The original intention was to actually carpet bomb the capital. Our military planners then decided to spare the civilians, and then went ahead with the second plan, in hope to cause panic among them enough to riot or something like that.

I tried to get into the fray on the first day without checking the facts, and people made fun of me. :( You'll have to wait for a while before you can make any sort of an advance like this.

Not only did the crazy bastard only have 20 men, he was armed with muskets and swords and horses! Any backland hick with a rifle could take on and slaughter his forces.
