic load-out of 36 Mk-44 torpedoes rounds out the armament.

AMS-77 Whitetip Class Diesel Electric Ballistic Missile Submarine

The AMS-77 was designed to provide the Agnostican Navy with an efficient yet deadly nuclear weapons platform without the cost of a nuclear reactor. Running on batteries, the Whitetip is quieter than even the quietest nuclear submarine and its ability to dive further than most other ballistic missile submarines gives it an advantage while evading detection.

Able to carry up to twenty ballistic missiles in her dorsal bay, the AMS-77 has the potential to rain death upon 60 different targets. Each AM-666 Satan ballistic missile has a bus of three 200kiloton nuclear warheads that can independently target objectives within a 200 mile radius of the central target.

As with all diesel-electric submarines made by Agnos Arms, the battery operated back-up systems are more efficient than that of the primary diesel system, giving the vessel superior handling and control while using its most silent propulsion means.

The United States Navy is VERY interested in purchasing some of these vessels. But before we do a few questions.
1. It can support F-18s and F-14s plus F-22s and F-15s and other normal Naval Fighters and support craft?
2.Can MIGs and Su-37s be launched from them?
3. How big is a havoc so we know for our bombers?
21-09-2003, 14:57
By the way, there buddy, no air craft carrier can launch an F-22. F-22's are only used in the airforce,
they do not have the ability to launch from carriers.
However, the F-35 can, it is basically the Navy's version of the F-22.

Actually the F-35 is the naval variant of the JSF. And the F-22 CAN be carrier launched, it just requires specific structural enhancement and reinforcement. They, in fact, created three naval prototypes to determine feasibility of the F-22 as a carrier-borne aircraft and simply decided that it's role as fighter was ill-suited to carrier operations as more multi-role aircraft and true interceptors were desired.

With my huge runway on the ship, wingspan is only really a problem.

Tu-22's with folded wings can fit on it, and it is a great advanage being able to get heavy supplies on and off in a C130, with can also land on it....

Unless you are planning some sort of Dolittle 1 way bombing run putting B-1B's on carriers is arguably one of THE dumbest ideas ever, they take up so much space and use 4x as much fuel as the other aircraft. I can't even comprehend someone trying to land a B-1B on a carrier. Think of all the space, the stall speed of a B-1B is also way to high for carrier use. Maybe there is a reason that no 4 engine aircraft operate from carriers.

Well, second only to putting a 4 barreled gatling gun on top of your tank's turret, then saying you can't blow up it's ammo. Also that gatling gun would give it a huge-ass silhohette. And who controls all these massive weapons systems on the FC tanks?

One stand-out system aboard AGNOS Manufacturing vessels is the FABS (Foam Anti-Breach System) breach-management system that lines all portions of the vessel where water might breach the hull in the event of attack or collision.

By the way, there buddy, no air craft carrier can launch an F-22. F-22's are only used in the airforce,
they do not have the ability to launch from carriers.
However, the F-35 can, it is basically the Navy's version of the F-22.

Thanx smart arse but i have F-22S which are sea ones for certain carriers along with normal ones for land based use!

Hearing of your naval situation, the Incorporated State of Aaronthepissedoff has authorized the immediate transfer of 70 Nightwraith class patrol craft to your navy.

Expect the shipment within two days, and statitistical information and reapir specailists in its systems to be transferred as well.

We hope to open up further trade negotiations and hope this gift will provide a littlle more interest in our products.

The EM-50 Minehunter class represents the latest technology incoporated into a vessel small enough to manouver effectively yet large enough to operate in the open Ocean with a fleet.

DESIGN

The hull of the EM-50 Class minehunter is built almost entirely of non-magnetic materials and are designed to resist high shock levels. Manoeuvrability is controlled, either manually or automatically, by using the Ship Position Control System (SPCS) developed by Elias Aerospace

Low magnetic materials have also been used elsewhere such as stainless steel, aluminium alloys and copper alloys for fastening and mounting systems. In addition all the electric motors are of low magnetic material content and have compensated stray fields. The machinery spaces comprising the main engine room, auxiliary machinery room and the diesel generator room are located between main watertight bulkheads in the stern. The diesel generator room is located on the main deck in order to minimise noise below the waterline.

The remotely operated mine disposal vehicle (ROV) launch and recovery area is on the afterdeck which is equipped with two cranes. A closed hangar provides storage and maintenance facilities for the ROVs and support facilities for divers, including two rigid inflatable boats fitted with silent outboards and a decompression chamber.

MINE COUNTERMEASURES

The ship has a fully integrated minehunting and mine disposal management system which is able to detect, classify, identify and destroy any type of mine within an operating depth of 300m. The system has the ability to record and save all operating data for future use. The system includes two underwater Remote Control Mine Disposal Vehicles . The vehicle is controlled via a 2300m fibre-optic cable. A lighting system, low light level black and white camera and a colour camera are fitted. The vehicle is also fitted with a high-resolution sonar. The sensor data is transmitted back to the operations control centre on the ship. The main payload is a 100kg mine disposal charge which can be replaced by a manipulator. Wire cutters are used to release moored mines from the column of water above the sea bed. The mine disposal vehicles can be deployed to a depth of 375m.

COUNTERMEASURES

The ship is equipped with two lightweight decoy launchers, the launchers are capable of dispensing infrared decoys and chaff in confusion, distraction and centroid seduction modes of operation.

SENSORS

The sonar system is a variable depth sonar which is deployed from a well in the hull. The sonar is a multifunction system operating in VLF and VHF bands. The type employs five arrays for mine search and classification modes of operation.

PROPULSION

The ship has an advanced propulsion system with very low magnetic and acoustic signatures, each developing 2,500 sustained horsepower. The engines are fitted with degaussing coils.

The propellers are non-magnetic and silent running. The material is mainly stainless steel with bronze/composite blades. The ship also has two bow thrusters for postion holding and port manouvering. The diesel engines provide a maximum speed of 23 knots and the ship's speed is 8 knots on the silent electric drive.
