Bowing to intense international pressure, Brezhnekov reversed an earlier decision today and halted the withdrawal of Whittier troops from West Ukraine, ordering Whittier troops to engage Russian troops.
Meantime, Whittierites who were discharged from the military were being ordered back to duty. The official reason was to reduce the unemployment rate.
It is unknown where Whittier is getting the money for this but there is speculation.
