Good evening world. This is the Voice of the Duchy.
At 8:00 today, the official periodic election for parliament house was rigged. The tiny right wing facist party HU (Human Unison) was elected, and set about turning our country into a dystopian nightmare.
The people are yet to respond in earnest. Soon we shall give a sign as to when they should. Until then, all military/food/medical aid to the underground will be much apreciated. Until then, we'll stop the government from doing anything too drastic.

An Imperial Delegate is arriving in the Anrocan capital of Don tonight, to the Embassy, by helicopter, supported by ten fighters. He will speak to the Duchess tomorrow, if she can be contacted. The Empire would request authority to send in peacekeepers, or to mediate the dispute in the embassy, to stop a full blown civil war.

We hav paradropped our emergency response team into the area. They will help counter any martial law enforced. Food and first aid supplies will be torpedoe launched from one of our offshore subs. We do hope the proper government is restored soon as it was turning more and more capitalist.

The Prime Minister, on XG Xin Wen:

The Imperial Forces have secured the embassy as a centre for the control of Imperial forces and forces loyal to the old government, not the new government. The few streets around it have also been secured, and we are fighting for Government House. The flag of the Grand Duchy is flying alongside it's older brother's flag, the flag of the Empire. The Emperor has declared that, should Dawn fall, more forces will enter. Helicopters have secured the airspace over the area of Dawn contolled by Imperial forces. We hope to expand the controlled region to take the main roads, now abandoned by most people, save the Government forces. We hope to take the main east-west axis of the city, and move downwards. We have special ties with the Duchy, and will not allow its degradation into dystopia.

In a push for Dawn Minora, Imperial forces have encountered Gort. Our control of Dawn Minora is improving, but there is huge resistance to a push for Dawn Mayora. Twelve Imperial Warriors have died the most honourable of deaths.

In other news, Des reports that the majority of the tunnels are in useable condition, so we have a transit system that is not being policed by the 'govenment'. If you need a bolthole, GET TO THE TUNNELS!

Joyous news! The Baron, tired but victorious, has started to head out east at the head of an army 10,000 strong! The army is made up mostly of farmers, but 10 dragons march with them- most of the male population. Onreca is reporting great success convincing the unicorns of the middle west to join our cause. Neither have heard a whisper from Anroca.

I should also add that no-one, repeat no-one is to launch an attack on parliament house. Any full control of it by any party would result in a total power vacuum, and the situation may worsen...

[The following little scene takes place within a military base, still contolled by the false government.]
1st Wing Commander Kennason looks out over a range of bombers and fighters. He nods. His soldiers salute. No words are needed. They board thier planes, and scream out of the base.
An aide creeps quietly up to him. "Sir..."
"What?"Kennason stares staight ahead.
"The troops have been dispached sir. Uh. Sir...?"

"Are you sure this is nessecary sir? I mean that all the people are really ticked of already, and attacking may aggravate them further, plus..."
Kennason lets the aide rabbit on for a while then turns.
"This nation requires cleansing. Humanity are the true lords of the earth. Did God give the earth to the dragons? To the unicorns? The mongol crossbreeds?"
The aide is impressed. Kennason rarely wastes this many words on anyone.
"Nosir, but-"
"One more word and I shoot you dead."

We have just had disasterous news. Fandarel, most gentle of souls, has been taken hostage by HU.

Word has also reached us of the bombing of Spineridge to the north.

A temporary med station has been set up in the tunnels, just outside Mayora. If anyone in your armies need medical attention, head for it.

Des has emerged from the tunnels at Spineridge. The news is beyond awful. The centre of the city has been looted, and most of the suburbs have been bombed.

A missing Half-Unicorn runner for the revolution has been found in nearby fields. She had been tied up, and the field had been burned.

:cry: Once this is over, we'll have to build a third monument with the names of all soldiers killed during the war. :cry:

The Baron's march throught the country has been a great sucess. So far they have encountered no resistance, and thier ranks swell daily.

Further news:the false government is bringing in mercinaries at Libridge. Close to a million men are being brought in from overseas, and thats only the ones that we know of.

Our fleet has just dropped off three hundred thousand of our men, to intercept the mercenaries. We expect victory tobe easy, despite being outnumbered, due to our equipment, far superior to that of the mercinaries.

The march has accelerated- it's more of a jog now.

Here's a rather interesting nugget of news- a small army from governmental forces is expected to converge with the revolution in the next ten minutes.

More shells whistle over the column. A few hit home. The cries of the wounded mingle with the roars of the rising dragons.

[Rear of HU army]"Keep those mortars firing! Get ready to start strafing the front ranks! Don't let them reach us!" Soldiers rush to obey the orders of General Durham, boy-faced seneior officer of HU.
"Sir, are you sure it's wise to shoot our own civilians?"
"Any man who waves a sword at me no longer qualifies for civilian status. We're simply carrying out the law, albeit with a touch of extra zeal."
"Sir, I signed up for the police fore, not the army. It is my job to defend our citizens, not execute them."
Durham does not reply. He just shoots the man dead.

With a great roar, the front of the liberationists rush down into the valley between the two armies. The answering machine gun fire cuts them down in swathes. But for each man killed, two take his place. The HU 'army' is largely made up of members of the police force, and is hardly expert. Three of the dragons fly over the column, burning all.

The result of the charge is short and bloody. Most of the enemy forces run away, thier fear of Durham overcome by their fear of what lies in front of them.

The Empire still meets considerable resistance in Dawn, but tanks are entering an old market square, sadly abandoned and still reeking with the smell of bombs.

IC:We are having considerable trouble with commuications at present. We suspect that the government (HU, that is) is tapping in.We're gonna have to shut down all coms for a few days, until we get it working again. There ill be no posts from tomorrow till sat/sun.

Sadly, communications have broken down with the Grand Duchy's true government. We fear HU may have captured it. As the nation from which the Grand Duchy was founded, the nation which introduced it to the world and the nation which has pledged to protect it for all eternity, and as the nation which is its oldest ally, the Empire of Xiang Gang is taking command of the organised resistance until the Grand Duchy's leaders are fit to do so. Freedom country, Jaratia, Five civilized nations: head for the capital. We will take Dawn and force the enemy to Spineridge before we vanquish them and bring peace to the great land of the red dragons. The Emperor will bestow upon all who fight against the enemy Honourary Imperial Knighthoods, one of the highest honours the Empire can bestow on a foreigner. As for the Government of the Duchy, when it resurfaces, it will be given the High Order of the Grand Duchy Under the Imperial Dragon, an ancient award not bestowed for a thousand years. Vanquish the great evil and secure the calm that is deserved!

Alright, we've found what was happening. A spy was masquerading as a member of the revolution and asking our messengers for info. We've caught him now, but keep ne eye on your info lines at all times.

The Empire believes that there must be government. 20 members of the Parliament have arrived, but we need the real ones, the main members. We need government. We would prefer if it were in our capital, Yongjing, which is very secure, but we realise the government's desires would be to stay as close to Dawn as possible. The Empire emplores all nations to accept this government in its new location: Duchess, move your officials there or to Yongjing!
