The twelve primary leaders of the Imperial Liberation Movement (ILM), meet in a safe location on New Edo's southern island continent of Formosa. Their are six former officers in the Imperial Army, two former New Edo Deep Space Navy fleet commanders, and four members of former Council of Daimyos.
"The time to begin our final insurrection against the bastard Ortagans has come," says Sho-sho Kudaki. "Most of the units remaining on New Edo are Ortagan military police. The majority of the remaining Elite Guard and Atlas Wing units stay in the cities on Sinkian, Manchuko, and New Honshu. On Formosa and on the island chians of Ryuayu, Ogasawara, and Kagoshima mainline military presence is light. If we can strike fast, we can overwhelm the Ortagan military left here and the traitorous scum in the New Edo Protectorate Militia."
"But what about the Empire of Valinon?" says Diamyo Hatashii.
"Valinon is distracted in its own politics, and mired in the quagmire of Terran affairs on Earth. They won't be able to send that much assistance to the Ortagans. Besides, relations between the Empire and the Ortagans have been growing strained," the old Tai-sho Kakita mumbles.
"This is our time to retake the destiny of New Edo. The only reason the Ortagans declared war on us is because Valinon said they let them keep New Edo as a trophy in order to stop us from supporting the Dominion of Outer Centauri," young Tai-sa Shojuko retorts.
Sho-sho Kudaki continues, "Besides, it would take the Ortagans a week to marshall a large response from Proxima Centauri. Three from Gadsen, but their military assets there are not that strong. The only other threat would be the possibility of the Solar Navy 5th Squadron arriving from Saint Ives, and even that would take four days. By then we could secure Formosa and the Southsward Islands, and be moving to retake the northern continents.
Diamyos Hatashii, Taihoku, Shojuko, and Aogoshima confer amongst themselves. Several minutes later, Taihoku, most powerful of the remaining non-Ortagan puppet diamyos stands.
"Begin to make the necessary preparations, Tai-sho Kakita," the old marshall nods sagely.
"It will be done, My Lord Diamyo."
Taihoku lets his eyes sweep across the assembled warlords, "We will try to contact other nations, and see if any would be willing to support our attempt to retake our planet. In eight days time, we will make ready to strike against the Ortagans."

Anything you are willing to give. New Ortaga has kept our world in an iron-fist, and if Valinon supports them that because a titanium fist very quickly. But the primary thread for this will be in the NationStates section.

There is something that makes me feel very "curious"... :wink:

We have the utmost face in our Ortagan allies. And if necessary we will crush any rebellion as we crushed New Edo's Dominion cousins in our home system.

OOC: Personally, I told New Ortaga he should have put a bullet in all their leaders head, including their Emperor, and just made a forthright annexation of the deal. But he settled for this, so now I consider it to be largely his problem. And he wants to deal with this himself.

If it gets out of hand, we will put our newly-bought battlecruiser over the orbit of the battle, and fire away at the enemy. Just say when :P

1.)The Dominion of Outer Centauri sells a group of Japanese colonists space technology, in return for an alliance.


2.) The Empire of New Edo openly supports the Dominion of Outer Centauri in its war against the Empire of Valinon. (The Outer Dominion Wars)

3.) The Empire of Valinon says the will allow the Grand Duchy to make a Protectorate of New Edo in return for "removing its support" from the Dominion's side.

4.) The Empire of New Edo falls to the Grand Duchy of New Ortaga. The Treaty of New Kyoto is signed on New Edo. New Edo official becomes a protectorate of the Grand Duchy. The Emperor is left as the nominal head of state, with an Ortagan Planetary Governor appointed to oversee Ortagan interests. Original Council of Diamyo's dissolved by Imperial Decree. Diamyos relegated to honorary role, most become Ortagan puppets. Imperial Congressional Assembly formed.

5.) Ortagan Elite Guard, Atlas Wing, and Cronos Guard oversee disarmament of New Edo. Military police and newly formed New Edo Militia become only armed force of the Protectorate of New Edo.

6.) All New Edo corporations are placed under the control of the Grand Duchy.

7.) Imperial Liberation Movement formed, intial terrorists actions put down by Ortagan troops, working with forces of the Emperor and the Assembly.

8.) Ortagan colonial empire begins to crumble, reduced from four worlds to three.

9.) Ortagan authorize establishment of Valinon orbital stations in New Edo system.

10.) Emperor authorizes Ortagan strip mining on Manchuko.

11.) Imperial Congressional Assembly dismissed by Planetary Governor Pembroke. New Edo placed under complete martial law for five years. Ortagans seize most of New Edo's natural resources, all newly formed New Edo corporations completely dissolved.

12.) Martial law ends, ILM believed to be defunt. Ortagans declare New Edo completely secured for the future of Ortagan interests.

13.) Ortagan military units withdrawn from Formosa and Southsward island chains. Replaced by Military Police and Militia units. Ortagan troops in the north begin gradual withdrawal. Replaced with Military Police.

I will support your cause; however not directly (not through military means) i will support you through humanitarian aid, or financial support. However, Rastizir is new and is not very strong. I will provide the help that I can.

In the capital of the Formosa province, rioting breaks out. The riots have been carefully orchestrated by the ILM. They rage across Tainan, threatening the government sectors of the city. Some are armed, but most carry only signs and scream out against the continued occupation and dominance of the Grand Duchy of New Ortaga over the formely independent planet of New Edo.
From atop a shutdown Edo factor, Tai-sa Shojuko watches the havoc caused by the riots. But he knows what the true purpose of the riots are, a mere cover for another operation. For so long the Ortagans have thought themselves immune from the weapons of New Edo, and now it is time to prove them wrong.
A squad of eight of his best men have taken positions in a building near the Ortagan Provinical Affairs Office. The building is guarded by a contingent of Ortagan Military Police, all well armed. The riots have tended to aoid this building, especially since now two Ortagan Saggitarius-class light tanks guard it. Along with three Sanoy-class infantry fighting vehicles. But from atop their perch, the snipers of this quad can see directly into the window of Regional Secretary Dogdson's office. The roof is for now unguarded, the Military Police office gone back inside after his first patrol circuit around the roof was completed.
The snipers have eighteen minutes before he returns from his sweep of the sixth floor of the building. The squad leader lines his Solon long-scope rifle up, he inhales then exhales slowly. Remaining lose, and taking his time to line up this shot. Dogdson is unsuspectingly in the dead site of an assassins weapon. The assassin blinks once, twice, then he fires.

An emergency press conference has been scheduled, and viewers across the Grand Duchy of New Ortaga, its colonies, and orbital stations across the stars have all tuned in to see. They have all heard the rumors, of revolt and rebellion stirring across the Protectorate of New Edo. And lately, reports have been confirmed that an Ortagan, Regional Secretary Dogdson, has been murdered by New Edo rebels.
All the major news network are carrying this, and then the eagle and crest shield of House Corrin with the Ortagan tri-color banner waving in the background appears. The view switches to that of Prime Minister Jorge Fremont, head of the Corrin Loyalist and Ducal Conservatives government coalition that currently holds power in the House of Commons.
"It is my sad duty to inform you that the reports of the death of Regional Secretary Dogdson on New Edo is true. He was assassinated by members of a New Edo terrorist organization seeking to destroy the legitimate government of New Edo, and upset Emperor Kagato's relationship with the Grand Duchy of New Ortaga. I have held conferences with Archduke Raphael III, Senior Senator Baron Osric of the House of Lords, and Governor Penbroke of New Edo. Together we have decided on a course of action regarding this situation."
Fremont looks very tired as he takes a short breath, "As of today, martial law has been declared in the Protectorate of New Edo. Any people assosciated with the group known as the Imperial Liberation Movement will be detained and held accountable for their actions. They will face a military tribunal of the martial law council of New Edo. Additional units of the Elite Guard, Atlas Wing, and Epsilon Wing will be sent to New Edo to enforce this decree. They will work with members of the Imperial Militia on New Edo, as well as the New Ortagan Military Police. The Grand Duchy of New Ortaga will ensure that the Protectorate of New Edo remains safe and secure."
Fremont's image dissipates, and soon the networks are filled with politcial commentators speaking for or against this actions. Even some that say that New Ortaga should withdraw from New Edo entirely.

Meanwhile, on New Edo, Governor Penbroke moves quickly to enforce this new decree from the New Ortagan homeland. All units of the Elite Guard, Atlas Wing, Cronus Guard, and Ortagan Military Police are activated. Military Police and Imperial Militia are used to put down the riots spreading across Formosa and the Southsward Island chains. In three seperate cities, deadly forced was used and it is suspected that over 75 casualties resulted from policing actions. The Imperial Congressional Assembly is disbanded by the offical order of Emperor Kagato, and co-signed by Governor Penbroke. Then the following decree is issued and posted:

Martial Law Subject Declarations:
1.) Official Curfew of 08:00 New Edo Local Time is here by in effect. Only
Imperial Militia, Military Police, and Ortagan officers are immune to
this curfew. Violators will be detained and imprisoned.
2.) All persons believed to be party to the terrorist group called the
Imperial Liberation Movement will be detained and imprison until such
time they face a military tribunal.
3.) All inter-system travel by New Edo locals is here by suspended for the
duration of martial law. Official Ortagan traffic will continue.
4.) All intra-system travel is here by suspended for the duration of
martial law. Official Ortagan traffic will continue.
5.) All Regional Secretaries are authorized to use extreme force if
necessary to quell these illegal riots and terrorist actions.
6.) All New Edo local government functions are here by suspended. Their
functions will be handled by the New Ortagan local administration.

All of the aforementioned decrees are done at the request of His Majesty, Emperor Kagato of New Edo.
