Carthage Settlement, 17-Sept. -- President Nicholas Everdale, clad in a black suit and red tie, spoke at a fundraiser in Carthage Settlement this afternoon, raising an estimated 450,000 cyra.

Carthage Settlement, a town that suffered heavy shelling during the Alcardian Civil War, has become a symbolic spot of pilgrimage for politicians, and the town that all politicians must win in hopes of sweeping the Alcardian vote in the Delegate Campaigns.

In the last election, Carthage's majority voted for President Everdale. Since Carthage is the first to turn in election results, many Alcardian cities follow with the views of Carthage, and responded with a 81% majority in favor of President Everdale.

"It's great to see that Carthage is still moving on," Everdale said at the fundraiser luncheon. "You were pounded by the joint bombs of the Rana Army and the Liberation Front, but you still keep moving on. Carthage is symbolic of the state of mind all Alcardians and all RAS member nations should have towards life and politics."

Only three times since the creation of the nation of Alcardia, which has since fallen and rebirthed itself as Reformed Alcardia, has a candidate that has lost Carthage gone on to win the U.N. Delegacy and, in effect, the Alcardian Presidency.

Artemi Rana, grandfather of tyrant Arden Rana, succeeded in gaining the position for three terms despite popularity in Carthage only reporting at 37%.

"It's early yet," Everdale said with a confident laugh. "Campaigning for the seat begins October the eighth. It's never too early to start filling the coffers and filling the hearts of the Alcardians with a view of what the great future holds for us all."

Encartia, 17 Sept. -- Roasting under the hot afternoon sun, President Nicholas Everdale, leader of the Reformed Alcardia, openly preached his mind to the war torn people of Carthage during his fundraising luncheon. The city and its people, still feeling the wounds suffered during the Alcardian Civil War, watched still and patiently.

"It's great to see that Carthage is still moving on," said the hopeful new president to the war-weary people. "You were pounded by the joint bombs . . . but you still keep moving on."

In the Hodgemaster capital of Encartia, President Jay Edgar Dellwood addressed the nation from his office:

"What lies before us, is a new era," spoke the president, "One of victory and prosperity. The people of Carthage are living proof of this new beginning; people who were once ripped apart by our ancestors are now pledging alliegence to the Reformed Alcardia and are accepting our culture."

Although the election decision is not final, Alcardia has a huge advantage, winning the support of 81% of the population. This victory in Carthage could prove to be the key President Everdale despritely needed for winning the delegation.

Election Fact - While President Everdale has seemingly captured Carthage Settlement for his October campaign, there is still a considerable amount of time for election views to change. The last candidate to secure Carthage but lose the elections was Gen. Morgan Darkell, who ran against then unknown candidate Arden Rana. A strong candidate from another nation could topple Everdale's administration, as it has shown key weaknesses in gaining voters out of the nation.
