Chapter II
Origins of the Attican Peninsula

Section I: European Peninsula
The Attican Peninsula used to be connected to Europe. But, around 40,000 years ago, major tectonic forces began ripping the peninsula from Europe. 20,000 years ago, the continent was nearly complely severed, nary for a land bridge.

Section II: Land Bridge
After the severing, there was still a land bridge connecting Attica and Europe.

Chapter III
First Peoples

Section I: People first move to Attica
Around -7000, the first people arrived in Attica. They were obviously of Germanic descent, probably of the Berlinish tribes. They shared the language and customs of their German counterparts.

Section II: Formation of the tribal culture
Once the population of the Attican peninsula reached around 20,000 people, tribes began to form. Some of the notable ones include the Attiscons, the Obnons, the Zonnons, and the Saxons (who were the last Germanic tribe to arrive). Around this time, the land bridge connecting Europe to the Attican Peninsula and FPC was severed.

Chapter IV
The Roman Era

Section I: Pre-Roman Invasion
In -090xxxx, Roman ambassadors arrived on the Attican peninsula. They were shocked to find a society similar to that of the Germans, expect for more diverse. They returned with such shocking news to the Roman emperor. Trade began with Roman merchants around this time.

Section II: Roman Invasion, the Romus Wars
In -084xxxx, the Romans invaded the Attican Peninsula. An army led by Julius Cinna easily decimated the tribe-like armies of the southern states and the northern states. Periods of guerilla warfare lasted from -080xxxx to -060xxxx, but the rebels were finally but down.

Section III: Roman Prosperity
Now officially part of the Roman Empire, the city of Attica was named the capital of the province. Obviously playing a major part in Attican affairs, the city was one of the most important cities on the Attican peninsula. Technology boomed in Attica during this time.

Section IV: Fall of the Roman Empire
In 020xxxx, Roman troops began leaving the Attican peninsula. Roman Senators of Attica struggled to keep the Attican peninsula under control, but again, the Roman Empire fell in Attica, as it had in many other areas around the world.

Chapter V
The Barbarian Age

Section I: End of Roman Influence
Although the Roman Empire had officially abandoned the peninsula, Roman governors were still in place in many of the former provinces. This was all about to change, with the coming of the barbarians hordes.

Section II: Bemphlos Sturmann
In 040xxxx, the barbarian king Bemphlos Sturmann invaded the Attican Peninsula with a band of tribes from northern Germany known as the Vandal-Saxons. They invaded southern Attica first, and, by 042xxxx, had deposed all of the Romans.

Section III: Tyranny
The now King Sturmann vanquished Roman customs. He established pagan churches and began militias. He tortured and murdered those who went agaist his wishes.

Section IV: Fall of the Barbarian Empire
In 052xxxx, King Bemphlos Sturmann died. With him, his Empire followed suit. The remaining lords split up into their own provinces.

Chapter VI
The Christian Age

Section I: Missionaries
In 092xxxx, Roman Catholic missionaries arrived on the south Attican coast. They were greeted by several hostile tribes, generally pagan. Within 100 years, the majority of southern tribes were converted to Christianity, while, the North was not. If anything, the North was more Atheist then Christian.

Section II: The Catholic War
In 102xxxx, Attican Bishop Peter Stulm, of the Southern states, asked the Pope for permission to declare a crusade against the pagan Northern states. The Pope agreed to the request. On 1030423, A southern army, led by now-famous Onaman general Adolf Stumm, led an assault on the northern states. They easily overpowered the scattered states of the north, and were only halted at the city of Attica. The Attican army was held in the opposing armies grip for 4 years, held under siege in Attica. Finally, on 108xxxx, the Atticans, starving, were forced to surrender to the Catholic army.

Section III: Fall of the Catholic Church
In 203xxxx, an Attiscan royal, Mikal von Petinski, began a crusade against Catholicism. He was able to create a revolt in many of the Northern states by telling them of the atrocities commited by the Catholic church during and after the Catholic war. With the northern states in revolt, Mikal von Petinski was able to assemble an army, and wage war with the South. In 232xxxx, the Catholic states officially surrendered, and the Catholic church no longer existed on the Attican peninsula.

Chapter VII
Middle Ages

Section I: 200 states

On the relatively small Atticos peninsula, following the decline of the influence of the Roman Catholic church, the peninsula was left in turmoil. There were over 200 states. Atticos, Obnama, Zossen, none were even thought of yet. Several states attempted unification efforts with states next to them, but wars always broke these unities apart.

Section II: Otto von Kuklinski

A royal in the Attiscan territory, in 340xxxx he founded a new monarchy in the territory, whos primary objective was to stay neutral in the affairs of other territories. This gave him standing among surrounding territories, who wanted to join with the Attiscans in order to help preserve themselves. Another territory, far south, called Onamos, did something similar, but used force to aquiret these territories.

Section III: Atticos and Obnama

With the growing size of these two states, and the fact that new cities were added to their holdings, they were forced by public opinion to change their names. Attisca became Atticos, while Onamos became Obnama.

Chapter VIII
Era of Prosperity

Section I: Regional Dialects

With the increase of influence of Atticos and Obnama on the Attican peninsula, regional ties began to form. Starting around 741xxxx, Atticos stretched its influence upon the northern part of the peninsula, while Obnama spread its influence on the southern half. They both had their own language dialects (Nordatticos and Dunkelatticos), their own cultures, et cetera. Atticosian merchants, around this time, began trading with foreign nations.

Section II: The Confederations

Both of the nations created federations with their culturally similar counterparts. In 750xxxx, Atticos created the Atticos Confederation, and Obnama created the Obnamian Alliancein 752xxxx. They were both military alliances. By this time, both Atticos and Obnama had large militaries, numbering in the tens of thousands.

Section III: Political Breakdown

Around 909xxxx, the politics of the Attican peninsula began to break down, mainly due to the introduction of new technologies. Several states declared themselves independent of both federations, and the power of the two great states began to decline. This action led to the Atticos Wars.

Chapter IX
The Atticos Wars

Section I: The First Atticos War

The origins of the Atticos wars are blatant, so to speak. In 9110322, the first Atticos war began. It was a bloody war, faught around the time period known as World War I. The Attican peninsula was, at that time, divided into many states, 53 to be exact. All were ruled by minor princes. There was no central Empire or Emperor at this time, bringing a form of lawlessness. There was also much fighting between the states during this period. The war began when the territory of Obnama, a southern Attican state, declared itself a new Attican Empire, and annexed the states next to it. The states, falling under intense Obnamian military action, called to the other Attican states for help, particularly Atticos, Zimdaal, and Osterland. For 10 years, the combat went on, until the state of Atticos won a major battle in the Atticos Forest, pushing the Obnamian military back. Along the way, the Atticos army claimed much land. When the Obnamian military was finally defeated, the Atticosians annexed the land that Obnamia had controlled, including the other states they had captured. There were only 12 states now. This enraged the other states, and for 12 years, military build-up ensued.

Section II: The Second Atticos War

In 9330729, war broke out again. The Atticosians, beleiving to be the dominant power on the peninsula, declared themselves the leaders of the peninsula. The states of Zetrassen and Astico both contested this, and the Second Atticos War began. After 6 years of bloody combat, the Atticosian army won a major battle in the Zentur Forest, capturing 20,000 Astican PoWs. After another successful offensive, the Atticosians finally defeated the Astican army. Zetrassen signed the Treaty of Attica on 9390228.

Section III: The Third Atticos War

Years after the Second Atticos War, the Attican peninsula had been rather calm. Until, Zetrassen, out of nowhere, began building up its military. By this time, Zetrassen and Atticos were the only remaining states. Kaiser Michael I, of Atticos, alarmed by this, began operations to fortify the border. Then, Zetrassen attacked. Thousands of Zetrassian regulars (regular infantry) were killed, but they broke thru the defenses in the middle of the peninsula, the worst tactical position for Atticos. The Kaiser sent his best troops, the Kaiserheer, to attempt to plug the gap, with Reichsluftwaffe support to cover it. They succeded in covering the gap, and 4 years of trench warfare ensued in that one small part of land. Then, the Zetrassians decided to attack. They broke a gap in the northern part of Atticos, alarmingly close to the Atticosian capital of Attica City. They advanced within 10mi of the city, before they were finally turned back by Atticosian regulars. Zetrassen struggled to even out the troops on different fronts, and the weakened troops at the first break collapsed. Atticosian troops poured onto the Zetrassian countryside, advancing towards their capital of Addison. The city was captured on 0030722. On 0030722, Kieser (south Attican dialect) Schmenkoppf signed the Treaty of Addison, signalling the unconditional surrender of Zetrassen.

Section IV: Unity

With a firm grip on the Attican continent, Kaiser Michael I declared Atticos the head of the new Attican Empire. Several nations protested, as did a few states. There were revolts in the streets, but the new Reichswehr was able to contain the riots, and they died down over the next few days.

Chapter X
Reconstruction

Section I: Foundations of the Attican Empire

Now with near-total control of the Attican Peninsula, Kaiser Michael I began rebuilding several major areas of society, especially Welfare, Education, and the Military. The mainstay of the Attican militaries of the fleet, the Regulars, were disbanded, in favour of a divisions system. The Reichswehr, the Reichsluftwaffe, the Reichskriegmarine, and the Kaiserheer were formed, as well as was the Generelstab. The police forces were replaced by military trained police forces known as the Reichspolizei. The education system was modified greatly, making the Attican Empire one of the best places for schooling in the world. Many public works were started, and official imperial diplomacy began with the Attican Peninsula's southern neighbor, the Empire of FPC.

Section II: Destruction of Greenpeace

Part of the Kaiser's unity operations were to destroy the now-known to be terrorist organization known as Greenpeace. Official Greenpeace buildings in Attica were destroyed, their workers interned, interrogated, imprisoned, and tried for treason, and Greenpeace protests were met with violence by the Kaiserheer. 1000 men were found guilty of treason, and were executed.

Section III: Peacekeeping in FPC

Rebellions began to spring up in the Empire of FPC after a communist Emperor came to the throne. Asking for assistance from nearby nations, the Attican Empire was the first to come to the nations aid. Many men were sent and died in the conflict. Attica's involvement officially ended with the breakdown of the Emperor's Alliance.

Section IV: H&A War

Due to nuclear weapons utilized by the nation of HarmonyAndAetheism, a coalition of forces from Bumplords, Hitlers Nazi Army, and the Attican Empire dispatched to H&A.

In a series of bloody conflicts, H&A was completely disarmed and occupied. Vast nuclear stores were captured and demolished. The country was split into 3 pieces, Attica occupying the Uranium-rich southern half, now known as Osterdistrikt. Brief fighting occurred via Bumplords and the Attican Army in H&A over territorial disputes, but was quickly ended.

Section V: The First Attican War

Known by Attican historians as the First Attican War, the entire war was started by a mistake in the Reichsgehemdienst. In an attempt to halt the advance of Democracy, 2 assassins were sent to The Weegies, in an attempt to murder their leader. McLeodian forces dispatched in the area apprehended the assassins.

Historians are not completely sure what happened next, but wars were declared, and a coalition of forces, mainly led by Bumplords, Talaax, and McLeod03, attacked the Attican Empire. In a desperate attempt to get McLeod out of the picture, an air raid by fighters was commenced by the Attican Empire. Paratroopers were dropped behind enemy lines*1 in McLeod. The war ended with a truce on 0030826.

Section VI: The Great Massacre

Immediately following the truce, Talaaxian peacekeeping forces arrived in multiple Attican cities, except for Attica city. A peace delegate from all of the involved countries had convened in Attica City, with the Federation of Autonomous City-States as the mediator. At first, all seemed to go well, until the Kingdom of McLeod03 stole the Schliessen, an Attican Battleship. The Attican's, using a remote scuttling mechanism, destroyed the Schliessen, and all McLeodian hands aboard. Following McLeodian reprisals in sanctions, the peace talks broke down. After much wait, the mediator stated that the talks were over, and that the war could continue. The Emperor placed assassins at the delegation's transports, and many were killed. The fighting ensued for 3 days, until, by some stroke of luck, a truce was reached with the Taalaxian King, keeping the war against them from continuing. Historians are not sure why ACS or McLeod did not continue the war, they still consider it a stroke of luck that the Attican Empire is still alive. Afterwards, the Talaaxian peacekeepers left the country.

Chapter XI:
A New Emperor's

Section I: The Death of Michael I

Immediately following the Great Massacre, Kaiser Michael I was found murdered in his palace. Reichsgehemdienst pointed fingers at McLeod03, but was unable to prove any of their allogations. Michael I's only heir, Michael II, ascended the throne.

Section II: The Great Military Debacle

Overestimating his strength, and claiming a war against terrorism, Kaiser Michael II invaded the Rogue Nation of Terristan 0030726. Over 20,000 men were sent. But, because of the lack of naval support and supply routes, a fleet sent by the Rogue Nation of Jaiklia basically trapped the Attican Expeditionary Force. Trapped with no supplies, many fought to the death, many surrendered. From the reports we have received, the Rogue Nation of Terristan murdered all of the PoWs by testing new chemical and bio-weapons on them.

Section III: Military Reorganization

Following this major defeat, Kaiser Michael II ordered a 10 year reconstruction plan of the Attican Military. It would rebuild their tactics, require new equipment, and more.

Section IV: Breakdown of the Emperor's Alliance

By this time, rebellions in the Empire of FPC were becoming fairly common. Attican officials, seeking a reason for these rebellions, declared a secret truce with the rebels. Learning that the FPC Emperor was originally one of them, they supplied the rebels with arms and equipment. This led to a near world war where many people on all sides of the conflict (ACS, McLeod, FPC, Dark Terror) would have died.

Chapter XI
Kaiser Otto Petinski

Section I: The Death of Michael II

On 0030724, Kaiser Michael II suffered a serious stroke, paralyzing him for life. He had no heirs, and his closest living relative was from the other side of the family, the Petinski's. Otto Petinski was a militarist by heart. Once Kaiser, he reorganized the military again, and began massive research projects, leading to the AF-100 and the King Leopard.

Section II: The End of the Emperor's Alliance

On 0030818, the Empire of FPC cancelled the Emperor's Alliance with the Attican Empire. This caused a near world war to occur, but luckily, Kaiser Otto Petinski backed down.

Very good indeed.
20-09-2003, 15:56
When exactly did the 3rd Attican War begin? That was about the only possible fault I found in it.
20-09-2003, 17:15
We really dont know when it began. The problem was there was no declaration of war, so historians debate whether it started when they began moving towards the border, when they crossed it, and even then the records are blotchy.

I added some more chapters.

It's a good read, but you didn't mention the (brief) Talaaxian occupation in that section of the history.

True. That was right before the Massacre, ja?

You forgot to add that yourself you would have died if you would've fought in the near world war because you funded rebels in FPC. Also, allegations that emperor Komarninski was a rebel are totaly false. Is brother was one but not the emperor.

No, its in there. Plus, thats an ATTICAN history book. If you want to refute it, write one for FPC.
